It's an awesome tutorial :D i know only one way to create hair (which is with curves) and learning another ways are sometimes easier :d oh and for my Blender homies, the brushes are the Grab brush (you can use snake hook for some areas), Crease brush, Clay Stripes brush, Flatten brush and Draw Sharp brush, and ofc u r gonna use the smooth brush as well.
To be honest. I came across your videos quite by chance (thank you, TH-cam's algorithm) and got HOOKED! Your explanations are very professional and precise. Awesome edit. And I hope to see this channel evolve and grow!
Hello from Ukraine, Kyiv! I really appreciate that you upload teaching videos!) That help to make consistent all thoughts about using appropriate techniques in work! Thank you!
Yup yup, like the other viewers mentioned you're my new favorite. Honest, thorough, perfect energy level. All your explanations and thought processes are relatable, validating and helpful. Chill af, great edits too, i like the quad screen time-lapse cuts. Keep going! Episode 2 can't wait! You are going to blow up :D
You quickly became my favorite Zbrush youtuber, amazing content, amazing high quality videos and good explanations, kudos to you man, i can tell you're going to be big. 🔥
This was a very informative video. Thanks a lot. I was expecting to see you use Pinch brush. Interesting that you didn't use it at all. Hope to see the long-awaited second episode at some point in the future.
your video literally saved me as a ZBrush beginner, and really helped me figure out how I'd work on my sculpture... plus being so professional and straight fwd. Obvious that you deserve more MORE thumbs up and I must hit the subscribe btn now.
i know thi sis an old video but I would really love it if you made a tutorial on making a mouth pocket for cute animal muzzles? i normally sculpt with the maw open, but I haven't bothered doing it closed. you did one for a closed human mouth. but I hope you can do one for a muzzle. also maybe its been made already but perhaps you can talk about the Zmodler brush as well! thanks!
you know I've had them for so long that I don't remember where I originally downloaded them but I did a quick search and found the exact batch that I use here: www.artstation.com/a/15706816 from Pierre Benjamin
Be curious to hear your thoughts on the new contrast brush in Zbrush when it comes to polishing the hard edges. I've found its changed the way i depend on those two brushes and instead use it.
I'm shocked these flew under my radar. I spent some time messing with them this morning and they are AWESOME. Particularly the contrast delta. I can definitely see them being a useful part of this kind of work. Thanks for pointing them out!
@@hartgameart yeah i was sitting in Unreal's discord and a zbrush guru pointed it out... we were all shocked at its usage as what zbrush tell you it does vs what it actually does... but for stylized sculpting its just so much easier.
one of the things im struggling with is not so much the hair creations its how do you uv stylized hair if you just show like a quick picture with a small explorations i would take it you dont have to do a full on vid if you dont want to
I don't have UVs on this hair right now but if I do I'll send you a snapshot. I have been thinking about doing a companion video to this so we can go over UVs, textures, and setting up a anisotropic shader
