blue one is a turbo (i love that color) white is a gt3 (u can tell easily by the center exhausts) u can most 911 apart by there wing (because usually u will only see the back) and a turbocharged one by the side intake vents

Stock 997 Turbo has 480 bhp ,not 550. That E46 is a Horsepowerfreaks Stage 3 so a car similar to it would be a Gembala 650 Evo or a Ruf CTR woch of course would eat the M3 ;)

Most fast cars nowadays are limited to 155mph yet if you actually tried to reach the limiter in some cases the car will pass it (same principle applies).
I know the Porsche Turbo stock, is faster than the M3 stock, but damn I love BMW. Also, can't wait to see the new E92 M3, should give Porsche Turbo a run for it's money.
Serious bud i can't be assed arguing with you. The actual BHP of a 997 Turbo is uncertain and has a lot of speculation surrounding it. The 997 is the latest model of the 911 Turbo and according to wikipedia the 911 turbo can be anything over 500 standard. You can have two identical cars with the same engines but it doesn't mean they will be the same.

i think the e46 m3 is one of the hottest cars on the outside AND inside (engine wise and whatnot). the newer ones just dont have the curves this one has.

actually not anymore, they've spent so long developing the chassis that there brilliant round corners. the m3 is quick round them but not as quick as the 911
Porsche designers aren't lazy they make all of there models based on a 911 wich is good becaus that's what most of the people love ! do you realy think that is't 1 designer working on the car? there are 100's of people trying to make it as good as it gets and i think they do that verry good .
@cyberslick18 Good tires won't matter, it's about weight distribution. It could hit 200+ with a low gearing, but it wont do it in a mile, not when you have to baby the throttle for a 1/10 or more of a mile. For the 200+ club you have to be able to launch the car too. It's really hard for a rwd, especially an IRS / 50-50 weight car to do well out there, hence why most are heavy AWD exotics. My vette got to 165 with nittos and that was enough for me hah.
@cyberslick18 yea true BUT with good tires etc etc the M3 could still hold its own at the texas mile like the stage 4 HPF M3 and TazaM3 i mean if we put a 2.93 rear end in the M3 im sure it could get over 200 ;)

In some ways you are correct...but BMW is still a very well put together car...it is not a Honda! but without that turbo kit, it doesn't stand a chance...that Porsche was stock (at least it looked like it)...and you are comparing a $45k car (brand new) to a car worth over 6 figs....so there are going to be a lot of things that are made of higher quality (at least I would hope so)
Look at all of the power you can extract from an M3. Sure the cars aren't fairly compared,and I'm sure Porsches could be tuned to shit too, but it's a prime example of what you could get out of an M3!

the guy in the porsche turbo should have set the pace at 40mph in 2nd gear. The porsche turbo does 40-60mph in 1 sec!!!!! I don't know what the HPF stage 3 but the trubo is quick

I was looking at the KBB Value of a 2006 BMW, the MSRP is $48-56K put 26K on top of that and your still just getting up to a 911 price.
