That yarn is not available I’m thinking about big twist cotton but that yarn calls for an H hook , should I size down to a G or do a E like pictured here.

Hi if the yarn is a thicker cotton then you could you a size E or G but the hat might be larger to mine in the video. You might to to adjust the increasing rows when doing the circle part thanks

Hi this pattern would fit a 3 - 4 year old. Best way is to measure the circle part around and for a 18 mnths should be 48 cm. You could adjust the rows in the circle part. Do one less row for a smaller hat or one more row for bigger hat thanks
