    Nice review with actual test and not just unboxing. Most important the focus distance while working.

  • @oldasa
    @oldasa 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Don't forget the focal plane adjustment. Though the black lens connector permits the rotation of the lens up and out of the way the black connector also allows the sliding backward and forward to change the distance of the lens to and from the eye to change the focal length. In other words this is the focal plane adjustment. The action is a little stiff so remove the lens to allow a more firm grip on the black connector, when sliding it backwards or forward, It makes a ratcheting sound as it slides.

    Okay, so, today I received my magnipros led-illuminated magnifier head visors and I paid $15.95 for them.
    I had already decided in my mind that when I got them, they would probably be cheaply made and that I wouldn't like them and that I would probably just give them away to someone else but pleasantly to my surprise, they were the total opposites.
    They are very well made and the lenses are of high quality whatever the material is!
    As a matter of fact, I like them so much that I am about to order another pair just to have on hand just in case something happens to the ones that I just purchasedperiod Yes, this product is well worth the money!
    I highly recommend these for people who do tedious work, whether it be with art, electronics or anything that requires perfect vision.
    I am a barber and every now and then I will get a tiny peace of hair under my fingernail which somehow gets under the nailbed and it can be very painful but thanks to the magnifier, I am able to properly utilize my needlepoint tweezers and see with Eagle Eye precision, exactly where the hair is under the fingernail nailbed thanks to this product
    They are well worth the money!
    I love em!

    I have these. Got them after I spent 60$ on a mediocre digital microscope camera thing for soldering. Wish I would have gotten these first. Can't say enough good about them. I gave the microscope to my kids & told them not to touch these lol 😁
    There are maybe 20 brands out that look the same...they are ... so just buy the cheapest ones (mine were 10$ on Amazon with prime free delivery in 2 days).
    Thanks for the video

      I still have them but my wife appropriated them for her sewing projects so I purchased a new but different set in 2020 for myself. Here is the link :www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PZ6BB9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 I got them because they use a lighter rechargeable battery instead of two AAA batteries. I did not post a review of them but I use them almost daily. You can use both of them with or without glasses or at least I have. My wife still uses the ones I reviewed. They have help up well. Thanks for asking

    There's a "Fancii" branded version on Amazon which costs about 4 times more (AUD$88+ ~ USD$63). They use identical photos as the cheaper ones, and the only difference I can see is that they claim 'optical grade' lenses. How have you found the quality of the lenses? Do they scratch easily? (2 years on)

    Very important question!!! What distance as in How far are u required to keep the object u r viewing from the magnifying lens. Do u have to bring it right up to your face?

    • @dennisnashville7114
      @dennisnashville7114 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at 5:18 for focus length on the strongest lens. The weaker lenses will be a little farther away. Hope that helps.

    I bought these and they have been brilliant. But just today they started to flicker. So replaced the batteries, and they still flickered! Tried a different brand of batteries and they flickered. Can they be repaired, or should I just buy another pair? I have scoured the internet and no one has any advice, so thought I'd ask. No worries if you don't know. Thanks!

    • @harrysstuff-n-such2062
      @harrysstuff-n-such2062  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, don't know that answer. Probably loose wiring that is causing the flicker. Unless they are still under warranty, myself, I would disassembly to check for loose wire and if so, re-solder or replace wiring ( of course I'd need another pair of magnifying eyeglasses to see what the heck I'm doing...:) ). If you are not comfortable doing such, it is not worth the cost of repair to take them to a fixit shop. If they are still under warranty, I'd contact the manufacture and see if they will repair/replace.

    Harry, How is this product holding up since your initial reivew? i am looking at purchasing these to help me with some PCB soldering work. How has the nose piece worked out? Is it comfortable after some time using it?

    • @harrysstuff-n-such2062
      @harrysstuff-n-such2062  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They are holding up well. My old eyes need all the help they can get. They have worked really well when soldering and on other close up work. I mostly use them with the included strap instead of the ear pieces. The strap keeps them from sliding down my nose. Using them for extended periods has not been an issue. For me, they are fairly comfortable without any annoying nose pinch. Also the light has come in handy. Thanks for the comment and I hope this helps...

      Did you buy them? I got earlier other style glases - with two separate binoculars and they was useless on PCB type work (I was using them to crimp 1.25mm JST connrctors) - cant see object from both oculars at same time due construction & focal. I'm considering other model with a band around head, constrruction is bit similar. Any adice, please?

    The bracket that holds the lenses is supposed to adjust backward and forward for different focal lengths. I can't get mine to move. Wazupwidat?

    • @harrysstuff-n-such2062
      @harrysstuff-n-such2062  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the lens mount to move the lens out of my line of sight when I don't need magnifying and then back down when I do need it. That way I don't need to keep taking the glasses on and off when I'm using them. My lens mount moves just fine. If yours is not moving, I'd return the glasses and try another pair.

    • @oldasa
      @oldasa 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@harrysstuff-n-such2062 Harry, Harry, Harry. It's not the rotation out of the way but rather the forward and backward of the lens to and from your eyes(focal plane). Good news! I found that by firmly grasping black lens connector (note; the lens not attached) I can move the black connector closer and farther from the eyes. It makes a rachet sound when it moves back and forth.
