Way funnier than SNL ever was
This and MAD TV are still way funnier than anything on SNL
Good to see some 2020 comments here glad to know I’m not the only one😂
In Living Color >>>>>>>>>> SNL. Snl can keep adding their new seasons and re-apply in their fight against In Living Color every year. They will fail miserably for the rest of eternity.
cap. CAP
Meh. I love both.
This is so old, jim carrey was called JAMES Carrey hahahahahaha. I f-ing love it. haha
Nota Animal I know right I was confused for a second hahahah
@Charlie Harper relax its not that deep lol
I think he prefers to be called Dr.Robotnik
Fire Marshall Bill
The Grinch
This is one of the greatest theme songs in television history.
I had a crush on T'Keyah Crystal Keymàh
Bee Jay Me too
this was good but season 3's the was better
Bee Jay Agreed. This shit just starteded playing in my head as I tried to nod off to sleep a few minutes;*had* to get busy on YT.
Pretty bad ass intro looking back , grand opening of the 90's...
RIP Heavy D
Words cannot express how important this show and video were for America.
This and Arsenio Hall
The world bro. Watched it back in day in Ireland. Love this show.
When Jim Carrey went by James
He was funnier as James
_The shows you felt you weren't supposed to be watching as a kid._
Haha I remember they started reairing In Living Color in the late 90s or early 2000s and I got it mixed up with Living Single. I told my mom we use to watch that (Thinking living single)...But it was in living color and she was like "I HAVE NEVER LET YALL WATCH THAT" lol.
Can we talk about how Kim Wayans ATE THAT BODYSUIT WHOLEE 🤩😍
She did indeed... filled that thing out QUITE nicely!
The Fly Girl in the red pants is the one that absolutely does it for me...
I miss the early 90s so much. The tv shows were such quality. In Living Color, Married With Children, Family Matters, Fresh Prince, Martin, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper.
Debuted April 15, 1990. I'll never forget when this first aired on WNYW-TV Fox 5.
RIP Heavy D...True Pioneer...GO see Tower Heist with Eddie Murphy, Heavy D has a brief cameo!
He was also in Life
@aquiringmind And a nasty episode of TALES FROM THE CRYPT called ON A DEAD MAN'S CHEST. He was the one-eyed tattoo artist.
Everyone on this show was hilarious. better than snl in my opinion
Jack Sparrow I agree.
Not even close
Which cast?
Depends on which era of SNL.
This is the most 90's intro I have ever seen.
Didn't come here from no bruno mars, I grew up on this show. My childhood brought me here.
“And how would you feel knowing prejudice was obsolete/ And all mankind danced to the exact beat/ And at night it was safe to walk down the street?” Come back, In Living Color. We need you.
Yeah it was a good idea too more hip or w.e lol
Lmfao this was never a time. Definitely not in America.
@@k1ng0fswa9 you must be young
Favorite part of the whole song. These lyrics make me miss the hopeful optimism of the 90s. Keep your head up yall.
@@1stwonder788 No, he's just an IDIOT or a racist himself. Ignorant bastard.
...This theme song, and "Martins" , are the greatest Sitcom Theme Songs ever !!! 90's had that Bounce Boii, from the M.C.'s to the mixers !! Shit, had everybody in front of the TV jumpin
GOAT theme song
As a kid, I never paid attention to the theme song. I just thought it had lyrics to a dope beat. Yeah it's a very dope beat but these lyrics are very impactful. This has to be the best theme song ever.
This show started my freshman year in high school & ended my senior year in high school.
1990-1994! Those were the days!
Middle school for me.
koolbreez9865 good period
koolbreez9865 yeah the early 90s!!!
Middle school for me too lol
same years for me;
revisiting some New Jack Swing roots
This theme song is so underrrated
The orchestral stabs in this song always give me chills.
thenamestheygivearedumb took the words out my mouth- hit hard in the subconscious, golden age of sample based hip hop
To think of all the big names that came off this show, like Kim Coffield, T'keyah "Crystal" Keyman, Kim Wayans, and Kim Coles. That really is amazing.
Clutch Cargo Uhh... Jim Carey, Damon wayans, Jamie fox, david alan Grier? Forgot to mention much huh... but if that was a women list then w/e
Xilo Channel Way to pick up on sarcasm.
Clutch Cargo I c what you did there.. +1
Xilo Channel Yes, I listed all the people who didn't get big from the show. It can be difficult to detect sarcasm just from reading a comment, I get that.
+Clutch Cargo And J-Lo and Carrie Ann Inaba (two of the Fly Girls).
This show was so edgy, fresh, and hilarious.
Who is here because they grew up watching this show......ME!
Me
Hear, hear!
Me too
Brings me back to when I was young.. I’m almost 41 so along time ago
Ditto.
Perfect theme, perfect cast, perfect aesthetic, perfect comedy, perfect show. Glad to have been raised on this grail of a show.

Heavy D killed this track. Proud to grow up in the 90's. Since: 1983
My parents would watch this. I did too. Man the 90s were the bom! Bring back the 90s!!
Move on please.
YOUR parents?? Ouch.. Make me feel old. :/
Dead Channel R.I.P stfu
ALL the years after the 1800's is shit! I want the years of cavemen chanting and cooking with a fire and fighting off dinosaurs back!
Aaron Cragentic okay go back in time then
Heavy D is missed (and we need what he had nowadays!)
Every Sunday night! Loved loved loved In Living Color! RIP Heavy D!
8pm... channel 11..in Cali! lol
One of the most 90’s things to ever exist
RIP Heavy!
Eddie Alvarez ahhh I knew someone was going to say that but you right rip Heavy D
I like how JAMES CAREY 🤣 gives props to the show. When no one else believed in his work they did and Jim Carey is one of the best actors on earth. Back in the dsy dude was hilarious
now he’s a loo-se-her 🤨🙄
@@clarencejones7916 he’s not lmao
I've never been a fan of his.
He was great as Dr Robotnik. He's still got some talent left in him. He's retiring from movies though. Probably rich AF. He was getting top dollar in the 90s.
Well done Heavy D for remaining intelligent.
This make me missed the good old days that I never had...
This theme rocks so hard!
This theme rocks so hard
This theme rocks so hard
Agreed! The Season 3 theme sucks as bad as Louis Braille's accident!
This intro made me tear-up. Those were good times. Wow. Wish I could of hit the pause button.
RIP HEAVY D
IMO In Living Color is one of the best Sketch comedy shows of not only the 90s but still today, I never really was a Saturday Night Live fan, In living Color was my show. I loved how this series strove to produce comedy with a strong emphasis on modern black subject matter. It also helped launch the careers of previously unknown actor/comedians who would elevate to A-B list stars such as Jim Carrey, oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Damon Wayans, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, grammy winner Jennifer Lopez. The series won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series in 1990. My fav characters from In Living Color is Fire Marshal Bill Burns, Homey D. Clown, and Carl "The Tooth" Williams they ewere absolutely hilarious.
SOID DRONE SLAYER Agreed. In Living Color was way funnier then SNL because it was braver at its comedy. SNL had to follow a lot of rules.
@@EZRDEN in Living Color was a very significant show
With all the madness going on I had to go back to the 90s to get that happy feeling.
🗣💯✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾❤️🔥
Hands down the best sketch comedy show of all time SNL didnt have nothing on this show. ILC really went there with alot of topics even SNL was scared to touch.
The 90s was definitely a unique era.
MOST DEFINITELY.....😁 Watching this show in the late 80's was SUPER DOPE and funny ass hell.
This song came on, my mom was strong standing TIME FOR BED!
Heavy D also did the theme song to Mad TV.
He never got his proppers for being a talented dancer, rapper & actor. May God rest his soul.6-25-20 im saving all tv show theme songs
Bruno Mars brought me back here. 😆😄
mayaloves7 Me too. So many memories.

20 yrs old.and as a 1997 baby I can say i officially have an old school mind in a new school body.i wish i was back in this time when it was safe to be outside.no matter what ima appreciate old school more#fashion designer to be
This was THE baddest ass show on TV!!!! They had SO MUCH talent going for them!!! In Living Color rocked the house time and time again!!!! I'll tell you what ... TV shows today can't hold a candle to the bright sun that was IN LIVING COLOR.
Love 💘 watch ⌚ this on weekends 😍 early 90's around New Jack city.. them days🤔🥰
Season 1 was the best out of them all, it even had the better theme song
These titles are so great! Klasky-Csupo (the Rugrats people) animated them. This style is very much back in motion graphics
Bárbara Astrini Oh, so that's why the animation looks so familiar!
They do lol😂😂
that's so cool!
Whooaaa..for real?! Those guys are freakin gods, then! 😆😆
It’s a sin how many times I done replayed this 😅 them lyrics I never paid attention too until now!!! 80’s baby 90’s kid ♥️
love this SHOW and the theme song
Now this gets more views because of Bruno mars 😍❤️❤️
I'm starting to think that he may have been a fan of this show.
BloodEdge 765 of course he was. He loves everything hip hop and urban from the 90’s
Even though I was born in the 2000's I still like this show
this is my fav tv show all time in the 90s im big fan now
Kim Coles went from In Living Color to Living Single
When the people from the Cardi B and Bruno video don't realize this was a sketch comedy show.
I know right!!!
Bruno Mars and Cardi B brought me here
Bruno mars did not bring me here.... growing up in the 90s did
Damn, this is drippin' in finesse.
And it don't make no sense. XD
Back when Jim Carrey’s name was James Carrey. Oh the memories
Just hearing the song let alone seeing the intro just brings back great childhood memories. Going to school the next day n talking about our favorite skits
Big thank you to my parents for
turning me onto this show growing up.
I’m sitting here in tears.
I wish I was alive when this was on the air.
It made so many stars:
The Wayans family,
Jim Carrey,
Kim Coles,
David Alan Grier,
Tommy Davidson,
T’Keyah Crystal Keymah,
Kelly Coffield,
Jamie Foxx,
Carrie Ann Inaba,
Jennifer Lopez,
and many other great stars.
We’ll never see great comedic shows
like this ever again.
So glad my dad showed me his show!! I literally come back to watch this like every day🫶🏾
Uncle Heavy these lyrics have inspired me since day 1…I will play this for my children 💫💫💫 both versions are very deep and still relevant
I use to get so hyped when this theme song came on! My childhood was GREAT!!
I love this song and it would be awesome if they brought this show back
I was thinking the same thing 💭
better than any mumble rap from today
i miss 90s
Yes lord 90s was poppin
Yea what the fuck happend to this earth
@@Jordy-wx3hd technology took over
yes technology and corp GREED sad to type. thank you youtube. You're our time Machine ! ! ! ! !
My grandmother used to play this for me and my little sister when we will spend the night I love this show! ❤️even though it was a little bit before my time it's still a big part of my childhood 90s baby!
I was born 1980 but you made me feel old when you said “grandmother” 😂😂😂
A whole vibe...aye...90s baby here...
the song of my childhood
Great show and theme song 😁
wow its trending after 6 years coz of Bruno mars and Cardi
One of the greatest theme songs ever season one and two bomb
You're *too* young if Bruno Mars and Cardi B had to bring you here
I remember how cool it was watching this on Sunday nights along with Get a Life and Married with Children
THEME FROM "IN LIVING COLOR"
by Heavy D and the Boyz
(Chorus)
You can do what you want to do
In Living Color
(You know what I'm sayin'?)
You can do what you want to do
In Living Color
You,
could walk on the moon, and float like a balloon
Y'see it's never too late, and it's never too soon
Take it from me it's a'ight to be
(In Living Color)
And how would you feel knowing predjudice was obsolete,
and all mankind danced to the 'xact beat,
and at night it was safe to walk down the street?
(In Living Color)
(Chorus)
Everybody here is equally kind
(In Living Color)
What's mine is yours, and what's yours is mine.
(In Living Color)
And how would you feel knowing everybody was your friend
From thin to thick, and through thick and thin
and egotistical trips were put to an end?
(In Living Color)
(Chorus)
You,
could walk on the moon, and float like a balloon
Y'see it's never too late, and it's never too soon
Take it from me it's a'ight to be
(In Living Color)
And how would you feel knowing predjudice was obsolete,
and all mankind danced to the 'xact beat,
and at night it was safe to walk down the street?
(In Living Color)
You can do what you want to do
In Living Color.
@Aaliyah Gill, MSW "Ladies and gentlemen, Keenen Ivory Wayans!"
I liked the sequence that ended with a segue to a set built to resemble the rooftop of an apartment building, where the series' dancers performance a routine and opened a door let Keenen Ivory Wayans greet a live audience, in the first two seasons (1990-1991).
So I'm a 2000 baby and my step dad at the time had like all the seasons on CD and I would watch these episodes when I was like 4 😅😂 this brings back some memories lol
Nostalgia
I wish they were still playing in living color, this show is way too epic, also they should have continued it and it should have stayed on longer than it did. Miss watching this I do
this theme was awesome.
And so begins the successful careers of the Wayans family.
They dont make great comedy like this nowadays. Its a damn shame.
Who else is here cause of the finesse music video ?
Laura Rodriguez me
Me
I'm here because of Beyonce's Formation!
I’m here because I actually watch the show
No
It’s insane to think of all the big names that stared on this show: The Wayans Brothers, Jim Carry, Jamie Foxx, JLo, Tommy Davidson, DAG (David Allen Grier). Wow!
I like this theme song the best because of how they all painting the tv screen in their own ways.
The fly girls really got down.
This that NEW JACK SWANG sheit!
I wish it would come back, but slightly modernized (not too much though, swingbeats and boom bap are godly)
I never knew until JUST NOW that Heavy D did this, and it's completely obvious now that I hear it. Even the beat sounds like him.
This show did more to unite people than divide. Not like these days. Keenan once said in an interview that he was out to offend everyone equally! brilliant.
GREAT SONG GREAT SHOW
Get ready for the comments section and likes to blow up, thanks to Bruno and Cardi :')
Great news guys In Living Color is being reruned on FXX every Tuesday and Thursday :D
I'm glad I lived it. Bruno thanks for showing the newer generation what they are missing.
When you heard this on TV you knew a good episode was coming!!!!! I miss being a kid watching this with my Mother & family! Loved the fly girls!
You also knew it was time for bed lol
I love how bruno mars and cardi brought this back😭🔥😍
1:20 Man Bruno really got the set right to a T
Watching this show as a kid I had no idea how many of the cast would become legendary comedians and actors
Nothing but LEGENDS
