the Harrier actually wasn't the first V/STOL aircraft, but it was the first combat V/STOL aircraft. the first "jump jet" was actually the Short SC.1. the Harrier was derived from the Hawker Kestral (P.1127), which was built after learning the flaws from the SC.1.
the harrier had water stored in it to spray into the engine to keep it cool. when they were hovering, the engine got really hot and there was only enough water to keep it cool to hover for 90 seconds WITH having enough for the rest of flight. But the aircraft could fly for longer or further, the less time you hover, as there would be more water. I hope you like this information and it was helpful!

You guys at brickmania should do a set series of the future of the world's nations militaries like the Armata tank, F-35, the new Abrams tank and new Oshkosh defense MRAP vehicles. I think it would be cool if you guys made this series of the brand new war machines that countries have just introduced.
I think the helmet you guys showed is inaccurate. It looks to be an hgu 56 with the ballistic facemask and that helmet is mainly used on helicopters. And if they did use it on the harrier they definitely did not use the face mask as well
I love the canopy! Also, how did you get the wings to slope at that angle (if you're allowed to tell me)? Whatever it is, that technique works perfectly here!
