I love the red bridge sketch! A few bold lines suggesting the rocks, contrasted with the painted sections is just perfect. Congratulations to you both! 🎉😊
So pleased that you had a wonderful honeymoon, Japan looks so beautiful and your colour palette and sketches are just lovely🌸 I’m really looking forward to Japan month and seeing some of your photos and art goodies😍 Thank you for sharing Katie🙏🏼
Thank you so much!! So pleased you like the art too, I've loved using those colours especially! So glad you're looking forward to Japan month too, I'm excited to get back into it! 🥰
This was just wonderful to see Katie, thank you for sharing. I love how you put the buildings in and you just simplified everything. It’s so beautiful love that color palette and can’t wait for the May Patreon session :-)
So fun seeing how you create on location, it’s so inspiring and makes me want to draw 😄 Hope your trip was amazing, I definitely want to go there someday. Really loved both the spreads you showed, the pops of red in both pieces looked really good. Definitely think the red works great with your usual color palette 😊 Can’t wait to see what supplies you bought on your trip 😄💖
Thank you so much 🥰 So glad it's inspired you!! I highly recommend visiting if you can one day, it really is such a beautiful country. I'm surprised with the red too, definitely something I want to combine into my art more! Thanks for watching and your lovely comment 💛
Wow, you had such a peaceful trip I'm finding the crowds here in Tokyo overwhelming and can't even imagine what Kyoto is like! Great that you got some sketching time in.
I found the crowds in Tokyo much worse than Kyoto! I think maybe because most of our Kyoto trip was spent in shrines and gardens, so we were in nature a lot more. I did find escaping into the gardens in Tokyo was much needed relief though!!
I got so excited when you said next month is Japan month in Patreon Katie! 😍 Was fab to see the work you created while away too, I look forward to the flip through! 😎
So beautiful to watch this mix of vlog-plein air drawing Katie 💕 Japan must be really amazing! And I think we are all looking forward to watch your art supplies video next week 🤭
Oooh the scenery is soo gorgeous! ❤ No wonder you got inspired to create such lovely art! So glad you had an amazing time. ❤ Japan seems like a truly magnificent place! I hope to go one day 😊
This was a fun adventure! And as always, I love your work! A question on that bright green brush pen.. is it a Tombow Chartreuse color? It's always my favorite green you use!
Thank you!! 🥰🥰 It's the Tombow shade 126 - definitely my most used shade!! It looks a bit brighter here in the sun than it is in real life so if you love a more vibrant green then you'd like the 133 too! 🤗
This was so fun to watch! I loved seeing you paint in Japan and all the snippets of your travels too 🇯🇵😍
Thank you so much Emma! 🥰 Feels like a lifetime ago already 🤣
This looks incredible, thank you for taking us with you on your adventure ☺☺
