- What is the best frog lure for Bass fishing? I'm not sure if there is an absolute BEST frog. I guess it would be whichever frog lure works best that day, on that specific lake, and that you have the most confidence in. There are many variations of frog lures... hollow body frogs, solid/soft plastic frogs, frogs with legs, frogs with skirts, popping frog, walking frogs... The list goes on and on. In this video, we highlight a few of my favorite frogs. This day was definitely not ideal conditions for frog fishing, but that's what we set out to do. So, we stuck with it. Chuck its always good to see even pros make rookie mistakes like I do. I have had the most luck with the Spro Bronzeye frog and several of the soft bodied toads. A great video as always.

You’re right on point, it’s the conditions, lake and confidence level of frogs. ’ve smoked my buddies using a horny toad, pad crasher, or the ones with the paddle tails, with a live target. And other days I can’t buy a bite and they are getting bit like they are fishing with dynamite

Tiger lake last week.3 on horny toad... missed 4 or 5. But then I put on bluegill chatterbait with junebug speed trailer.... Jon cox it with 3 7pnders.

That’s a difficult question to answer. I like spring to early summer, but you can hit good days just about any time of the year.
Love it. Chuck..so hard for to put down the hornytoad. Just have to get the softer ones. Some of them are hard to get the hook through
