Celine is honestly pretty strong as a utility Byleth user. The magic and speed are both nice, and can save her from being doubled. Her massive luck stat means Divine Pulse gives her near guaranteed hits on everything: at IL40, she has 37 LCK, +12 from Byleth, +the base 50% trigger chance for 99% with any staff or weapon. She won’t hit that as a utility unit, but even if she’s supremely underlevelled, she still has 90% DP chance on top of her actual hit rates. She can inherit Draconic Hex for the 5 range Thoron/Elthunder pokes/hexes with her ok magic stat; has decent strength/res so can bait mages with the Sword of the Creator’s 1-2 range; can hit relatively hard with the Vajra-Mushti since it always targets the lower of Def/Res (though she’s unlikely to quad without more speed fixing). You could also get Favorite Food on her basically for free before chapter 11 since she normally already has decent bond levels with Celica.
Fixed mode Anna gaming: -Promote to Berserker at lvl10 -suffer on Berk till lvl14 then switch off to Warrior -Warrior ilvl 40 Anna on this path caps dex, mag at 21 (24 Byleth) has 27 strength, 32 spd iirc (35 with Byleth) , low def and res, 20 lck and 12 bld Slap on Byleth and you got Blutgang, SoC, Vajra, Radiant and Long bow, Noatun, divine pulse+, and 32 lck all before any stat boosters according to Triangle Attack Engage Spreadsheet. Spd +5 and gentility + nice too. Just a fun different Anna and Byleth build. Inb4 high investment lul
Also concerning Anna... if you go with Sage, she gets the +2 range to her spells so she becomes a literal artillery piece that nukes everything in the game. This is particularly good considering you can place her almost anywhere for the dance. It feels powerful to nuke someone with Anna (+Speedtaker), dance Anna with Seadall, have Anna dance everyone, then have Seadall dance Anna again for a 2nd nuke (+Speedtaker again). Anna is usually my go to dance dance revolution partner and she absolutely slays.
Thyrsus users are the one thing in the game that can kill Wyrms from outside their attack range, and they can dish out Counterattacks against them in EP. I think that's pretty undervalued
From a pure Endgame perspective, my Byleth user is Anna -- more luck. On Hard mode, where Skirmishes are limitless, it's a fantastic gold-farming battery. Any other time? My Alear's usually pretty high-leveled by the time I get Byleth on account of the DLC maps, so giving him to her is fantastic. She can support the rest of my team with her personal Skill and Instruct without having a lot of dead turns.
I usually have Anna inherit a plus luck skill from Byleth and pair him up with other units who do more support because I want Anna killing things and not instructing and goddess dancing
Although Alear is not the best user but I think Alear benefits the most from byleth. Alear gets access to a two range sword early and an axe. Also I love running a buff dragon (Alear) and debuff dragon (veyle +corrin) in my team comp. It feels so much better than just thyrus spam imo. Also I think flying byleth is bad unless it's on a griffin knight but even then it's meh. I'm a Clanne fan but he's definitely low c tier in this listing for sure
I made Anna a griffon knight knowing it tied for the second highest lck growth while keeping her spd stat very high in comparison to a sage build. I think Levin sword (Dawn enforced) is enough merit to forgo thyrsus. Enough so that Byleth is mandatory for Anna to thrive. Then Veronica appeared and I felt her luck boost was sufficient as long as Anna inherited a luck +10 skill.
I find it to be tricky because byleth is useless in most cases while not engaged unless youre accuracy fixing which almost any other emblem has some sort of utility to use when not engaged it's in an odd place. Best unit is prob any sage for the range while dancing when the bar fills can't think of any other use. Personally think the buffs should be possible outside engage there's no reason not to when rally does what byleth does but way better with chrom
Byleth is like 3 emblems in one, but his mage is the best. Not because his phys traits are bad, but because phys emblems have so much competition. Mages have far less to pick from, so a strong mage emblem gets gobbled up. Goddess dance is much easier to set up on range(for that perfect 4 target), and +2 tome range is so broken its unreal. His only downside is having too much utility for a single unit to harness it all.
Idk about seadoll being bad on byleth. If you think about it him dancing is like attacking normally while goddess dance would be his engage attack. I get your reasoning icg, it's a strong argument but after five playthroughs without a dancer maybe I just don't value it as much. I'm currently doing a run based on Seadoll supports as a Lucina bonded shield. It's really good. I think people are quite clipping his wings by making him just a bond ring dancer. Im a big advocate to never just have ur units do one thing. They should be good said one thing but the should be able to do other things. For example I always put Celica on Anna because it gives her access to recover staff. So if it's necessary she can prevent death. Can also inherit canter since Celica gives mag+ for free
Seadall doesnt want byleth. It is much better to dance and put him range of a goddess dance. This gives 2 long range dance and 3 goddess dance, much easier to set up than a perfect 4 Gdance.
Dancing into being GDanced into Dancing again is cracked, I don't see why you'd ever pass up on it. Especially given that Byleth has excellent offensive potential as well, which is entirely left unused on Seadall.
Alear into Veyle, that is the best user for Byleth, Dragon instruct and Dragon dance is so much stronger. Don't consider anyone else than a dragon class. Alear, Veyle, Nel be S tier for byleth. Rafal be A tier since he is a dragon, but does not use magic at all, and is the best bruiser in the game far better than Timerra and byleth does nothing to help him deal damage or tank better. Everyone else is D tier on byleth.
Anna, an unit you want to have kills, is F tier for an utility ring like Byleth - literally is the worst user. Anna benefits way more from being danced than dancing others, 2 kills is 2x chances for gold, dancing as Anna is 0x chances for gold. Anna is the only unit that is actually straight F tier for Byleth and you should never place Byleth on her. Bow Knight ends up being the best for the growths and caps, 70% speed, 70% dex, 60% luck; you can accurately shoot down fliers and Radiant Bow will one shot fliers, and with claude's ring, the extra bow range offers more opportunities to make kills that you otherwise could not make. Anna shooting down the fliers is a lot of gold, while still providing an anti-armour role because of Radiant Bow, and long bow for extra chip damage or finishing off an enemy that barely lived (plus a physical option for high res enemies = more kills).
Byleth grants 12 points of luck for free, increasing Annas Gold Output a bunch, which combined with the increased killing power that Byleths Mag, Speed and Thyrsus grants, easily offsets the 1-3 dance turns per map. Especially given that you can dance your dancer and have them dance your Anna back to still get one kill with her that turn. If you wanna commit into Annas gold dispenser role, why would you specialize her into being anti-air when you can turn her into a super lucky Supermage that can kill anything she looks at?
Actually I miscalculated, if you set it up well enough you don't miss out on any kills with Anna Byleth, you can kill something with her, dance her with Seadall, GDance him, and have him dance Anna for a second kill. You lose zero kill potential from GDance turns if you do it right.
@@MasterStacona one action in every 5+ turns, in exchange for increased kill potential and higher gold drop chance per kill. Not even remotely enough to drop her down to F-Tier. Again, depending on how often you GDance and how many kills per turn you get, the 12 free luck you get from Byleth can easily outpace the potential Gold loss of the one kill you lose out on. Hell, lets do the math. Sage has the same Luck growth, cap, and base as BK, with Claude that's 32 at cap. However, with Byleth, her luck shoots up to 43, that's 11% more trigger chance per kill. Even if Anna kills just 3 enemies inbetween GDances, it already slightly outpaces the potential Gold output, going way higher if you get more kills inbetween. A Byleth Sage Anna will on average get 860 Gold from 4 kills, and a Claude BK Anna will on average get 800 Gold from 5 kills. And 4v5 kills isnt even a realistic average. If we go up, to 7v8 kills or 10v11, Byleth Anna completely outpaces Claude Annas Gold output, while needing less kills to do so (which is an upside in fact, other units need XP too). And I forgot to mention that unlike BK, a bondshielded Sage Anna can take on and easily oneround enemies from any range in EP. Which skyrockets her kill count beyond anything BK can dream of. It's honestly not even close.

Do best leif users for da memes or do tiki maybe for dlc users
Bond Level 4 Leif Panette is cracked, I will die on this hill

I would advocate for Timerra since it can get her more things to do and lucky tanky ness
Rally+ pretty much makes instruct meaningless so mostly just use the dance and then go Vajra Mushti

Griffin Anna is a force to be reckoned with she's almost 30 luck and she's shredding too fast hogging too much exp for me xD

Just gotta throw in that jade uses byleth well on magical classes. I really don't think she's a tank.
