As an American I am so jealous of the amount of preheat still in use in whatever country you live in and most of the world. Rapid start took over in the US and Canada around 1965. Even really before that for 30 and 40w tubes, and we never had preheat 6, 7, 8’ and so forth tubes either. Or 5’.
These are much more interesting than the lights in my school. The only preheat lights in my school are the exit sign lights but some of them have been replaced or not working (as in completely dead).

Damn, there's still many Preheat T8 fixtures everywhere in my place lol
