Environments was shot in one continuous take on 100ft of Kodak vision 3 250D 16mm motion picture film with the Arriflex 16SB and the Sony pcm d100 recorder.
Filmed in Queensland, Australia
At the Marry Cairncross Scenic Reserve.

absolutely stunning footage! almost all 16mm images are very soft and blurry; other than scanning the footage at 4k, are there any other ways you achieved these crisp and detailed shots by changing something in-camera or in the processing?
Honestly I give full credit to where I have my film scanned,
I always have it delivered in 4K but I believe they scan at 6.5k and deliver in 4K,
Not sure on the technicalities involved but aside from that I just really take my time thought every aspect.

Okay so you've used a lot of film camera bodies now how do you think they all compare? I'm assuming you switched to the Arri to get a longer runtime on the Mag? are you renting or do you own?

I love the look of Kodak Vision on 16mm, it really hits the spot. Your videos made me consider taking the analog film path but in the end I stayed with digital. I'm okay with using film emulations myself but I'm also happy that some filmmakers do use real film :)
