i cant imagine how hard it is for you being a hairdresser and how much love you have for your hair and hair in general. that being said you are so stunning regardless of hair and children are blessings worth the sacrifices
Girl nobody talks about this part from pregnancy. I’m going through it now and I’m so depressed from the baby weight the balding, the stretch marks. Bringing a child into this world is not easy. I love your positivity
I lost my hair on all 3 of my babies too. It was around my hair line but it was all over just thinner. I really noticed when I wore it in a pony. Then years after having my last baby i lost loads of hair again because I had basically no b12. I had to have injections and it's starting to grow back and its growing straight up off my head. It looks crazy 🤣 I would definitely get your bloods done just to be on the safe side, having babies can really take a roll on our bodies especially two under 2 ❤️
Great video! If you haven’t done so already, get your thyroid checked! Postpartum thyroiditis is very common too, and hypothyroidism can cause significant hair loss. Ask for TSH, free T4, and free T3 screenings. I have JAT (juvenile autoimmune thyroiditis) and I frequently get bouts of extreme shedding. It was really bad after my son was born (thyroid & hair, plus I was really anemic).
Thank you for sharing this in such a candid way! While I didn't personally experience a lot of shedding, so many of my friends and family members either did or currently are. I think this video will be great to send to encourage them so they know that it's common, temporary, and not as big a deal as they immediately think it is while they are going through it, so they should keep looking at the bigger picture. You and your kidlets are so cute together! 😍 So refreshing to see a mom actually spending time with her kids rather than treating them as life accessories. Have a great weekend!
The more I learn about all the changes your body goes through during and post-pregnancy, the better I feel about not having had kids. Those of you that take on the challenge are Super-Women in my book! Women's bodies are amazing and literally perform miracles! ❤
I’m happy I have kids I always wanted kids. I also wish I had more hair. I think if you’re leaning towards not having them, everything will confirm that cause there’s so much. you can only understand the joy once you have a kid of your own that brings you joy lol
Postpartum is literally no joke. After my second child (a girl), my hair was SO matted, crinkly, and stringy looking. I hated touching my hair too because a clump of hair was always coming out. My skin was full of cystic acne to the point that I looked like I had a bruised and busted lip. I had to go on Accutane for 7 months. While my skin was saved after that, my hair didn’t go back to normal until I conceived my third child (a boy) two years later. Now with my oldest (a girl), I had zero issues. LOL pregnancy is so crazy. Buttttttt, I love that you have your kids in your videos. 🥰
I’m loving the energy of these new videos with the babies. Watching Gia’s antics is cracking me up 😹 and sweet Noelle (sorry if I spelled that wrong!) just gaze into the camera melts my heart lol. I’ve been thinking about having babies soon, so all these topics are really good for me to be learning about! Thank you for sharing your insights and experience with us here, Brittney! 💞🦋🌊☀️

This Brittney is my speed 😂 lmfao I love these new videos, you seem so much more confident and intentional. There's not as much "umm" "uhhh" stuttering and repeating yourself. You got something to say and your telling your stories very smoothly! 🖤🖤🖤 This next life step suits you so freaking well!! 🔥🥰🖤 You've matured and grown beautifully 😍
Thank you so much for this video. I had my son 8 and a half months ago, and at about 4 months, my hair just started coming out in clumps every time I ran my fingers, and especially the brush through it! I didn't really experience the postpartum hair loss with my first two kiddos. But it's BAD this time, and I cry after almost every shower knowing when I brush my hair, more is going to come out. So thank you for talking about your journey and sharing. It's nice to know you aren't alone. The hair loss has really gotten to my self-esteem and made me very depressed. My hair is so fine now.
@@tania0428 I had hair loss for about a year and my hair is just now getting back to a healthier length and just being healthy in general. I actually have two bald spots tho near the front of my hairline like Brittney, but that could be postpartum related as well
😩😩😩😩😩 I went through it too!!! I’ve ALWAYS had edges but not after my 2nd daughter, Chile, I eventually woke up bald around my edges 😩. With my first baby, I had shedding but it was evenly distributed through my entire head. But this time, the universe said, “EDGES BE GONE!”
I'm here with you on our post partum hair loss journey for the THIRD time!! Fuuuuhhh it sucks, but it does always grow back eventually ♡ I remind myself that as I pull chucks out in the shower lol
I had the same issue after pregnancy. I went to the Dermatologist and my body was extremely low on iron. She gave me iron vitamins and hair grew back nice and fast. So after pregnancy, make sure ur iron is on check
I rinse my hair with black tea on wash day and that one incident cut down my shedding tremendously. I left my hair alone for a month and it seemed like it grew. I was amazed. Cause the way my hair was coming out in clumps I knew I was gone be bald headed 🤣
You are so awesome sharing this! You are gorgeous with or without a full head of hair. It will grow back soon. I know there are women that really appreciate you sharing your story. Your girls are so stinking adorable 🥰
The baby blues postpartum hair vitamins are amazing! Definitely think they helped from inside which is important too. Not sure if you've seen them but they taste really good too. Hightly recommend.
I have 4 kids and I experienced hair loss with all. My youngest is gonna be 4 next month and my hair is now feeling and looking better than it had in a long time. It sucks but it does take time.
Oh man, I'm so nervous for the shedding...I'm almost in my third trimester with my first baby. I already have fine hair 😬 just gotta keep taking the pre-natals I guess!!
Also massaging your scalp with hair oil helps. I've went through shedding from having kids, thinning from stress throughout the years and just from tight headbands and hair rubber bands smh but hair oils help out a lot
I cried when I saw this because i was so depressed about my hair falling out and I thought I did something really bad to my head. I tried so hard to get May hair back to a healthy state and my hair just kept coming out. Our hair looks/looked the same in the video. It took my doctors letting me know that I was having postpartum hair loss that I realized what was happening. I’m on my road to better vitamin in take and better diet
First of all I knew nothing about you having any kids!!!! Omg I watched you since I was in highschool! I am 28 now and I am at awe that you have babies nnooww!!!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕
I went thru the same hair loss at my temples after my second baby too. 4 words: Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I massaged a few drops on my baldspots daily and my hair grew back after a few months. I use the one by the brand DNA per a suggestion, but I'm sure other brands work as well. Hope this helps. All the best to you & your family♡♡♡♡.
Omg girl I’ve been wondering where you were so happy to see you again ! Girl this hair loss problem is REAL. I don’t have any kids but I’m experiencing hair loss it scares me that It will get worse ! I’ve been taking vitamins and doing what I Can too help it , I do feel like it stopped the shedding …I take multi vitamins , vitamin d3 (I think this is so important because we’re all lacking vitamin d especially if you’re from a place that’s cold) biotin , vitamin e, now I’m taking omega 3. I used to have coke bottle thick hair . I’ve been dealing with this since I was 18 I’m 34 now . I’ve lost 50 lbs too and still trying to lose more so I think that’s another factor . Many of my clients are having the same issue because of this stress especially ever since corona . Let’s just pray everyday for god to restore are hairs and activate the dead follicles . You still look BEAUTIFUL!
I have been watching your channel for years but I haven’t seen your videos recently. Your hair grew so much since the last time I watched, I hate the so much came out in the front. Cute babies 💕🥰.
When do you think it would be a “right” time to get the Japanese straightening treatment. I’m 6 months in and my postpartum hair is growing back and I’m happy it’s growing thicker. But I wanna be sure it healthy and all
It would be such an awesome video how to style thinning hair (especially receding or crown thinning where clip ins are limited options?). I was just stealing a look from a couple videos back because your classic beauty but laid back vibe always inspires me. Awesome video as always and thanks for sharing a hard story with knowledge and humor with kind and inspiring words for yourself and mothers going through the same.
Oh my goodness girl it's been forever since I've seen you! You may be losing your hair and whatnot but girl! You are still as beautiful as ever! Love seeing you interact with ur precious babies! I started losing my hair but my kids are adults now lol! So I'm using ACV and rosemary to wash my hair. I noticed when i brush my hair less hair falls out. So hopefully this will prove to be effective long term. In case ur curious i boil 2 cups of filtered water with 2 tbsp of rosemary...fresh or dry it doesn't matter. Once it boils turn off and let it cool. Once cool add 2 tbsp of ACV. I put that into 2 empty water bottles to an even amount then i cont'd to fill up the bottles with filtered water. I love the smell! You would think it'd stink because of the ACV but it doesn't! I burned a fork and used the tips to make holes on the lid. I squeeze that stuff onto my roots and length when i shower and wash my hair. So i have eliminated the use of shampoo. I do use conditioner for the length when needed though. I just started so i can't tell u whether my hair has grown out yet on the thinning area...the crown of my head. But i can tell u that when i brush less hair comes off my head. Toe that's a win already. Anyway, love u and ur babies! So happy to see u back. ❤️
Had PP shedding all 3 pregnancies. I always used my prenatals because i breastfed. Still ended up looking like cynthia from rugrats. But it always grows back. Im 4 months pp and my temples are bald rn. I will say vitamin e oil helps with growing the sparse areas
I've definitely noticed clumps of hair coming out. I'm 4 months pp. I don't ever straighten my hair or wear it up. I have been taking my vitamins...I'm kind of shocked I have clumps coming out bc my hair did not grow during my pregnancy. I honestly thought it looked the best right after I gave birth....
Thanks for the video! So good to talk about this things, because it is unsettling, watching your hair shed like crazy, hairline thinning, so it's good to share and see other people going through the same thing. I didn't experience this post-partum, but for me it was after going off birth-control. It took me a while to put 2 and 2 together, and was getting really worried, as I started to loose all this hair for no apparent reason, but the timings you mentioned is totally what I experienced: About 4 months after going off birth control it really kicked in, and pretty much back to my normal full hair after a year. I somehow was totally unaware that the same thing could happen from going off birth control as with being post-partum, but of course it absolutely makes sense, as both is quite a shift in hormones!
My sister is dealing with this with her second child right now. Thank you for sharing I am sharing it with her. ❤️ High NRG baby girls! Gia is beautiful, my 15yo was like that. I put my baby girl in sports, swimming you may be able to start that now and she is a 10 year Spanish immersion student. Yes agree with you keep her busy. 😊 you and your babies are so beautiful. ❤️❤️
Thank you for this! Your hairline is similar to mine and the same thing happened to me each time I was pregnant. The hair always came back but never the same as it was before having children. Still wouldn’t change it for the world but good to know it happens to others too.
You look so beautiful!!💖 I pretty much lost all my hair after I had my daughter. It's been 5 years and it never grew back 😭 I tried everything. I'm saving money for hair plugs now. I miss my hair lol.
I thought I recognized you! I used to watch your videos yeaaars ago 💖 glad you’re back!! I’m a mommy now too so here u are again saving me letting me know I’m not balding alone lol 😆
Mine was so bad at 4.5 months post partum. I think low iron can cause more hair loss, so taking prenatals with iron is good advice. It’s better now, but I’m pregnant again. I’m liking the ordinary hair density serum, and just taking better care of my hair.
I'm also dealing with postpartum hair loss as well. Then I got covid six weeks postpartum which didn't help at all. So like a double whammy. I'm at a loss on how to stop it. I'm taking vitamins still and using hair products to help strengthen but still am losing so much hair. Sucks. 😔
This comment is so off-topic, but you were one of three TH-camrs I watched RELIGIOUSLY back in the day!! Like … I remember the no-mirror makeup challenge you did and lip-synched to “Conceited” by Remy Ma. Like, way back!! Congratulations on your two gorgeous babies! I feel like you’re an old friend 💕
I had a similar hair loss pattern. I went through this too. I didn't start postpartum shedding/hair loss until almost 1 year after my daughter was born, likely because I stayed on prenatal vitamins. I tried everything but unfortunately nothing worked. My daughter is now 8 years old and my hair finally started growing back in that spot a little over a year ago!!
Girl hold in there ! You got this and it happens. Just try to eat as healthy as possible, lots of fruits 🍎! And some supplements that might help are horsetail, nettle or saw palmetto! I have been using this for years and my hair grows like grass. The nettle can be consumed as a tea as well. Good luck girl !
@@fruitloopbabe91 to be honest I don’t know ! Lol but I think you should be fine because this supplement are 100% natural so I don’t see why not. They are just herbs 🌿 if anything it might help the baby and the breast feeding but again idk I’m not a doctor.
Your girls are so beautiful, Brittney! So sorry your postpartum hair loss is so drastic. It's always distressing to lose hair but I imagine as a hairstylist its even worse
thank u for this video! my hair shedding didn’t stop until i stopped breast feeding and i breast fed for almost 16 months. my son also had a habit of playing with my hair to fall asleep which i thought was so sweet until i saw all the broken hairs at the nape of my neck one day 😅 my hair is noticeably thinner now, honestly it does make me a bit self conscious. i tried clip ins and i could barely hide the tracks lol. thank God my hair is naturally wavy/curly so it has body that disguises the thinness. in time it’ll grow back but damn… it’s no joke!
This is what I’m thinking, it probably has something to do with breastfeeding. I’m tandem feeding and losing excessive hair. I’m thinking about quitting bc it probably takes a lot out of you
Breastfeeding didn't help me. I breast fed all my babies. Currently on my 3rd and I produced more milk this time because I have a major overproduction but my hair looks just like yours and Its killing me. At this point my daughter has more hair than me.
Did you try the ordinary hair peptide serum.. I’ve struggled with hair loss postpartum, low thyroid which is common to start after you have a baby & autoimmune hair loss all over thinking and big bald patches.. I’ve done vitamins, collagen shampoos.. all.. all at the time including rogain, Rosemary oil, caster oil … infra red … the one thing I really noticed the best result with was the ordinary peptide serum by 3months there was a lot of new growth. I still take a multivitamin and collagen and use shampoo for thinning hair nioxin.
Gia in the back steady trying hard to get in that bag your babies are beautiful 💜 and nurse here start taking prenatal vitamins now again it will do wonders for your hair, P. S edit love this video and your gorgeous take them prenatal vitamins start it'll grow back
💓💓💓 Girlllll kinda off topic, but me and my daughter have been binge watching your videos for a while and my mom has super long hair down to her butt that's all scraggly.. and my 9-year-old daughter just said ooooo... Brittany gray would be so mad right now if she seen Mom's ends LOL😭😭🤣🤣🤣 I died
I have to say yours was a bit more than my postpartum hair loss. But I commend you so much for making this video. If only they showed these kind of videos in sex-ed, teen pregnancy would be a rarity or it'd help prevent alot. I looked for what to expect videos when i was first pregnant with my 1st and NOONE was being honest lolllllllllllll.... joke was on me 🙄🤣
Did it just grow back naturally or did you do something to help? Did it ever go back to the way it used to be? My baby is almost 3 and it’s better but not the same way it was like before baby😢
I've not even had kids and my hair is the exact same. Just comes out and breaks with brushing, washing, touching... I'm honestly surprised I'm not bald. I might try minoxidil but it puts me off knowing you have to use forever..
Beautiful kids women with kids can relate and I like how your kids in video is so engage in your video and it so realistic and very normal and real life and not so edit we need more video like yours keep it going on topics met people at the normals
Hi just came across your channel ,omg you're beautiful and your babies are adorable ...I love giving individuals advice aspecially when it comes to hair .. Fenugreek ....drink fenugreek tea apply it on that area whiles it taking it's time to grow back so you helping the process to work a bit faster .. peace ✌️🙏
For some weird reason my hair was really really oily during my pregnancies. Like really bad oily! Gross oily. After they were born, my hair got massively thick!!! I can't complain but it was excessive thick. Pretty but heavy and causes headaches. I had to have it thinned out. Now my hair is going. Lol
If I had hair loss with the first baby, I didn't notice it. My hair was in a pixie cut and my edges were still the same. With the second baby....alarming. 😂 I still had my edges, but was losing long strands practically every time I touched my hair. I was so scared. It recovered, but my density was not the same.
Hi Britney, I would just like to say first of all that your family is beautiful and your a beautiful mummy. I have two babies around the same age as yours, well I say the same age, my son is 2 months, anyway. Finding breastfeeding alot more challenging this time round as I can't just sit and really focus on what we are both doing, if that's makes sense, he is a wriggler and we are still working on it, for the most part he does just fine but he struggles so much with his tummy, very gassy baby and unsettled, I decided to try him with a bottle and it just seemed to be alot better for him, I knew how much he was taking, he would settle better and he actually gets some sleep, I feel so bad, guilt about giving up the breastfeeding, I don't want to give up. At the moment I'm all over the place with boobs and bottles, just wanted to know what your feeding situation is, how when, what. Just trying to get into a good flow with this, I know the amounts will be different, I also know how stupid I might be sounding, I mean, I'm the mum, but my brain is just so frazzled and I'm so exhausted I just thought I'd ask you for some tips, how your doing it, thankyou
I went through the same thing and tbh my hair has never really went back to how it was fully before having my daughter and she is almost 5 and he’s my hair goes so short at the top of my head all the time. It grows back then starts to fall out again it’s frustrating
I love that even though you are insecure about it, you still showed your hair loss, because you are validating so many women right now ♥️👏🏻🙌🏻
I went through the same thing for my kids. It will definitely pass. Stay on prenatal vitamins for a while.

I never knew this was a thing until a friend told me recently. I’ve had 3 kids and everything-but I did breastfeed all for 6 months
Right there with you, girl. Currently in the grow back period... 😭
Thanks for your transparency. You're still pretty regardless. Blessings to you and your family. 🙂
High NRG baby girls! Gia is beautiful, my 15yo was like that. I put my baby girl in sports, swimming you may be able to start that now and she is a 10 year Spanish immersion student. Yes agree with you keep her busy. 😊 you and your babies are so beautiful. ❤️❤️
"This too shall pass" is everything to me in mommyhood 🙃🤪
Sucks. 😔
Have you had your thyroid hormones tested? I thought I was just losing hair after my second daughter but turns out I had postpartum thyroiditis.
So glad u still have the doggie too. 🤗
Can you do videos on how you style your daughters hair 💕
Gia and the puppy getting into trouble in the background is so cute 🥺💓 partners in crime
Hello Brittney Have you tried Rosemary oil on your hair I heard it works wonders. I hope this helps!
Try rose Mary oil scalp massages! It does wonders!
Try drinking fenugreek water.. it helps with postpartum shedding and breast milk production.. but it you will smell like maple syrup
I love her tiny fingers just analyzing your hair 🤣🤣🤣
Girl hold in there ! You got this and it happens. Just try to eat as healthy as possible, lots of fruits 🍎! And some supplements that might help are horsetail, nettle or saw palmetto! I have been using this for years and my hair grows like grass. The nettle can be consumed as a tea as well. Good luck girl !
Can you take those things while breastfeeding??
@@fruitloopbabe91 to be honest I don’t know ! Lol but I think you should be fine because this supplement are 100% natural so I don’t see why not. They are just herbs 🌿 if anything it might help the baby and the breast feeding but again idk I’m not a doctor.
I love your energy!
I’m thinking about quitting bc it probably takes a lot out of you
I love your videos, Can you do a video on hair grow after hair loss tip, I lost so
Some hair after COVID, beautiful it trough my thyroid off balance❤
Breastfeeding didn't help me. I breast fed all my babies. Currently on my 3rd and I produced more milk this time because I have a major overproduction but my hair looks just like yours and Its killing me. At this point my daughter has more hair than me.
Thank you for making this video, it's really encouraging 🙏
You would honestly look so beautiful still with a shaved head aswell. You can pull it off. 🧡
I am so so sorry! Look into Divi hair serum. It might help!
Omg I didn’t subscribe from my new account so I haven’t seen you on here in a while. Where did these babies come from 😂 congratulations 🎉
I looked for what to expect videos when i was first pregnant with my 1st and NOONE was being honest lolllllllllllll.... joke was on me 🙄🤣
Damn postpartum hair loss hurts too, I remember it falling out most when I would wash it and it hurt :(
I missed you..now lets watch this video
2:37 baby doing some beatboxing😂🥰🥰🥰so cute!!!
Did it just grow back naturally or did you do something to help? Did it ever go back to the way it used to be? My baby is almost 3 and it’s better but not the same way it was like before baby😢
My baby is 5 months and I just shaved my hair bald because of the hair loss it was driving me insane and I am starting over!
I stupid grey hair 👩🦳 feel like it’s not even my hair anymore ☹️
For your hair get some steel
Nettle capsules I do not have kids but really really thin hair and fish oil they are toooo cute💕 Gia runs that show 😂
