How many miles did it end up dying? I've had mine for over 9 years, 0 issues *knock on wood* Mine is now at 145k. Lightly modded. OBX headers, intake, Borla exhaust. I've always kept up with my maintenence and do my oil changes at 3k, regardless. I had it walnut blasted at 100k to clean the carbon out, went ahead and replaced the injectors, and flushed radiator. Did rhe plugs and coil packs of course also. She's been real good to me and I do beat on it a lot. I want to supercharge it , but I'd have to get motor built 1st, and that seems to be pretty pricey. Just decided to get a Elantra N and ill get back to that supercharger for my Genesis later. Good luck
i’m usually really good on maintenance as well. 1st engine 96k, 2nd engine 90k. the first time it happened i was causally driving on the highway i have no idea how it happened. 2nd time it was low on oil. the baffled oil pan seems really good since i put it on the new engine, i suggest getting one.

@outsidedy Well, unfortunately you don't know how bad the engine was treated before you got it. Good luck
