👋 I have a question please 😊:
I created a business account with wise and I have the wise app in my phone too, and I'm very happy with the services wise can offer, so I decided to create a personal account as well which I did with different login details.
My question is: how can I have 2 separate wise apps in my phone so I can manage my business transactions separately from my personal one?
Thank you in advance 🌷
Hey, there! We're really glad to hear that you've been enjoying our services!
As you already got a business account, in the app, just click on the circle in the top left corner to get to “Your account”. Once you’re there, click “Open a personal account” under Other accounts and follow the steps to open an account.
There you go, just access your business and personal account, separately, but under the same login 😉
Hi! Starting from what amount is considered a large transfer (EUR to PHP)? Thanks!
Hi. The maximum amount you can send to the Philippine bank accounts is 9 million PHP: wi.se/guidetophp, and if you're looking to transfer this amount, then we might need extra documentation from you: wi.se/documentsforlargetransfers.
Hope this clarified!
I have set up auto-conversions how do I list them and orcancel it? If I decide to take the daily rate will I be allowed to use all the money in the AU pot? Although I have not canceled. More info on this would be helpful.
Hi Liz! You can see a history of all Auto Conversion transactions on the "Manage" page of your Wise account, under Auto Conversions. You can delete any of your existing Auto Conversions from there. Learn more 👉 wi.se/auto-conversions
You choose the currencies, rate, and amount ahead of time. Once set up, we’ll watch the rate, and convert your money automatically when your desired rate, or better, is met on the market.
Some currencies have a max amount, but you'll see a message during setup if you try to exceed this conversion limit. Feel free to DM us on our other support platforms, Facebook, Twitter (X), or Instagram with any other questions, or contact us by email/phone here: wi.se/contactus
Thank you for this. Please I just signed up, and I am supposed to send money before I get a receiving account. Am I to send the money from my local account, to a wise user? Compulsorily from one currency to another? Or can i send locally between 2 accounts in one currency to? To enable me get a receiving account.
Thank you
Hey there 👋 These are some great questions! If want to receive money into your Wise account, you can get account details that you can share with someone who would like to send you money. To get account details, you'll have to top up your account with 20 GBP (or the equivalent in your currency) and get verified. You won't have to send money to another Wise user or send between two different accounts, you would just need to pay in using the available payment methods. See more info on getting account details here: wi.se/getbankdetails_
Keep in mind that at the moment, due to high demand, we've stopped offering the balance feature to new users in certain regions. This means that depending on where you live, you won't be able to obtain personal account details, to receive payments from others. Check here to see if you live in a country that's eligible for balances: wi.se/balanceavailability_
Wise is perfect. I am recommending it to everyone
Thanks, Farshid, we're so glad to hear that 🤩 If you ever need anything, we're just a PM away.
I would like to suggest having a wise generic card for immediate family members allowance transfering from the main accounts balance, for them to use on a regular basis for shopping etc..
Thanks for your feedback. We value your suggestion and will keep that in mind 😊
Hi, I was wondering if I have two wise cards, the normal and eco, how do I check the balance of each card please? On the home page on the app I can only see the total amount I have in my account but I would really like to learn how I can check the balance of each card! Thank you
Hi Lorena. So, the money that you hold on your account is the money you have to spend with both cards. The same balance is used for everything! Hopefully this helps, let us know if we can help with anything else.
I am new to wise, some countries use a 6 digit pin should i set up a card with 6 or 4 digit pin for traveling, Can i change my pin if need be ,or can i change while traveling
Hey there, welcome aboard! The options to customize your PIN will vary by what region it's issued. You can learn more here: wi.se/changepin 🔍
Will it close a card for inactivity if you don't do any transactions for a while? And is there a minimum balance requirement?
Hey, Jake! Thanks for reaching out.
Your card doesn't get blocked due to inactivity, unless you freeze your card - if you know that you won't be using it for a while, we recommend you to follow this option: wi.se/freezewisecard Besides that, your card will only stop working with it's expired, or if you request the card to be deactivated.
Also, there's no minimum balance requirement for your card to be active - only when you're opening a balance that you're required to do a one time deposit.
We hope this helps, but please let us know if you got other questions 🙂
@@Wise Beautiful! Never change, your product is already amazing. You've created the perfect travel card. Especially now that people are turning away from credit cards.
That's amazing to hear, Jake! Thanks a lot for the feedback, it means the world to us 💚
I plan to retire an live overseas on a US government pension. Can I have part of my pension funds transferred to my foreign bank (Brazil, Panama or possibly the Philippines)? I understand it is important to choose a QROPS bank. Is this the case for US government pensioners living as ex-pats? Thank you!
Hi, Greg. There shouldn't be any issues with receiving your pension from the US to these countries you mentioned. You can either receive the money into your local bank account, or into your Wise balances. You might want to look into this with the local government as well, about the eligibility and tax requirements.
Let us know if you need anything else.
Greetings is your card available for Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 and also Venezuela 🇻🇪?
Greetings 👋 We’re working hard to make cards available everywhere, but at this time Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela are not in the list of eligible countries. You can go on our waitlist, and we'll let you know when cards are coming your way: wi.se/cardwishlist_
It has been explained as a peer to peer system where money doesn't actually move across borders. Can you please explain the practicalities of how thecsystem works and howvit differs from traditional bank transfers?
Hey there, Declan! Most traditional banks are nationally-based, making it more expensive and challenging to move your money across borders.
But because we're a global service, we're able to receive and send your money locally.
For example, if you pay from the USA, in USD, and want to send money to the UK in GBP, we can receive your money locally in the US, and send out your GBP locally from the UK.
Find out more about how to send money here: wi.se/howtosendmoney
And feel free to reach out on any of our official support channels like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter/X if you have any other questions 🙂
I am from the Philippines and I can't open a new account details for me to be able to recieve a CAD. There's no open button in my dashboard. Please Help.
Hey there 👋 For new accounts in the Philippines, you should be able to make an account with us, but you'll only be able to send money. You can read more about that here: wi.se/howtosendmoney_ This means you won't be able to open new account details yet, either.
Our team's working hard to bring more features to you soon, and we'll be sure to let you know when they're available!
Can I send money to someone to their balance account in wise without having an account, I meant do it from my bank ?
Hi, Nathaly. Yes, we accept bank transfers as a payment method. As long as your recipient has account details opened in a supported currency, you should be able to send money into it. The recipient will share these banking details with you, and you'd simply initiate a bank transfer using these details. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to send us a direct message on our Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.
So how exactly does it work...sorry I must be a bit slow here 🤔 Do you have to hold money in different currencies so that costs are eliminated? example: I want to buy a plane ticket in Malaysia but all my wise money is in the UK currency. In order to get the no fees do i need the Malaysia money currency, or will i be charged the same if i pay in uk currency? is the purpose of all the currencies so you can play a bit of forex an maybe make some money? or is it you need it in that currency if you need to pay or else it wont work? What is the max for card payments without accruing fees?
Hey there. We'll try to reduce the complexity here.
Based on the example you shared about buying a plane ticket - You can spend your money in any currency that's supported. Let's say you're paying for these tickets using your Wise card. If you don't have MYR, it doesn't mean you can't spend. Our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the currency for you that has the lowest conversion fee.
About the conversion fees, in general, whenever a conversion is involved, there'll be a fee. Have a look here for the fee calculator: wi.se/ourfees_
Next, about holding multiple currencies, everyone has a different purpose for that. The benefits of having multiple currencies in one account with us, you can easily convert between currencies with a low fee. And, you can keep track of your spending in any particular currency.
If you're talking about taking advantage of good rates, we have an auto conversion feature where we’ll watch the rate, and convert your money automatically when your desired rate - or an even better rate - is met in the market.
Lastly, about spending fees. As mentioned earlier, if you have the currency in your account, it’s free. If you don’t have the currency in your account, there’s a conversion fee. Spending limits don't affect the fees: wi.se/whataremyspendinglimits

Question i travel to japan if i add money to my wise account in Canadian and leave it there or save little by little will the Canada change or will it just sit as is ? Before i convert to yen money
Hi. It would sit there as is, until you decide to either move it or convert it 😉
If you're travelling to Japan, and have our card as well, then there isn't any particular need to convert it to JPY. We use the smart conversion technology, so if you have CAD in your account, and pay in Japan, we'll automatically convert the money for you into JPY with the real mid-market rate and low conversion fees: wi.se/smartconversiontech.
Thank you so much for the information.@@Wise
Of course, Eri 🤩 We're happy to help.
good day..
i accidentally input a wrong bank number and someone already sent a money on that wrong bank number. is there way to refund it or cancel the transaction?? please help
Hello! If the transfer has been completed, the recipient's account details can't be updated until the money bounces back to us. Once this happens, we'll email the sender with instructions on how to adjust the banking details. The sender can then resend the transfer using the correct banking details.
If we haven't sent out the money to the recipient, the sender should be able to cancel the transfer. After doing so, the sender will set up a new transfer using the correct account details for the recipient. For more info, check this out: wi.se/canceltransfer_
If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to send us a direct message on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.
How do you know which currency the debit card will use?
Good question! If you have multiple currencies and are paying in one there isn't available in your balances, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. We explain more about it here: wi.se/paying-wise-card
I am an Australian who has lived in Thailand for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, Thailand is not on the list for a Wise Debit card - have been on a waiting list for more than a year. Any idea when Wise Debit cards will become available to foreigners in Thailand who already are active users of the Wise platform?
Hey Peter. Thanks for patiently waiting for our cards. However, this is something we're still working on.
Rest assured, since you've already joined our waitlist, you'll be the first to know via email once it's available there.
@@Wise any idea of how long I may have to wait fir the card to be available in Thailand. Is it possible to get the virtual card before the card is released in Thailand?
We don't have any timeframes to share at the moment, but we certainly hope to make it happen. Also, the digital card is only available where the physical card is, so the option to get the digital one isn't possible for the time being.
If there are any changes, we'll make sure to let you know 😊
Perhaps it's just me but I have still zero idea how it works. I need to know how account A and and B connect with Wise in the middle/
Hi there. Our smart technology links local bank accounts in countries all over the world. So often we’re able to use money from a Wise user sending money the other way around. More info how Wise works here: wi.se/howdoesitwork
With Wise, you can hold money in 40+ currencies, and convert between them at the real exchange rate whenever you need. It’s free to sign up, and there are no monthly fees. Can you offer some information on ‘scan to pay’ option. I can’t find it in the app. Thanks
Hi there 👋 Which feature are you referring to? Can you share the timestamp for this?
Feel free to contact us at wi.se/contactus_ with more details, we'll be happy to advise further.
I’ve read a Wise article describing the ‘pay like a local’ feature in the app but after following instructions I can’t see the feature
Thanks for clarifying this, Philip. Our Pay like a Local feature is quite limited at the moment, and it's only launched as a Swiss QR-Bill to a selected group of customers in Switzerland. We're working hard to expand this feature to more customers and we'll update this page when we've any news: wi.se/qrpayment 🚀
@@Wise thanks for info. I spend a lot of time in SE Asia where scan to pay is widespread.
No problem! Appreciate you sharing your interest on this feature 💚
Hello, I am from Philippines and I want to open an account in usd so I need to put php1400 but I can't pay through my card here in the philippines. Any advice? Thanks
Hi Juvy. We are unable to open new balances in the Philippines due to regulatory reasons: wi.se/balanceavailability_
Once we can offer this feature there again, we'll make sure to make an update. Sorry for the inconvenient.
Those wise has protection when you buy something?
Hi there! If you're buying something from an individual, please note, all transfers completed by Wise are final. So we can’t reverse or recall payments. Once your transfer is marked as completed on our website, we can’t cancel it. Wise doesn't have the ability to be involved in disputes between senders and recipients, so we strongly recommend that you know and trust the person or business that you are sending to before setting up a transfer or sending any money. If you have any questions, let us know. We're here to help 😊
When setting up my account it asked for my full legal name. I included my middle name. My bank account used for transferring money is in my usual name (which just has my middle initial on it.)
When transferring money Wise asks me about this. I know it's good to have the caution but I'm becoming frustrated as there seems to be an issue each time. Thanks for any suggestions to make things easier.
Hey, there.
As a regulated financial institution, we're obligated to run appropriate checks on all transfers that pass through our system. In most cases, these checks are quick enough as to go unnoticed, but sometimes we'll need additional details or new information to complete the payment. The reason why you're having an issue with this is because the name on your Wise account must match the name on the bank you're transfer money from. For more info on this, check here: wi.se/matching-name.
We can have a closer look into this on your end to see if there's anything we can do to solve this issue. But for us to do so, you need to send us a DM on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook with your membership number. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus.
If we already transferred 25.87 USD via debit card but we pressed the wrong button to cancel the transfer. Will they transfer the money to me? Will I have to wait a long time?
If you transfer next time Will there be any problems with the new transfer?
If the transfer was cancelled, you will not receive the money. You'll need to contact the sender for more info. We also explain how long refunds might take, here: wi.se/refunddeliveryestimate
And no, the sender can transfer the money again without any further issues, if he just cancelled the first transaction, Kanokwan.

Can Wise card be used in Cambodia? Cambodia uses US$ as well as local currency RIEL, can I spend int both currencies there?
Yuthira, that depends on where your card was issued. If it was issued in the US, and you're a personal customer, then it won't work in Cambodia. However, if it's issued in another country then it should work fine. More info here: wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard
Also, we offer USD balance but as we don't offer KHR balance at the moment - we'll have to convert the money if merchant doesn't support the currency you have in your balance.
But you don't need to worry - Wise has this Smart Conversion technology that'll automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee: wi.se/smartconversiontech Meaning, if you don’t have the currency you need in your account, you can still spend money with your card as long as the merchant you're paying to, allows it.
If anything remains unclear, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Alternatively, you can email/call us using this link: wi.se/contactus 🙂
@@Wise Thank you. Looks like I will be able to use Wise card in Cambodia using US$.

Hi , i am living in kuwait and want to open wise account for Amazon drop shipping. Will it work ? As i will be receiving money in wise account.
Hey, Farhan.
If you're looking to open an account with us to receive money from Amazon drop-shipping, you'll need to open a business account. Since it against our terms of use policy to use a personal account for receiving payments in return for business activities. For more info on this, check here: wi.se/customeragreement.
However, at the moment, we're currently not onboarding new business customers whose business are registered in Kuwait, and we don't have an ETA on when this will be available to you.
Should have any further questions on this, send us a DM on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter (X).

hello, I'm an affiliate marketer with lead leaps. lead leaps suggest that 2 payment methods. the first one was PayPal the second was Wise. lead leaps to pay through these two companies. I don't have a PayPal account and I just set up my wise account, but I partially. I'm stuck about the part when they say wise(transferwise) email. I don't have their email and i want to use my own bank account with Lead Leap to send my payment to me without wise. what should I do in this matter???
So, when you register up for Wise we have the feature where they can find you just by your registered email. For that you have to have balances open. More about money to email: wi.se/money2email Then that money would reach your Wise account, and later you can withdraw it to whichever account you wish, in any of our supported currencies. More about Wise account here: wi.se/wiseaccountfaq Or if Leads Leap is using Wise to send you money, maybe they just want your email so you could enter your local bank details - this still fits the money to email I shared before.
If you have any other questions feel free to send us a private message to us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Or just email/call us: wi.se/contactus

Do I need to pay taxes to receive USD?
Hey, Claudio! Wise may have to levy tax on its transfer fee according to local tax laws. Where transactional taxes apply, these will either be included in the fee payable or shown separately at the time of payment, and won’t impact the amount sent to the recipient.
We will pay out the agreed amount and won’t withhold any taxes on money you receive. Depending on the nature of a transfer, you and/or the recipient may need to declare and pay tax. Can you Add Sri Lanka also to your country list.
Hey there. We are happy to see you're interested in getting started with our platform.
And you're already able to open an account with us if you're situated in Sri Lanka: wi.se/openwise - and send and receive payments internationally via our platform using SWIFT as the payment method: wi.se/swiftpayments
Having said that, not all of our platform's services are available in Sri Lanka just yet. You can for example not yet access our balances feature: wi.se/balanceavailability - nor will you be able to order our debit card: wi.se/cardavailability
Nevertheless, we're always aiming to expand our platform's services to new and current countries and regions. And if any notable developments were to occur, then we'd announce those via our relevant outlets.
We hope this helps, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. It'd be our pleasure to provide you with further assistance, naturally.

Hi i am from the Philippines. I just created my wise account. My client tried to send me a money/payment but it wont go through.
When I checked my wise app, I am getting this message: AS YOU'RE IN THE PHILIPPINES, YOU CAN ONLY USE YOUR ACCOUNT TO SEND MONEY.
BUT WE'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN YOU CAN DO MORE - LIKE RECEIVE MONEY OR GET A CARD.
Does this mean I cannot receive the money at this point in time? I tried sending an email but it will take a while for you to respond. I need immediate help on this please.
Hey, Rose. You're right - You can't receive money currently if you're in the Philippines. This is because our Balances feature isn't available there at the moment. We're working hard on bringing this back, and will let you know once we have news to share.
@@Wise I'm not sure if I am understanding this right because I emailed your support and they checked my account. They confirmed that my account can receive money from the sender. Now, I'm confused. 🥴
