Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?

Online bullying in Korea is deadly because of the nature of Korean culture which views negative attention as shameful. This song was written because of the suicide deaths of Kpop Idol/actress Sulli and her close friend singer Goo Hara after intense internet attacks. They were only the latest victims at the time and they were friends of friends of Dreamcatcher Sua and they are the dying angels she sings about. Dreamcatcher have received plenty of online hate themselves, but there are seven of them and they are very close and supportive of each other. Performers with solo careers are very vulnerable because they often have nobody to back them up.
So the Dystopia trilogy is based on Hear No Evil (Scream), Speak No Evil (Boca), See No Evil (Odd Eye), which is a fun fact on top of the themes of bullying and hatred.

Maybe listen to the song once and then replay to breakdown lyrics because you kind of lose the experience and feel when pausing alot. Dont get me wrong I am all for taking time to understand the meaning but also the song is meant to be experienced
There are few cool visuals in this music video, two of them are: 1) The statues that can be seen behind one of the members (Siyeon) in the first prechourus, these statues have red tape (the color of "bad"/"evil" they use it various times during this trilogy for this reason) and this tape remains colored while the scene turns black and white. For me this symbolizes that the "negativity spoken" in the past can still have an impact on the present. 2) The effect that hit one of the members (Yoohyeon) in the bridge. I actually think its an arrow and it its shot a few scenes earlier (by Yoohyeon herself), which symbolizes that things you "fire" will hit you back for me. But these are just two, its very fun to take a look at different their mv's and figure out the symbolisms, most of the time they are really cool. Thanks for your reaction!
