  • We went hiking on the Emerald Outback Trails in Beech Mountain, NC. These trails opened in 2011 and updated in 2014 and sit at 5,400 elevation on top of Beech Mountain. The trails are all year trails for mountain biking, walking, and hiking in the summer and winter snowshoeing in the winter.
You can make a great day of this trail by visiting the town of Beech Mountain, maybe stopping at the Beech Mountain resort & grab a beer at the brewery, or taking the ski-lift up for some more fun!
Wondering why it's called the Emerald Outback? It's because the Land of Oz sits here. It only opens twice a year and you can read all about it here: theburksandbey...
Stay tuned for more of our videos & make sure to subscribe to see them as they come!

85mm at 24 fps for some great slow mo B roll shots. I'm in Gastonia as well. good shots though.

We just filmed this with a GoPro on the go, nothing fancy like our commercial work 😊

Also if you are wanting Slo-Mo probably want to shoot of 60fps or 120fps, 24fps isn’t for that.

I think I need to buy a home close by that area. If you could live anyplace near, where would it be? Or... would it be near a different ski area? Thank You from North Clovis CA
