So obviously I was a bit off on my Boca Zombie version theory, I had no idea it was based on a show 😅
hehe dont overthink the dance videos, is just that cool dance videos. Have you already check the BOCA dance part Switch? that is really fun.
Also the dystopia version is because was the end the trilogy so they went with all the previews outfits, and Handong in the end with the mask was because during scream there was a "masked" dancer in her spot.
and about the signs behind, let me tell you those are from the set not from Dreamcatcher, that set is used by a LOT of groups and artist, mostly small companies and fresh debuted groups and those signs are always in the background
It’s also kinda a thing in kpop to release something with horror theme for Halloween, which they did with this Zombie Boca
I was going to comment on the zombie video. That said, I highly recommend checking out the series. It's called Kingdom and it's fantastic! So Dami is dressed up like the prince in the series which is appropriate because:
1. Her nickname used to be Prince Dami (haven't heard it used in quite sometime so don't know if she's dropped it) and...
2. The prince in the series is being hunted by the royal guards so he part in the original MV with the arms reaching out for her can be viewed as the royal soldiers trying to catch her in this video.
and a very good show it is
i got chills when i saw 24:24 when our dongie removed the mask implying that it's like it's her all alone as if she's not absent to the first two videos.. deukae fighting!!

The other outfits in the Odd Eye video are actually call backs to the other parts of the Dystopia trilogy. The black suits are from Scream (colour variations of the suits you saw in the Scream video) and the red outfits are from Boca. That goes for all of the members, not just Gahyeon btw :P What's really nice is that they made new custom Scream and Boca outfits for Handong too. She didn't originally participate in those comebacks because she was in China at the time.
Also, a neat detail, at the end of the Odd Eye video you see Handong symbolically remove the black mask from her face. Basically saying "the masked girl is no more, I am back in full force!"

I have to second this. To this day I still have not seen another girl group (not dance crew) that has ever tackled Hala Hala's chorus.

The Odd Eye video was my favorite because it has them in outfits from different parts of the utopia series (Scream suits, Boca red fits, Black or White outfits, etc) and you get to see what Handong would have worn in each of those mvs if she was there
Idk about ya'll, but I cried when Handong removed that mask in the end. Handong has come a long way......
You are right, Handong was in China after competing in a survival show and wasn't able to sing in Scream and Boca :)

Han Dong was in China for a thing and then she got STUCK there for almost a year because of sudden travel restrictions. I think that is the company's choreographer wearing the mask in Scream, standing in for Dongie (but I could be wrong about that).
So yes, she was also still stuck in China through the Boca era. It was Yoohyeon who shot herself with the arrow. Don't worry, I know it has been a while since you reacted to that video.
We were all SO GLAD to have Dongie back when Odd Eye came out! So this version of Odd Eye makes me tear up when Dongie reveals herself from behind the mask. Obviously I knew she was back already, it's just that it was such a huge RELEIF because they were all back together! DC did a great job while they were down by one member, I give them that. But it just was not the same, like they were incomplete without Dongie. So now that they are all together again, everything is right in the world. Or, at least, until you realize that Han Dong misses her home and her parents...
It wasn‘t the choreographer but many people thought so for a while!
Actually the masked dancer is debuting in a group called „Witchers“ under the stage name Risia :D

Be sure to check out the Dreamcatcher Scream Dance Special Version. Doesn't include Handong, of course, but there are special references in the costumes and choreography that have meaning. See if you can figure them out. :)
They really went all out with the zombie concept. The makeup artist working on the zombie look is the same artist from the drama Kingdom. They changed some dance moves to match the folk outfits and also incorporates some zombie movements after they were "infected". Even the prop flags are full of rips and torns.
I really love your point of the BOCA K-Zombie ver.
Some more detail from the 'Odd Eye' Dance Video (Dystopia ver.), when they change the suits part. Actually, that choreography also is the Scream and BOCA choreography in odd eye choreography too.
You can see when they change to the black suits(Scream era suits), that choreography is the hand move with devil horn. And change to the red suits(BOCA era suits), also can see the they have a hand move like a mouth and that is BOCA choreography.
And also you can see the mask part too, and the same time they change to the black suits.(the original odd eye choreography didn't have the mask, and the flag part too, flag is BOCA choreography.)These two part is Dystopia ver conspicuous change.
One more point is odd eye choreography ending part is the Scream choreography opening. How amazing are they.~~
I genuinely teared up when they put out the Odd Eye Dystopia ver and Dongie took that mask off. Our Ice Princess was finally home and all the stress that she might leave the group was gone.
The Odd Eye dance actually has a lot of easter eggs from the Dystopia trilogy in it. During the chorus it has the devil horns from Scream and the mouth from BOCA and the second to last pose is the opening pose of Scream(as if to signify that this is a loop that never ends). In the Dystopia dance video they make a point to change into the Scream outfits when they do the devil horns and into the BOCA outfits when they do the mouth!
There are so many good dance videos of Dreamcatcher but I would really love if you reacted to their dance practices! There's so much complexity that's lost when the camera starts moving around, epsecially with the beginning of Goodnight and pretty much all of Deja Vu. Deja Vu, for being so lowkey during the verses, has an incredible amount of details in the dance.
I suggest watching the dance video for Black or White. Their outfits are top tier bias wrecking material (perhaps what they're made of 😉) and the dance is spectacular, of course. If I'm not mistaken, the music, at least the guitar, is something of a nod to Michael Jackson. SuA even does a moonwalk during the bridge while holding her hat (yes she's wearing a hat 🖤) kinda like MJ did in Smooth Criminal.
Another dance video from The Tree of Language album is Red Sun. SuA did the choreography for that one.

18:00 it was Yoohyeon who shot another version of herself with an arrow and she was shooting that arrow around that part of the song (end of the 2nd chorus), but the arrow actually hit Yoohyeon later in the bridge
Although people have said about their outfits in the Dystopia version, strangely they missed one thing. One outfit is from Black or White. As far as i can remember (without rewatching DC notes videos) the story was, they want to reminisce previous titles and make it into one Dystopia version. And also since Handong back in Odd Eye, they want to wear what they wore in Scream, Boca, Black or White because now they are ot7.

Is not from black or white, is from the outfits in the photobook of Odd eye, thats the only time they use those outfits

I think the last part of Scream can also mean proving their haters wrong by performing good in stage. Making their haters scream can mean either converting them to fans that scream for them, or to hate on them more because of being jealous of how good dreamcatcher is. The line yoohyeon said "Everyone, watch me and scream" fit this really well.

Because this video was Early Access for Patreon, and then I released it on YT a week later, today :)
maybe the sign that said "this way to love" was an easter egg to BEcause since they already prepared that comeback in the middle of Odd Eye promos.
These are all 4 great videos, especially the Boca and Odd Eye dance video. The normal dance for Boca is kind of the same but (like you probably already saw or at least expected) different from this version. When you really want to see the choreo I recommend viewing the dance practice video's, they are a bit less budget (it is just a still camera frame in a practice room) but the choreo itself is a lot more clear. I think for reactions the videos you did are great but in your own time (if you like) I recommend the dance practices 😁.
Just so you know (also, if you are interested, for in your own time) some online concerts they have done during the corona pandemic contain live band versions of many of their songs (including these). So since you are more into the rock (metal) music these may be interesting to you (reacting can maybe be done on the Patreon but this is just a recommendation without some kind of reaction in mind).

Well, I can watch Dreamcatcher dance video all day. Dystopia trilogy era has a lot of dance video. Pre-Dystopia, not so much, which I'm a bit sad. I was hoping Apocalypse era will continue to have a lot of dance video but it doesn't seem it will.
I would say to check out the dance practice for Good Night. The dance has one of my favorite openings that you can't really appreciate in the dance video you watched.

yeeeay we're checking dance videos now!! since you started doing this i cant wait till you see 'you and i' and the choreography of this music, its the absolute best. also just one thing, if you want to check the details of the choreo better, i recomend the dance practices because dance videos focus more on the visual and sometimes its hard to see :)
😅Behind the scene video of BOCA K-zombie, other members were saying Gahyeon was cute too! Always great to your Dreamcatcher reactions, you should see them live! I saw them Thursday in Chicago, it rocked so hard I lost track of all the songs they performed!! Yoohyeon is more elegant in person, all were spectacular on the stage🤩 with JiU still my bias!!!
These are all fantastic versions! I love how much content this group puts out for us and getting to see all the choreo in a professionally-shot video. Such creative concepts too!!! Did you notice all the little touches they put in for their costumes like Dami’s salute and acting like she’s shooting an arrow in the zombie version bc she’s a traditional Korean warrior, and Gahyeon tugging on her vest in Odd Eye? I love those kinds of details 😁 Your reaction to the zombie change was GREAT
I know you said there will be a part two with more of these performance videos, but I also want to recommend checking out some of their relay dances! The girls always have loads of fun, and Sua largely organizes them! I think my favorites are Wind Blows and BEcause.
Also, some other related song recs: I know you recently checked out PinkFantasy’s song Poison. Their song Tales of the Unusual has a zombie version that would be great to see next! It’s a super cool song. Aaand finally, I know you also like metal and have reacted to some Nightwish, so I wanted to recommend another huge group in symphonic metal called Within Temptation. Their newest single Don’t Pray For Me just came out, and the music video is dropping next Wednesday. Think you’d like them a lot since you’re so into deciphering the meanings of songs, and they always have big themes of both internal and societal conflict in their music.
You might also enjoy some of their part change choreography videos.

You should check out their Self-made MV's, like "Sahara", "Break the Wall" and "Poison Love". They are so much fun!
Love your reactions, so glad I found your channel! If you enjoy these types of Dreamcatcher dance videos, I suggest the Boca “ part switch”video. Each member switched parts with another, it’s crazy how well they can imitate each other ( dance style, quirks etc).

OH man, when you get to them What and Piri will blow your mind from the intros. Their intro canons and tableaus are just *chef's kiss.* I still maintain that it is an absolute *CRIME* that tutting sequence wasn't in the MV for Good Night.
Also - relay dances! You have to see those, they are *hilarious* because they're always doing something in the background. (Although... watch out for the ABracadabra one... at least have some water bc *no one* can watch that video respectfully. They go *absolutely nuts* in it. And the song isn't theirs... it's from Brown Eyed Girls and it came out in 2009. The MV was banned for being too sexy and too homoerotic. Dreamcatcher did the song proud with how they went for the relay dance.)

Lol, almost... they did turn the light off and use shadows to "hide" some of the sexier moves, but they did respect the essence of the original video, one of the greatest Relay Dance ever, for sure.
And the intro for Good Night... Totally agree, that is one of the best Kpop choreo intro ever, top ten for sure, the footwork, the synchro, contrasting body movements, so much is going on, it's incredible! In the same league as VIXX's Voodoo Doll intro, which is my favourite...

Sua is crazy but she’s very serious & professional when she’s working. Although she’s super friendly with the members, she did not allow them to not call her without the honorific. In Korea (please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong), they usually call older women as ‘eonnie’ which means ‘big sister’. For example, since Yoohyeon is younger than Sua, she will call her as ‘Sua-eonnie’. Sua does not allow the younger members to call her Sua without the eonnie because she once said in a variety show that eventhough they are really close, they’re still working partners that’s why she wants the members to respect that.
So JiU is THE ONLY member who does not call her that...well that's fair, as long as SuA sticks to that herself and uses the honorific for JiU.
You should defo check out Sleepwalking (DC song) Black or white performance video (the dingo one) and Lucky strike which is a Maroon 5 cover :)
