    "Thank you so much for joining me"
    How humble you are indeed.
    I mean everyone who's following you should be the one to send you a huge thank you for such extremely beneficial lesson that all of us ( whether extrovert or introvert ) will definitely need to better engage in active, more productive conversations.
    In situation 3, I will say:
    Well, guys, I might not be the best ice breaker, but I'd love to commence this lovely networking event and seize the opportunity by introducing myself and what I do. I am Mr. Anas. An English tutor and translator from Arabic into English and the other way round. I'm happy and even satisfied with what I do. Nowadays, I'm working on improving my English level more and more so that I can tackle more complex English situations, whether when asked about by students or merely when wanting to just participate in a live chat with people who might be native English speakers_ so I , hopefully, would be able to keep up with their naturally high English level and be able to interact powerfully.
    What do you think of my response dear teacher?
    Is it good?
    Frankly reply, please.

      Thank you so much for the kind comment and sharing your example! This is a great way to get started with an introduction. There's just one little change I recommend, "I might not _____ the best ice breaker but..." Can you think of a better alternative to the verb 'be?'

    Phrasal verbs are always challenging. I spotted two in this video: TURN DOWN and MUSTER UP. This last one is very interesting: to summon, gather or cobble something together, especially, intangible qualities
    "I have to muster up much courage to juggle working and studying without getting through burnout"
    Thank you for the lesson!

    Your lesson is a great help to initiate the conversation with unknown people. My answer to your question 1:'' I'm not even pretending to be a specialist in the art. I'll just ask you: where
    are you studying painting? Your manner seems me new." I'm excited about your complicated talent to explain clearly and delicate way. Thank you heartily.

    Thanks, very insightful. Reflected on myself, it's a problem for me that others asked questions and might well expect the "what about you" to start a two way conversation. Often times a potentially great conversation got stopped short by not asking this simple reciprocal question.

    • @Speakconfidentenglish
      @Speakconfidentenglish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad it was helpful! And you're right that these small, reciprocal questions are important to keep the conversation going.

    Annemarie I adore your way of presenting the lessons ,I 'was wondering what is the difference between networking,small talk,and making connections ? Do they mean nearly the same thing ?

    • @Speakconfidentenglish
      @Speakconfidentenglish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, Naima! Thank you for asking it. Networking the intention of the conversation, for example, to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts. We might use small talk questions to help us do that. Small talk questions tend to be polite but unimportant conversation starters to help us get things going.

    well first of all thank you so much for making this beneficial video which comes handy in many situations. If I were in a industry job fair for instance, I would reach out to the company that I know better and initiate the conversation like that. I've been following your projects for a while and your recent project - really impressed me. As a architect student I want to know more about the concept and the process if you don't mind? OR if I was seating by an industry member I would start with something common like did you attend - lecture? I heard he talked about some the recent challenge of the industry. How did you find his lecture? Do you think - should be a major concern of architects in near future?
