Do i need to submit any documents for larger transfer?
If yes. How much is that?
Please specify.
Hi. You might need to share documents if you're going to be making a larger transfer, and we explain it a bit more here: wi.se/largetransferdocs.
Our team would reach out to us via email, if there's anything we need from our side 😊
The recipient is myself; in that case, do I need an NRI account? Or should a savings account even be okay? If you suggest NRI might be best, then which bank (HDFC/SBI/etc.) is best with fewer conversion charges?
Hey, there. Thanks for reaching out. You can send INR to someone's bank account in India, including NRE and NRO accounts, or UPI ID. If you have an external savings account, that should also work. We've covered more info here: wi.se/guidetoinr
As for the banks and their conversion, it's something we can't cover here - banks and other providers set their own rates. But if you'll ask about Wise's conversion, we use the mid-market rate: wi.se/mid-marketrate
If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hi, I am an Indian, living in Europe. and I have a wise account in Euro. and I want to create either a Jar or a Balance in Indian rupees. so that I can send it to my family (Indian bank account) whenever it's necessary as INR. I understand if I create a Jar, and I want to withdraw I need to withdraw it to the same currency balance (i.e. Indian rupees in my case). Even though the Indian rupee balance doesn't have account details. I think it should not be an issue as I just want to send INR to the Indian bank account. could you please clarify this? Thank you in advance!
Hello, Sharal 🙂 You'd be correct, this is possible. Although we don't offer account details for INR balances at this time, you can still open one and convert from your EUR account. Here's how: wi.se/moneyconversion. From there you can go into your INR balance and select "Send" and then input your families bank account info.
We hope this helps, feel free to DM us on one of our other social channels such as Instagram or Facebook if you have more questions.
Can i use wise for my shopify store from India for international ecommerce please give me ans
Hey, Bhavin. For this, you'll need to open a business account. You can do this here: wi.se/businessaccount We have a detailed guide here regarding receiving payments from Shopify: wi.se/shopify-guide If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our business support team here: wi.se/contactus We'll be happy to help.
Hey, Is wise still accepting Uk companies, I tried to sign up as a buisness account using a LTD, but it says that i should join a waitlist.
Hi there, Hamza - thanks for reaching out. We've temporarily paused onboarding new businesses from the UK and EEA countries and as a result, some customers will be asked to join a waitlist. We’re working hard on bringing this feature back, but at the moment, we don't have a definite timeframe for when this will happen.
Do keep an eye on this link for any updates: wi.se/getabusinessaccount and please be sure to add your info to the waitlist.
Feel free to reach out to us over on social media for more help. This can be on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram - we're here to help 💚
Hi there,
I did create a personal account on WISE in India to receive a payment from US, but I'm not able to request for a payment. Is request a payment feature available in India??
Could you please confirm this asap the payment is due for almost 2 weeks now...
Receiving money into your Wise account isn't available for personal accounts in India, Hritik. Opening balances is only available for customers in certain regions, as listed here 👉 wi.se/balanceavailability
U just need to give ur info to sender fill and send in your bank account
Now im working in maldives , if i have wise account, but i have no ban account debit card in maldives can i use others debit card to transfer money to my india account through wise app ,?? Is it possible to send money ? Or mandatory need one account for me in maldives ?? Explain me clearly
Hey, Mohamed. You certainly can send money to your INR account in India with the Wise app, and it's not mandatory to have an account in the Maldives. We’ll show you the available payment methods when you’re paying for your transfer - for most currencies, you can pay using your debit or credit card: wi.se/payingbycard
Also, here is our guide on INR transfers: wi.se/guidetoinr
If you have any further questions, be sure to send us a message in our other social media channels, we'd be happy to help 🙂
Will the sender be able to see my address if I already have a wise business account in India? I intend to receive payments via my email but don't know how.
Hi 👋 The sender wouldn't see your account/personal details like your address. Here's how receiving money via email works: wi.se/money2email, but let us know if you need any help there, or reach out to us from here: wi.se/contactus, so we could guide you through the steps.
How I can choose or select only the HDFC Bank out of 3 partnered intermediary banks for India while I initiate the money transfer from UK (gbp) to India bank account (inr).
Hey there, thanks for reaching out. Right now, we don't have the option available for you to choose which banking partner will be used for your transfers to INR.
Please keep an eye out on our website, as we'll be sure to let everyone know when any updates for things like this happen 😊
@Wise thanks for your response. Why I'm asking is because other 2 partnered intermediary banks takes much time and cost to issue e-firc compared to HDFC Bank. Also it would be good if wise can issue the e-firc for bank to bank transfers via wise where recipient don't have wise account in India, due to wise service not available in India. It will help the Indian recipient to comply with IT norms. Thanks!
We're always working to improve our customers experience, so thanks for your feedback. Keep an eye on our social media channels for any updates on this.
In case you need further assistance, due to platform limitations here, we’re not able to contact you via DM. If you have any other social media accounts like Facebook, X or Instagram, reach out to us there, and we’ll gladly follow up.
Or if you prefer, you can also contact us via email/phone here: wi.se/contactus
Thanks.
I have created a wise business account in india. My employeer in US has also created a wise business account in US. If they transfer via wise balance to my wise accoun will there be any charges for that?
Hey, Prajwal 👋 Generally, our fees for sending business payments start from 0.43%: wi.se/wise_business_fees. However, if you're making a Wise to Wise payment in the same currency, we won't charge a fee.
Feel free to reach out to us via other social media channels like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter/X for more assistance. We'll be glad to help you there.
When will i receive the funds in my individual state bank of india account if my sender sends it from usa using his debit card
Hi there. Note that the transfer speed depends on a few factors, such as time the transfer is set up, routine checks and more: wi.se/howlongdotransferstake
For USD to INR transfers, it can take up to 6 working days, but it's usually faster as he paid with his debit card. More info on USD and INR transfers here: wi.se/guidetousdtransfers and wi.se/guidetoinr
You can reach out to your sender for more insights on the transfer status and ask them for the transfer receipt once the transfer is completed: wi.se/getpdfreceipt
Can I use wise in India? I'm in Europe now and going to India soon, I have Euros in my wise account. Can I transfer that amount to my Indian account from India? Or I should be in Europe to do the transaction?
Hi, there. Generally, you can use Wise in most countries around the world - so long as you're not in any of these countries listed here: wi.se/wherecaniusewise
Also, the features will be the same depending on where your account is based, so if you're in India, you'll still be able to send to your Indian account (even if your account is an EU-based). We hope this helps.
Hello
Can I receive money from via wise to my account? If so is there any documents required? And whats the maximum amount we can receive via wise from Euro
Hey, there! You certainly can send money from Wise to your external bank account. Here you'll find detailed instructions on how to do it: wi.se/howtosendmoney
Since you're asking about receiving money with your external bank, you'd need to check with your bank the limits for you to receive. From our side, the limits to send money will depend on the currency: wi.se/sending_limits
We hope this helps, but feel free to reach out in case you have further questions.
Does debit card has to be international transaction enabled to make international payment?
Hey there, Harsha. It sounds like you're asking about paying for a transfer with your external debit card.
If we don't support the local currency for your card, your card will need to support international payments for you to use it 👉 wi.se/payingbycard
You can always check with your bank or card provider to make sure paying in other currencies is possible.
We have info on the currencies you can send from here 👉 wi.se/currencieswesupport
If you were talking about payments with the Wise card, you'll be able to spend in most currencies and countries 👉 wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard
But it's always good to check with the shop or merchant to make sure they accept Wise cards.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out on our official support channels: Facebook, X/Twitter, or Instagram.

Hi there. We hear you on this. Since it sounds like you're based in the UK, your account address with us should be your current location which's your UK address. So, for address verification, it should reflect your current location. We've explained what we accept here: wi.se/verifyyouraddress
However, for identity verification, you can upload files based on your nationality. Read more here: wi.se/verifyyourid
Lastly, with regard to Monzo, you'll need to reach out to them for insights on opening/managing an account with them.
is the money transferred to the recipient's bank account or in some wise wallet?
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. When you use our service to send money, you'll set up your transfer and choose the bank account you'd like the money to go to. And we share more info on this here: wi.se/howtosendmoney
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via one of our private channels on Facebook, X (previously Twitter), or Instagram, and we'll get back to you there with more info 😊
I have verified my wise account . But there's no way I can find to add my own bank account on which I will receive money from wise. I don't understand this. If I share the bank details wise gave me, to my client so it means I will receive money into wise, then How will I withdraw it into my bank account?
Hey there! To get account details to receive money, you'll have to open a balance first. If that option isn't available, then it might be that we haven't reached your region just yet: wi.se/balanceavailability But if they're available then after you receive money into your Wise balance, and then you can send it to your own local bank if you wish. Here's how to receive money: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney And here's how to send it away from your balance: wi.se/sendfrombalance

Hey, there 👋

How can I send INR to GBP if wise is not supporting personal accounts? Should I create a business account for it? It’s extremely urgent to send money to the UK. It’s become a task now to use wise. Please help!
Hi Bratati. We understand your urgency. However, at the moment, only customers residing in India who've used our services before can send money from INR. We're working to change this, but don't have an exact ETA to share just yet. More info on INR transfer here: wi.se/guidetoinr
You won't need to create a business account to send money with us if it's not business related. You can still use your personal account to send money using GBP via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments
If you need further assistance, please reach out to us here: wi.se/contactus or DM us on Instagram, X, or Facebook.

Do wise help withdraw and refund back money from a closed account?
Hi there, Kangethe - thanks for reaching out. Once the appeal process has been completed and the relevant team has done their due diligence, generally refunds are sent back to the account holder. The reason for an account being deactivated isn't something that we take lightly: wi.se/accountdeactivation and it's normally due to a conflict with our Terms of Service or Customer Agreement, or because of a discrepancy with a financial law: wi.se/customeragreement
If there's still money in the account balances, we’ll work on sending it back to the refund bank account once our due diligence has been done, and any incoming payments to the account will be refunded back to the sender. While we do that, the money and information will be safe and secure with us.
If the account holder believes there has been a mistake, they should file an appeal: wi.se/appeal and the relevant team will reach out, once they have any updates.
If you'e referring to your Wise account, please reach out to us over on social media for more help. This can be on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, or through this link: wi.se/contactus - we're here to help 💚
Hi is there any idea that u would run business in india too coz in india there are lot of people waiting for wise transaction comaparrd to other transaction methods
Hi Althaf. We're temporarily unable to onboard new businesses in India. We don't have a specific timeframe to share, but we're working on it and will update our customers once we have any news.
If you join the waitlist, we'll let you know over email once this feature is available in your country. If you've more questions, feel free to reach out through email or call from here: wi.se/contactus 🙂
how long does it take to transfer money from the Philippines to Egypt?
Great question, Abdo! At this time, transfer from PHP aren't available. You can put this on our wishlist, and you'll be the first to know as soon as it's available: wi.se/wishlist
However, if you have an account denominated in USD, EUR, or GBP, you can send from your account in the Philippines to us via SWIFT, and we'll pay out to your recipient's bank in EGP: wi.se/swiftpayments
These payments usually take 2-5 business days, and you can follow these steps to set up your transfer: wi.se/howtosendmoney
I had asked for money from Brazil but it has not come, it has been 5 days till now
Hey there. Are you expecting to receive money to your Wise account, or to your bank account?
If you're waiting on an incoming payment to your Wise account, this isn't something we can track. Depending on how it was sent, payments can take a few working days to be received. As long as your account details were entered correctly, the money will reach your account. Here's some general info: wi.se/howlongpaymentsbalance
If it's to an external bank account, we're only able to share transfer specifics with the sender (account holder) due to privacy reasons. Please get in touch with your sender directly in order to know more about the transaction. If your sender needs more help, you can let them know to contact us through phone or email: wi.se/contactus or DM us on social media.
Otherwise, you can drop us a DM through any Twitter, Facebook or Instagram so we can take a closer look at this. We're here to help.

Hi there! As we currently don't offer account details to INR, you won't be able to receive in this currency. Your family can send money in one of the currencies listed here: wi.se/balancecurrencies to your Wise account.

Hi, I need help. I am a freelance video editor. I urgently need to create an business account to receive money from usa but when I'm trying to create, it says i need to join waitlist. Is there any fast way to create an account and receive money from different countries to india.
Hey there! We understand your urgent need to receive money from your clients, however, at the moment, we don't offer our business account feature for the customers residing in India. We're fully aware that it's not ideal, but we're working on it and will update our customers once we have any news.
If you join the waitlist, we'll let you know over email once this feature is available in your region 🙂
U can receive money from your client. Tell them to send money to ur bank account. You need to provide your bank details for that
I am from India and i tried making an account to get my freelancing money from Usa , but when i make an account it gives the error of joining waitlist. Any solution? Its crucial
Hey there. We're glad to see you're ready to get started with our platform in order to receive business payments from abroad.
Having said that, due to high demand, you may indeed have to join a waitlist before you'd be able to sign up. And although this isn't exactly ideal, it's a temporary measure, and certainly not an error.
Furthermore, if you'd already joined the waitlist, then we'll make sure to notify you know as soon as you'll be able to open a business account with us.
We hope this explains things to some extent. But please feel free to send us a PM or DM on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. We'd naturally be glad to provide you with further assistance.

In Cambodia they use us dollars and their own currency so if someone wants to send me us dollars from Cambodia to India is this possible?

@@Wise sir can I send money in wise through trading prop firm and. Wise to Bank account
Any money sent to Wise, for transfer reasons and balance top-ups, can only come from an account in the account holder's name. While receiving or sending money via balances can be subject to limitations. In this case, platform's related to FX/CFD/options trading, for example, wouldn't work and go against our Acceptable Use Policy as shown in section 1.2.2: wi.se/usepolicy

@@Wise what is that mean I cannot understand
It means you might be able to send money to your Wise account using a trading prop firm, Yogesh - as long as the account over there is registered in the same name as the one in your Wise account. However, this can be subject to limitations.
I can’t send money from wise app. I have tried a lot. But i can’t send. Such a useless app for people who are staying in india
Hey, Ajay.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble sending money, you learn how to send money with Wise here: wi.se/howtosendmoney.
However, currently, only customers who reside in India and have used our services before can send money from India in INR. This means if you're a new customer, you won't be able to send money from INR. For more info on this, check here: wi.se/guidetoinr.
But you should still be able to send money using any of our global currencies, EUR or USD instead through SWIFT. Your bank might charge you extra to send money through this route, but you can learn more about the fees here: wi.se/swiftpayments.
If you have any questions on this, send us a DM on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook. Alternatively, you can also contact us via email/phone call here:wi.se/contactus.

Hello sir im a trader. Can i recive money in wise through prop firm and send to Bank ❤
Hey, Yogesh!
We shared more info on this in a previous comment, but just to reiterate: While we do support receiving payments to your balance details from 3rd party services, then keep in mind that receiving or sending money via balances can be subject to limitations.
So for example, platform's related to FX/CFD/options trading would be against our Acceptable Use Policy (1.2.2.f): wi.se/usepolicy and likely not to work.

Can i convert from egp to usd?
Hi. If you have EGP in your balances, then yes, you can convert it into USD: wi.se/moneyconversion 😊
If you're asking about sending EGP to USD, then this wouldn't be possible, because we don't support from EGP transfers at the moment.
Let us know if anything else comes up.

We don't support deposits from EGP, but if you have it in your balances, then yes, you can convert it into USD and then send it out: wi.se/guidetousdtransfers.
I mean can i add Egp then convert it to Usd?
You won't be able to add the EGP currency into your account, because we don't accept pay-ins from that currency. But, if you're holding a different currency in your balances, you can still convert it to USD, using the steps mentioned in the link above. Hope this helps!
