  • Nice rare Lincoln. One year only diesel option. 2.4 liter straight/in line 6 cylinder built by BMW and a ZF transmission.
Car is not currently actively for sale but would be willing to listen to offers.

My Dad's first Lincoln! Thanks for this trip down memory lane. The auto world of 1984 included that search for a marketable, higher MPG power train and diesel was given a shot. Issues to note: Beware of the air auto leveling suspension or you will have a low-rider. Replace the air suspension with coils. The belts would loosen over time so the car would not charge...a chronic problem. The black plastic remnants on the door panels and dash are due to removal of warped and blistered "real" wood trim as you see around the center console. Maddening to a details guy like me. Fond memories as I proudly drove her to the prom. Enjoy your rare and unique ride.

It sounds like a farm tractor, or a Ram with a Cummins! 😂😂 If I was a person of means, I'd buy that Continental just for the novelty, and the looks I'd get driving by.

Sounds better than the Olds 350 diesel. Who can work on the power train? Ford or BMW? That's a rare bird.

BMW won't touch it. Bad blood between then and Ford. I've even heard stories that they won't sell parts for it if they know it's the lincoln. Plenty of bmw equivalents to claim to get around that though.

@whiterosemotors9026 it is BMW engine. E28 5 series and E30 3 series had them in Europe. In turbo or N/A variant. E28 was fastest diesel for sale at that time

Put a 77,78 Mercury Marquis hood ornament on that car.
