I only ever had Goodtime banjos and I never got too far with playing them before life really got in the way. Now at 36, I am contemplating starting again. I always wanted the Clawgrass but as a beginner, I couldn't justify it. This is exactly what I am looking for and this would be something I would keep forever. Now to just pull the trigger and get back to playing again!
I just purchased this banjo. i have had multiple banjo's (customs, Deering, Pisgah, Gold Tone) and the Deering Vega Vintage Star was my favorite as an all around banjo but after playing this banjo i am so impressed with the clawgrass2, its beautiful, easy to play, and sounds so good! as a newer player i just wish i could do it justice like Jens Kruger does. LOL
Jens could put some yarn across a water bottle and make it sound incredible...but what a killer banjo! I'm planning on getting a Sierra sometime this summer (once the inventory gets built back up after the Coronavirus), with the same tone ring, but a mahogany neck for a slightly warmer sound! This was total ear candy, Deering; thanks for making good stuff!
@@DeeringBanjoCo I ordered it through banjo.com a couple weeks ago! Super pumped. Is your factory up and running? They said they were a few weeks behind because of the virus.
@@BanjosNerdOn Hi! Oh that's a great choice of dealer, too. Yes, we are back up and running, although, after 2 months of not building, we do have some catching up to do. Barry will take care of you, that is for sure. We appreciate your patience.
What an amazing sound! Thanks so much for posting this.
Jens Kruger and Mark Johnson really know how to make that instrument sing!

Although l love the medium-mellow sound of my whyte laydie tonering, i miss sustain from off the 7ht fret and higher.
Whoa, that sounds might fine.
Thank you! We are glad you like it. 😁
What is the name of the intro song your playing please, and the key? Thanks.
It sounds great! But it doesn't sound 4900 dollars worth of great.
