- In this elden ring video I'm testing whether any of the main bosses in the game can survive the Haligtree army, which is made by 14 cleanrot knights and their commander Malenia, blade of Miquella. All 14 knights (7 spear and 7 sickle) and Malenia have grabs enabled, as well as some other bosses of course.
According to the elden ring lore Malenia, sister of Miquella, is the daughter of Radagon of the golden order and hence a demigoddess, who was cursed upon birth with a rotting body. Along with Radahn, she is considered to be the mightiest of the demigods and was the last warrior standing on the battlefield after the shattering, where she fought against Radahn along with the haligtree army in a battle which ended in a draw. After being carried home to the haligtree by a cleanrot knight, she found out her brother's cocoon was gone and now spends her days awaiting his return.

Nobody talking about morgott who despite getting grabbed 4 times still went out with a bang,taking out nearly the entire cleanrot knight army with him

if this was a long lasting campaign where Malenia was only allowed to bring the survivors of each successive round, Morgott wouldn't have won, but he'd ensure that Malenia's next battle is a resounding defeat
If it was "army vs army" in the capital, i'd say Morgott would beat malenia lore-wise, since he had the strongest army in the Shattering i guess.
@@allmasterofficial I would believe that, based on the opening cinematic we can piece together that Morgott and his army repelled an attack on Leyendell by the Redmanes and directly engaged Radahn in combat (or someone very visually similar to him) meaning they defeated Radahn's forces. Given that Radahn and his Redmanes and Malenia and her Cleanrots fought to a draw I would wager lore wise that makes Morgott and the Leyendell army the most powerful organized force in the Lands Between.

The cleanrot knights are much more aggressive and rely on a lot of fast direct running attacks. Their fighting style complements Malenia's first phase which is very passive, slow moving and defensive. This combined with the cleanrot knights and Malenia having much lower poise than most bosses means that their opponents can get more opportunities to act than against Godfrey and the crucible knights.
Treu, if Malenia was as aggressive as the knights they'd have carved through everything with ease.
Maybe an army battle is in order.

The Malenia fight was actually super cool. The ending with phase 1 vs phase 2 felt like Malenia fighting against the rot in herself and losing.

Cleanrots gathering around an empty circle while Malenia was getting beaten by the Godskin Duo in the back was fun, and the Elden Lady dance is just 10/10
Looking at a mixed army of Cleanrot Knights AND Malenia leading them, has to be one of the single most terrifying things to see in this game.
First Elden Lord's army against the giants would be more terrifying.

Dude the godskin duo fight was a rollercoaster of emotions, first I thought they were fckd because malenia was the only one fighting, then the rest began to fight too and I was like ok they’ve got this, but then some of them were stupid again and didn’t fight while the rest died, and the roll from the noble killed all of them apart from one. But when all hope was lost the one last soldier did the impossible and won them the fight

The fight between Malenia vs Malenia was so good. Their skill combats counter each other and we could see some insane dodges made by the two as they try to find their openings.

Maliketh's swift rip and tear through the army ending with his duel against malenia he wins by a hair was stupidly cool.
Mohg vs Malenia was top 10 anime battles for me especially after her army was gone, starting at 19:05 was a masterpiece!
The melania vs melania was so epic. Especially the part where rot goddess was using waterfowl, then the normal one tanked it and grabed the rot goddess halfway through
The scariest thought to me is if rykard did consume melania he’d be infected by scarlet rot, making him a mindless serpent spreading the rot as it rampages through the lands between in search of more gods to devour

@@ivory867 The serpent is undying, but the rot is very much the influence of an outer god. No matter how strong the snake is, it wouldn’t have control over rot. The only one capable of withstanding any outer god influence is Miquella.
Damn gonna love that Godfrey fight, such a epic comeback.
And for the godskin duo fight, I think those knight are looking at the boss character used for the HP bar. I think there is one more dude underground like the Four Kings in DS1.

Amazing Video ! just a little info for those who don't know :
Godskin duo @15:12 , there is an underground and out-of-bound Apostle NPC right under where they are looking , which is the NPC that actually has the health bar , and by hitting the Godskin duo , his health diminishes , which is the way that Fromsoftware usually calculates the health of 2 bosses fight in their previous games.
That is the reason why when you kill the godskin duo , you hear the sound of a third NPC dieing.

The rest was frustrating though, as her AI doesn't work right against very large bosses, so she stupidly does nothing the entire time , including launching moves that can't possibly come anywhere near the foe.
Great video as always. Also just an idea the Redmane Army vs the Haligtree Army, but with equal scaling due to Radahn being an early game boss and Malenia more late game.

Malenia getting shwacked by the duo, the rest of the cleanrots all confused. it's down to the wire, a scythe knight the only one to bring it back. probably Finlay she's used to carrying the entire damn team
how is it the one time Malenia isn't lore walking its against the dark lord of lore walking himself, to beat down Mohg and get her brother back ?! Beautiful. the fight between the two was beautifully choereographed for an AI fight... also that voice line at the end giving chills in context
there's something beautifully poetic about blade of miquella malenia fighting against Goddess of Rot Malenia it feels like a story. seeing MAlenia interrupt waterfowl with the impale move is absolutely gorgeous. this is probably the coolest fight so far in sheer spectacle. the blooming to finish it off ends the whole poetic bout beautifully and in epic fashion
Malenia's goon squad had absolutely 0 chill for Radagon. beat the eveloving crap out of Malenia's single parent entity. had him on sight and i for one agree. the great space whale is the great space whale no big deal- Malenia's victory dance was pretty sick though

I don't know anything about programming but Elden Ring AIs seem to be really weird when it comes to enemies with variations. All of the sickle knights were using some attacks that are supposed be only usable by the spear knights, like the impaling grab attack. It's like the program blends together both of the AI variations in some way
The sickle knights normally do the impaling grab too, you’ve just probably never seen it while playing.
@@Trlll one of my hobbies whenever I am bored out of my mind is grabbing the heaviest greatshield and block enemy attacks just see their AI. I can assure you the sickle knights don't have that attack, you don't have to believe me just go play the game and see for yourself

Compared to miquella and Godwyn I cannot for sure say that Rykard officially became something more than just a demigod. Sure miquella is asleep and Godwyn is literally taking over the lands between with his corpse. But Rykard was slowly becoming dangerously powerful
I believe the God-Devouring Serpent is a vessel for an outer god, if it isn’t one already. So yeah, a demigod working with an outer god is pretty deadly.
Shout out to Godrick who, despite being completely outclassed, still charged head first to smack every knight at once like a chad.
I'm curious to see some vids of this type involving Royal Revenant(s) vs bosses. Those are some of the toughest enemies in the game in many ways.

17:30 so it should be quite clear that if the banished knights outside weren’t drawing the Cleanrot Knights aggro for 95% of the fight, the Godskin Duo wouldn’t be wearing Malenia’s skin as a coat after that fight. And that is canonically what they do to divinity, turn them into clothing. And Malenia is a goddess, so they would definitely do that to her. Thankfully one knight had Finlay’s spirit and avenged Malenia. The only knight remaining in fact.

You have to do armies versus each other next! Leyndell army (morgott and leyndell forces), Radahn's army (Radahn, redmane forces), Godrick's forces (Godrick, godrick's soldiers) and so on

Looked like the Caelid versions for sure. The Elphael Cleanrot Knights have about twice as much health.
Considering the overkill in the last video I decided to go for some weaker versions of Knights lol

So many of these fights are so close that if Malenia was just the tiniest bit more aggressive or used Waterfowl Dance one or two more times she would have won. Her passive AI makes a world of difference. It's actually noteworthy how little she used Waterfowl, I don't think she used it at all against Godfrey.
I was thinking the same exact thing. Most of these loses were easily avoidable if Malenia had just went all out.
Interesting that bosses which normally lose to Malenia 1v1 can beat her and her army. Probably because the army creates a crowd that Malenia can’t always get through and the bosses have something else to target, not always putting them in range of Malenia herself and letting them get off more big aoe attacks that can hit her too.

Melania is programmed to only attack heavily when she is being "focused" or locked-on
You can actually see this for yourself if you try fighting her without your targeting reticle, she is SUPER passive so long as it isn't on her. There are a bunch of videos showing how you can cheese this, by having her fight summons. She will totally ignore you to focus on the one attacking her, so long as you are not actively targeting her...but you can also instantly draw aggro mid-attack by locking onto her when she decides to use Waterfowl on your summon, thus causing her to re-target and often not hit.
It is slow, but someone did a no-hit run with Malenia using this cheese and a ranged summon. You draw aggro by staying somewhat close and targeting her every time she goes to attack your summon, but otherwise just...walk around her without targeting her, she'll spend the entire time walking towards you menacingly, and little else, as she dies to chip damage.

I'd like to see a group video like this, but with casualties the group takes in one battle carrying on to the next! (AkA, any enemies one boss kills in one battle aren't there in the next fight. They died, simple as that.) I dunno, I just thought it'd be a fun way to spice up this kind of video.
