GN Reader Ever since you've enrolled into the Akademiya you've earned a rival in your class. You two would always compete over who had the better grades and test score. Nine times out of ten it was always him. This was that rare one. You were handed back your test paper and you scored a 100. A bright smile was displayed on your face at your achievement. You studied day and night for this test since it was a math one and you really wanted to do well so you were happy when your hard work and lost sleep was rewarded. You looked over to your right where your rival sat a few seats away. Your eyes locked with his and his head was propped up on the desk with his fist. For some odd reason your heart always skipped when you looked at him but you always ignored it. "What did you get?" You asked, showing him your 100. "I got a 98" he said. You were shocked that you scored higher than him but you were happy. "Hah! I win!" You cheered. He had a soft smile when he saw your happiness. You looked so adorable when you were celebrating and beautiful when you did anything. Whether you were working or doing something stupid, he couldn't help but admire you. Another test was coming up and you were certain that you were going to surpass your rival yet again. However no matter how many times you tried to focus on studying, he invaded your mind. You figured listening to some calm love songs would help you focus but it only made the thoughts about him stronger. The way you two had your playful arguments and just hung out together just made you happy and smile like an idiot. On the day after the test he suggested that he come over to your house to hang out. You accepted and now this is where you wound up. He laid his head in your lap, reading his book. Your hand gently ran through his silver hair as you took in his features. His fierce but gentle, beautiful eyes. His sharp jawline and soft skin. His rare smile and...kissable lips. "How's your book?" you asked. "It's good" he mumbled, keeping his eyes on the pages. You pushed back his bangs and exposed his forehead before leaning down and planting a soft kiss on it. When you pulled away there was a faint blush on his cheeks. It was noticeable but barely. "Can I tell you something?" you asked, caressing his head. He shifted his attention to you and placed his book facedown on his stomach. "What is it?" he asked genuinely curious. "I love you, Alhaitham" you confessed. "I know and I love you too" he said. "What do you mean you know?" "It was quite obvious to me. I just wanted to see how long it would take for you to confess" he chuckled, caressing your cheek. His touch was soft and gentle, careful like you were a Fabergé egg. You held his hand that was on your cheek, turning your head a bit to plant a kiss on his palm. You turned your head back to its original position. "I love you, y/n" he said, loud enough for only your ears to hear and yours alone.
POV because I love to mess with people, hehe ❤ Grand Sage there, Grand sage that... It seems like everyone is just talking about him. How is it even possible that it is him. You can already see, how bad this will go. Alhaitham is one of the most self-centered and unluckily intelligent people you have ever met since you both went to the academy a couple of years ago. And now he is your superior, having to confirm your research about human psychology, you wish to conduct. Why has it to be him. Every time you try to talk to him, he would totally disregard anything you say, and when he does look up from his book, his look of superiority would tear you to shreds. Even though his eyes are quite pretty and interesting to look at... Anyway, working with him was always a pain in the ass and his degrading words about anything you do still sting to this day. How can such an arrogant bookworm, douchebag, whatever be the current sage with such a trained body... Arggh focuse... you need to perform in front of him to get his approval to further conduct your research. Even before you can even knock, his cold voice sounded through the grand door to his office. As you opened it, the same stare he had during your time together at the academy put holes through your entire body. Well, at least that didn't change... "It seems like you didn't change much since the last time I saw you. Trying to be punctual only to be so stiff and nervous in front of a door that you actually manage to come late again. How typical of you." "I apologise, Grand Sage. It seems like I wasted 2 min of your invaluable time today." Even though your research is on the line, you couldn't hold back a snarky remark. His face makes your blood rush through your entire body, and what's wrong with your heart. It beats faster than you like to accept. "And still as defensive as always. Be careful. Your remarks may influence your future opportunities, especially your current research. What was it about... human psychology?" Quite a simple topic you chose, didn't you. This is clearly a provocation from him. Always trying to aggravate you before making a fool out if you. You need to keep it professional to succeed here. "I do not understand your worries about my professional conduct. Even though we might have past differences, this does not allow you to shame me or my studies. I would wish for us to keep this conversation on a professional level, especially with the Grand Sage." His eyes quickly lit up with an emotion that you couldn't grasp, but you didn't bother about that for too long. "Well, let's continue about what I actually came for. It's not like psychology is a useless topic. As you might see, my research focuses on how two different personality types react to stress situations and how they might interact with each other. This could help with how to group our soldiers, school classes..." After you finished your presentation, you took a quick breath only to see Alhaitham staring at you intently. What is he trying to do here? "You ask for quite a bit here. Your research would require a lot of resources that might be more useful for other matters. And I am uncertain if you are capable enough to manage them either. " He then started to look at other documents that lay on his table, not even glancing at you again. And there he is, putting your skills into question again. His indifferent demeanour and disinterest makes you clench your fist as you suddenly blurted something out. "Then ask me any questions you have about my research topic and I will answer them with certainty you've never seen before." He looks up as he directs his eyes to you again. There is this hidden intent shining through his eyes only for it to disappear again. His body language isn't telling much either. His muscular arms are laying relaxed on the table and his packed chest slowly heaps up and down showing no sign of change. "Is that so. Then let me ask you this: How would we both react when we are in a stress situation together? This question took you by suprise. You both... what does he try to do here? As you scramble for an answer, he stands up from behind his desk slowly walking towards you. Suprise by his sudden movement you utter some type of answer. "I cannot give you an indefinite answer to that. I would need to study both our personalities and actually put us into such a situation. That's why it is important for me to conduct..." Before you could even finish your sentece, he took your wrist only to slam your body onto the next wall. He positions himself in front of you, putting his knee in between your legs. His hand would hold your wrists above your head, forcing you to stay put before him. "Well, if you don't know what would happen, then let us conduct a study. I think this would suffice as a stress situation. At least that is what your body tells me. Your heartbeat quickened so fast that some might assume that you just ran a marathon. And your eyes trying to avert me and looking for an escape seem like a good indication, or am I wrong." "What are you doing! This isn't what I meant. Let go of me, this is..." He chuckles (an unusual sound from him) as he responds. "This is not a stressful enough situation, you mean. Ok, let me change that. " With this incomprehensible look in his eyes, he took one of your hands and started to kiss it gently. Starting from your fingertips to your palm, down to your wrist as he suddenly bit down on it. His sharp teeth pierces your skin forcefully, even drawing blood. He looks satisfied at the bite mark he left. You winced as he licked it. God what got into him... and why do I not stop him. Everytime he looks at me there is curiosity reflecting in his eyes. His he expecting something? "Sigh... I don't understand you a single bit. You look at me with such resentment and still you always take a couple glances at me when I am not looking. You always seemed so angry with me, but then you're always the first to suddenly wake me up in the library if I fell asleep there. How are you doing it. You're the most captivating and... interesting person around here. You seem like a riddle trying to stay unsolved but still luring others to try to break it. Every time you walk past me, there is this lingering feeling... of desire. I need you, now." And with that, he pulles you close and kisses you. What are you doing? Why are you leaning in closer, grabbing his hair with the hand he just marked? Your thoughts are spinning. I need him to stop, or do I really want him to. As you both broke off the kiss, the feeling still lingering on your lips, you whispered something in his ear. "So, is this your reaction to stress when I'm around... lust." He quickly becomes red after he feels your breath. He deflected your assumption by showing his indifferent demeanour, but this time, a conspicuous smile creeps up from him. "Well, I have to believe that you don't mind my reaction. It is valuable information you get from this. So I don't think you would mind if we continued our experiment for a little longer. There is so much I need to know about your personality and you about mine. First of all, how would you react if I do this." He lowers his head down to your neck, having his breath, sending shivers down your spine. Licking a sensitive spot of yours sensually before biting down on it. You gasped for air as he bit down harder. Your hands grip him hard on his back as you try not to let a moan escape. "Don't hide your cute sounds, or that would falsify the results, or do I need to leave a mark somewhere lower to get a true reaction." You... I swear if what happens here comes out, I will make sure that you never see any light again after I buried you alive." "So this how you react in a stressful situation with me... played anger. Don't worry, we will continue this study for as long as we reached some conclusive results, even if this means that you won't be able to walk out if this building straight." His eyes are filled with a dark gloom and lust, which makes your knees shaky. This didn't go to bad as you expected. Hell this is even better than you could have imagined. The Grand Sage helping you to "conduct your study". It may not be too bad that it is him, who is going to absolutely destr... "Darling, where are your thoughts running off to. Focuse on me. I would love to see how you react when I bite down on your thighs." As he lowered his head down to your most sensitive parts your body heated up from the anticipation. "Well, I hope you don't have any plans after this. We need to do a couple of rounds so we have useful "results" even when it may cause your entire body to be sore tomorrow." "Don't disappoint me, darling."
(TW: A few swear words, but pretty much it. Enjoy I guess.) -It wasn’t a question of when, but more of a how. For as long as you could remember, you and Alhaitham were pretty much considered to be on par in the battle of wits and intellect, *most especially* during your time in the Akademiya. But for someone as cold and rational, you wouldn’t expect Alhaitham to be the type to reciprocate such petty rivalry. It was naturally uncharacteristic of him, yet for years, he played along with it even if he wouldn’t bat an eye if he lost. You weren’t even sure why you were still bothered, but perhaps it was because of the fact that he kept coming out on top without even trying or that he didn’t take you seriously. He wouldn’t care if your name was on the top of the scholars’ list again, or if you would have the highest score in occasional times. Because Alhaitham always reclaimed 1st place, leaving you at second best like always. Which led you to be highly competitive. He irked you in more ways than one. Squabbles between the two of you weren’t uncommon, whatever was thrown to rile the other up would be refuted but then counterclaimed, and so forth. None of you would care who won at the end of the day as long as there was a sense of accomplishment. However, people would point out a few times how much Alhaitham actually paid close attention to you just as you did to him. And they’d *joke* around about how close you two actually were. *What the hell?* How can they say that when you, yourself, weren’t sure of your relationship with him? Friends-definitely not. Rivals, maybe. But he’s always managed to confuse you somehow. Whether to gain the upper hand or not, it left you stumped. Beyond any doubt, you couldn’t consider it normal for a rival to help you out over that one thesis you kept beating yourself up over with, or for a rival to take you back to your dorm room when you were too drunk, or for a rival to let you borrow his unlimited access card over the number of books you could borrow in the Akademiya library. Even when you two graduated, rather than reveling over how you might not see each other again, *you* kept crossing paths with him because the both of you shared a friend. Tighnari couldn’t count the number of times he had to roll his eyes at you two, Kaveh was a guy you befriended eventually due to your mutual feeling against Alhaitham, and Cyno was a pretty cool guy you met through Tighnari. *Even to this day, you still didn’t know.* “I hate you so much.” You said to him one day in response to his bullshit of a theory that you couldn’t disprove as you were absentmindedly reaching over for a cup of liquor. Curse your own self for trying to challenge him once more without any backup plan. Tighnari had dragged you over a get-together with them and of course, *he was there.* “Harder then,” Alhaitham encouraged you with that stupid neutral tone of his, rather than responding to you normally. *Why?* He’s not even looking at you, his eyes focused on the book in hand and there’s that exceptional, yet faint smirk playing on his lips that you wanted nothing more than to wipe off. He was quick to take away the cup you were reaching for, handing it over to Tighnari instead. You were actually allergic to that liquor-did he know that? He then added swimmingly, “You don’t even seem like you’re trying.” You gritted with a huff, “Watch me.” *Do you even mean that?* “This is getting rather boring, don’t you think? Always like this, the two of you,” Cyno piqued up from beside you, sighing as he took a sip of his own drink. He and Tighnari shared a look as if they were fed up with whatever was going on between you. You didn’t even know why you said that, and you’re not even drunk, you were completely sober compared to Kaveh who was already sobbing dramatically on your other side over his rent. “Not always. I believe you were much harsher back then, weren’t you, (Y/n)?” Alhaitham answered, your name smoothly escaping his lips, and you were taken aback slightly when his gaze left the pages briefly to meet your own. *Now, why exactly were you easily affected by that?* “It’s no different still.” You cleared your throat, being the first to look away as you managed to get a hold of a cup of water instead, its rim against your lips as you murmured, “Nothing’s changed.” *Fuck,* since when were you the first to look away? Where was the determined inner you that never backed down from any dispute? You were still opposed in every way to him, and there was no way you ever wanted him to feel a triumph over you. But once again, he’s able to leave you speechless when he said- “Ah, but you’re starting to like me, aren’t you?” Out came bits of water, your mouth trying with all of its might not to completely spit what you've drank as you lightly choked. Tighnari cringed a little at that, while Cyno patted your back momentarily. Meanwhile, Kaveh thought he was seeing a broken fountain before him. “Am not-" You responded hastily, *suspiciously too fast*, right after swallowing your water. “LIARS!" The drunk blonde-haired architect suddenly stood up, his body wavering that both you and Cyno instinctively positioned your arms in case he'd fall and hit his head. He wackily pointed at you and then he smacked your head multiple times, your face scrunching in confusion when he did. "Liars… LIARS! …They go to hell…. bad… *vvvvvvery* bad…." "Kaveh, what the fuck, no, you’re not supposed to back him up," You pleaded somehow, feeling betrayed that he was now on the other's side. Just as when you thought we were peas in a pod. “So it’s true then?” Tighnari raised an eyebrow from his seat across you and beside Alhaitham, as if picking up on something. “What-? *No, no, no,* no way. That's not possible.” You denied, even though your eyes darted at anywhere but looking at grey-haired male's direction. Kaveh had blacked out mid-way during the whole thing, and his face slumped against the table. Cyno and Tighnari shared a brief, deadpanned look once more, as if knowing more than you could ever of yourself. And you still tried to save your face by saying, “Besides, if anything, you hate me.” At that, Alhaitham slyly smiled, although it was almost hard to tell as his expression had always been impassive. He closed the book he was holding shut and leisurely rose to his feet. We all watched-You watched, somewhat stunned as he walked with careful steps around the table, and your heartbeat matched each and every single one. Why did you feel nervous? There's that sense of anticipation of the unexpectedness when he stopped right behind you, and you didn't dare turn your head to look at him. Just what was he planning to do? His pale, slender hand came over at your line of vision, and your breath hitched when it slowly cupped your own that was holding over at your cup. He gently entangled your hand from it so his fingers could be holding yours, and your eyes followed as he brought them over to his lips, kissing your knuckles softly. Alhaitham's gaze met yours, and you couldn't look away. And you're stumped once more as he whispered, his warm breath against your knuckles, “Now, when did I ever say that?” He doesn't say more, and he let your hand go before you could even speak as he then walked out of the inn, acting like he did nothing. You could hear Tighnari and Cyno snickering from behind you over Kaveh's snores but that's besides the point. *What was that for-?*
I love how this playlist is so comforting. It feels like falling for every detail that you once hate from your rival and him becoming the comfort you never thought you'll have.
[EMBERS OF RIVALRY: A SLOW BURN CONNECTION] POV In a bustling city, you and Alhaitham found yourselves as classmates in a prestigious university. Both brilliant and driven, you quickly became rivals in your academic pursuits. Your competitive nature fueled intense debates and intellectual clashes within the classroom walls. Alhaitham, with his sharp intellect and unwavering focus on the pursuit of knowledge, often found himself at odds with your confident and determined approach. You clashed on various topics, challenging each other's theories and presenting compelling arguments. Your academic rivalry was well-known among your peers, and it created an atmosphere of tension whenever you were in the same room. Outside the classroom, you and Alhaitham led separate lives. Alhaitham immersed himself in his studies, spending countless hours in the library, while you excelled in extracurricular activities, showcasing your talents in music and art. Your lives rarely intersected beyond the realm of academia. As time went on, however, you began to notice something different in your interactions. Amidst the debates and clashes, you discovered a grudging admiration for each other's intellect and passion. Slowly, your animosity transformed into a begrudging respect. One fateful evening, a chance encounter brought you face to face outside the university's library. Alhaitham, engrossed in a book, looked up to find you standing before him. In that moment, your eyes met, and an unspoken understanding seemed to pass between you. You broke the silence, your voice laced with a hint of curiosity. "You like me, don't you?" You questioned, your gaze unwavering. Alhaitham, caught off guard by your directness, paused for a moment, contemplating his response. "I wouldn't say I like you," he replied, his tone measured. "But I can't deny the growing admiration I have for your intellect and determination." Your lips curved into a wry smile. "You're starting to like me, aren't you?" You teased, your playful tone showing a glimpse of vulnerability. Alhaitham's gaze softened, and he nodded subtly. "Perhaps," he admitted, surprising himself with his honesty. "There's more to you than meets the eye, Y/N. Our rivalry has pushed me to be better, and for that, I can't help but feel a certain connection." You took a step closer, the air charged with anticipation. "Funny how competition can lead to understanding," you mused, studying him intently. "I've come to appreciate your intellect and dedication too, Alhaitham. It's refreshing to find someone who challenges me." A small smile tugged at the corner of Alhaitham's lips. "Likewise, Y/N, You've shown me perspectives I hadn't considered before. Our debates have opened my mind to new possibilities." As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, your relationship with Alhaitham evolved. You found yourselves seeking each other's company outside of classes, engaging in discussion that extends beyond the confines of academia. Your conversations became more personal, revealing layers of yourselves that you had once kept hidden. The slow burn of your newfound connection was palpable as you navigated the complexities of your evolving feelings. Each moment spent together brought you closer, unraveling the layers of your pride and revealing vulnerability beneath. One afternoon, while strolling through the campus garden with Alhaitham, you paused beside a blooming cherry blossom tree. The delicate petals danced in the breeze, mirroring the flutter in your chest. "You know," you began, your voice filled with a mix of hesitation and anticipation, "I never thought I'd enjoy spending time with my rival." Alhaitham's eyes sparkled with warmth as he regarded you. "Funny how life surprises us, isn't it? Our rivalry may have brought us together, but it's our shared interests and understanding that have kept us connected." A soft smile played on your lips. "I suppose there's more to people than what we initially see. And sometimes, the people who challenges us the most can end up being the ones who understand us the best, or the people we clash with the most can become the ones you cherish the most." As the words hung in the air, there was a brief pause, a moment filled with unspoken emotions and feelings. Then, unexpectedly, Alhaitham leaned in, capturing your lips in a tender kiss. Your eyes widened in surprise, your heart racing as the world around you seemed fo fade away. It was a sweet, lingering kiss that spoke volumes about the depth of your connection. When you finally pulled away, a blush crept across your cheeks, and you struggled to find your words. "Wow," you managed to whisper, your voice filled with a mix of surprise and flustered delight. "That... that was unexpected." Alhaitham's gaze held a mixture of tenderness and amusement. "I couldn't resist," he admitted, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "There's something undeniably captivating about you, Y/N. Our rivalry may have sparked the fire, but it's the moment we've shared that made me realize that there's more between us." Your heartbeat echoed in your ears as you tried to compose yourself, your cheeks still flushed. "I never thought our rivalry would lead to this," you confessed, your voice tinged with a mix of wonder and excitement. "But I'm glad it did." Alhaitham reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "Me too, Y/N. Sometimes, the most unexpected connections can turn out to be the most meaningful one." As you stood there, under the cherry blossom tree, a newfound sense of warmth enveloped you both. The world seemed to hold its breath, as if acknowledging the beginning of something extraordinary. And as you walked hand in hand, the future stretched out before you, filled with shared dreams, and a love that had blossomed from the unlikeliest of beginnings. End.
THIS IS WRITTEN SO WELL how am I reading this for free, I feel like I'm reading a chapter from a novel!?!? 😭💗 let me just.. appreciate this story and pin this comment...
@@transportationrodent8018 Hello. I’m not exactly familiar with AI writing one-shots like this and how one can know if it’s written by said AI. Can you tell me how this story is an example of it?
lets see how much i can write before class lmao pov for all you lovelies you thought that coming to the akademiya would be smooth sailing, all of your life school came easy to you and you were always proudest to be number one. it placated your parents and the fighting at home stopped for a few days when they saw you were number one on your report cards. it was almost like your survival tactic, so when you got a scholarship to attend the akadamiya you jumped at the opportunity to leave monstadt and leave that house. a change of pace was what you needed, what you wanted. however, it didn't come as easy as you thought. the competition at the akademiya was much more intense than you ever thought. in your class there was another boy who was the top of the class, you were jealous and felt as if your spot was stolen. you knew it was superficial and stupid but that was all you knew, being number one was your safety net and your survival. you spent countless sleepless nights in the library studying to maintain your number two spot, and even that was not easy, but you were not the only one, he was always there as well. Alhaitham, always had his eye on you, when you first arrived at school you were all smiles, a breath of fresh air in this dim institute. However it didn't take long for your happy face to become tired and dull, he missed your cheerful face and had no idea that he was the one who caused your change in demeaner. Nevertheless, he could tell that you were hostile towards him and for some reason he didn't like that, it made him feel hurt and he could feel a crush for you forming. To calm this growing feeling he liked to be in the library when you were, "studying" was what it seemed like to you but he was really there to study you. Your facial features when you get frustrated, your eyes when they light up at figuring something out and how hard you worked yourself. You never talked, just studied in each others presence, the silence soothed both of you. Finals were approaching after a long semester and the library grew increasingly busy and you found yourself sitting next to Alhaitham as there were no other seats. It was against your will but you also thought you could take this chance to spy on his study routine, maybe that help the key to his success. You noticed that he wasn't even studying the whole time, he was reading a book that had no relevance to the classes. You looked at him in disbelief. "Is there something on my face," he asked smugly. I flinched, not realizing he noticed my obvious staring. I turned back to my studying without responding. He laughed, it was very soothing and you surprisingly loved the sound, you found myself wanting to hear it again and mentally slapped yourself. you shouldn't be focusing on him, you should be focusing on studying. Days passed and you somehow always ended up sitting next to him, he was always focused on you and you tried your very best to push all thoughts of him out of your mind. You found yourself looking forward to seeing him, even if you denied it there was some small part of yourself that wondered if you only portrayed him as someone to hate because he was smart. Even when finals finished and you ended up second and him first, your routine of sitting next to each other continued, whether he sat next to you or you sat next to him. there was a silent friendship forming between you two, words were scarce but you both knew that each other company was comforting. Then one day he stopped showing up, you thought it was a one day thing then it became two days then a week passed. Something was wrong and you didn't even know where to go to find him. Surprisingly your focus on your studies decreased and you could care less, all you wanted was to know if he was okay. He was even gone from his classes so you built up the nerves to ask his roommate Kaveh what had happened. "Hey, umm, do you know what has happened to Alhaitham, I usually see him in the library but he hasn't shown up in a while." He looked at you surprised and replied, "Umm, yeah he got a bad cold and has been staying in the dorm, I was actually about to head back on check on him. Do you want to come with me?" You were not expecting that but you nodded and followed after him. Pretty soon you were at the door to their dorm and tried to calm your nerves. "Hey, uhh, Alhaitham I brought a guest for you," Kaveh said as he opened the door. You were greeted with a sick Alhaitham laying in bed, all sweaty and flushed. You blushed at the sight, not expecting him to look this vulnerable, and he smiled towards you. "I was missing your face," he said a bit out of it and you looked down at him shocked as he motioned for you to come closer. You did as he said and stood next to the bed as he looked up at you. This side of him was unexpected and almost cute, like a puppy. He grabbed your waist and hugged you, his head resting against your stomach, almost like a child looking for affection. You laughed in response and he then looked up at you again. "You like me, don't you?" He smirked as your face dropped. It hit you like a ton of bricks, the feeling was so obvious that you knew you were denying it, acknowledging it was the last thing you were planning to do. He smiled at your flushed face, "Good cause I like you." You smiled back not expecting that and he pulled you into a hug. ignore how i left kaveh standing in the corner of the room forgotten also hope you enjoy this and i in fact did not finish this before class, i wrote it during hehe so ignore any mistakes :)
My time to shine, we love a good rivals to lovers trope, gets me giggling and shi all the time, every time Btw, I was lazy to search up other languages, so I'll just use bold letters for that (not gendered) The Haravatat Darshan as a whole was holding back a deep breath for a while now. Two geniuses in one class, always at each others throat - one cold and distance-keeping, the other sassy but calm, well, most of the time. Alhaitham and Y/N. What caused the constant bickering between the two was a mystery since day one. Backhanded compliments, at least a few attempts to get a rise out of the other - the list goes on and on. Both of them knowing at least 20 languages just gave them an opportunity to use the most colorful insults under the sun, when they were in the mood to use more of their braincells than neccesary. Comparing test scores, finding the most ridiculus mistakes in each others projects made it seem like they hated each other - but the moment one of them got insulted, the other was the first to stand up for them. At this point, the whole Darshan felt the tension between them, not knowing what was it - hatred or passion? The best part of it being that even they didn't know. Sitting in the library, you glanced up from your book from time to time, just to see the Scribe a few tables away from you. Noise cancelling earpieces on, lost in a book once again. He looked so irritatingly peaceful and perfect like that. The way his hair fell in front of his face, how his whole posture relaxed as his eyes lazyly went over the words on the pages... How was it possible not to fall at least a little bit in love with him? He was beautiful, intelligent, logical, loyal, straightforward, mature, collected - literally every positive word in the dictionary. He was also the perfect partner for intelectual arguments and debats. Once again, what not to love? Well, only if he would see you as more than just an annoying classmate. Only if he saw something in you too. Realising that you got lost in thought and accidentally stared at him for a while, you returned your gaze to the book in front of you. No need to get caught, your pride couldn't take it, especially since your eyes would surely give away your secret feelings for the man. You were learning a new language, one that was hopefully unknown for the Scribe. You had to tell him somehow, without him actually understanding your confession. You were at it for months by now, making great progress. Your heartache being the best motivation to get over with it already. At this point you cried yourself to sleep numerous times because of the stress of not knowing his feelings, so it was urgent. Feeling your brain getting tired, you decided that it was enough for the day. Leaving the library with your notebook in hand, you saw the Scribe at the end of the hallway, speaking with a blonde man. Even from that distance you noticed the small smile adorning his features. A sour taste appeared in your mouth, feeling like you just got stabbed in the chest. By the time you arrived next to him, the other man already left, but the same smile stayed on his face. - *Please, don't be in love with someone else.* - you barely muttered those words under your breath, yet his attention turned to you immadiatelly. - *What do you mean by that Y/N?* - he asked back in the exact same ancient language. You froze in your steps. *He understood you. F*ck.* - *Nevermind, forget I said anything.* - *No, wait, please.* - *Just forget about it, it doesn't matter.* - *You said "Please, don't be in love with someone else." That sounds like something that matters* - *If you want to make fun of me, go ahead. Not like I can stop you, my dignity got hurt already.* - *Do you take me for a jerk like that?* - *No, but you aren't exactly easy to read, you know.* He stepped closer, stopping right in front of you. - *You on the other hand are pretty obvious. In the library I looked into your eyes at least 4 times and you didn't even realised it.* Your face burnt with shame as you turned your head away from him. Unexpectedly, he put his palm on your cheek and turned your face back to him. He had a calm and tender look in his eyes, like never before. - *Don't be like that, I start to miss your witty comebacks. Don't tell me the cat got your tongue.* He touched his forehead to yours, never breaking the eye contact. Hope and anticipation sparkled in both yours and his eyes. - *What are you doing Alhaitham?* - your voice barely stronger than a wishper. - *Something I should have done a long, long time ago. May I?* With a silent nod you granted his wish. His lips met yours within a second. You felt the anxiety leaving you as you melted into the kiss - it was slow, innocent yet still had that same passion that you two had for one another. It was perfect. When he pulled away, he still had that look in his eyes. - *You're starting to like me, aren't you?* You only laughed at his teasing as you pulled him into a tight hug. Finally, that almost unbearable weight was lifted from your shoulders. Finally, everything felt right and in place. His feelings revailed, having him in your embrace with his face nestling in the crook of your neck, one of his hands around your waist the other still on your face playing with a few strands of hair. ~Watch me self projecting at the "adoring my crush from a distance" part😂, also I may or may have not tried confessing in another language once😅 I have so many stories as a multilingual🥲
i used to have a lover who kept on sending me love letters in another language, this reminded me so much of my old relationship 🥺as always, thank you so much for the great read, Fanni 🥰
3:17 Something about Enchanted makes me want to cry. It makes me think of those lines that go, "You were a wonderful experince." "You were... everything." I think it's from Adventure Time.
I really felt this playlist because I wasnt one of the players who instantly fall in love with any new hot tall male character, slowly but surely he wormed his way into my mind and heart with his beautiful words and tsundere attitude. Alhaitham wouldve never admit how much he cares for people who he is close with but he shows it with his actions~ 🥰❤ He is more than just a hot man, give him more respect~♡

THIS IS SO ME PWHAHAHAHA #Mood
Frrrrr
I actually slowly fell in love with him. I had the wrong idea about him
GN Reader
Ever since you've enrolled into the Akademiya you've earned a rival in your class.

POV because I love to mess with people, hehe ❤
Grand Sage there, Grand sage that...
How typical of you."
"I apologise, Grand Sage. It seems like I wasted 2 min of your invaluable time today."
Even though your research is on the line, you couldn't hold back a snarky remark.
I would wish for us to keep this conversation on a professional level, especially with the Grand Sage."
His eyes quickly lit up with an emotion that you couldn't grasp, but you didn't bother about that for too long.
"Well, let's continue about what I actually came for. It's not like psychology is a useless topic. As you might see, my research focuses on how two different personality types react to stress situations and how they might interact with each other. This could help with how to group our soldiers, school classes..."
After you finished your presentation, you took a quick breath only to see Alhaitham staring at you intently. What is he trying to do here?
"You ask for quite a bit here. Your research would require a lot of resources that might be more useful for other matters. And I am uncertain if you are capable enough to manage them either. "
He then started to look at other documents that lay on his table, not even glancing at you again.
And there he is, putting your skills into question again. His indifferent demeanour and disinterest makes you clench your fist as you suddenly blurted something out.
"Then ask me any questions you have about my research topic and I will answer them with certainty you've never seen before."
He looks up as he directs his eyes to you again.
That's why it is important for me to conduct..."
Before you could even finish your sentece, he took your wrist only to slam your body onto the next wall.
And your eyes trying to avert me and looking for an escape seem like a good indication, or am I wrong."
"What are you doing! This isn't what I meant. Let go of me, this is..."
He chuckles (an unusual sound from him) as he responds.
"This is not a stressful enough situation, you mean. Ok, let me change that. "
With this incomprehensible look in his eyes, he took one of your hands and started to kiss it gently.
Every time you walk past me, there is this lingering feeling... of desire. I need you, now."
And with that, he pulles you close and kisses you. What are you doing? Why are you leaning in closer, grabbing his hair with the hand he just marked? Your thoughts are spinning. I need him to stop, or do I really want him to.
As you both broke off the kiss, the feeling still lingering on your lips, you whispered something in his ear.
"So, is this your reaction to stress when I'm around... lust."
He quickly becomes red after he feels your breath.
First of all, how would you react if I do this."
He lowers his head down to your neck, having his breath, sending shivers down your spine. Licking a sensitive spot of yours sensually before biting down on it. You gasped for air as he bit down harder. Your hands grip him hard on his back as you try not to let a moan escape.
"Don't hide your cute sounds, or that would falsify the results, or do I need to leave a mark somewhere lower to get a true reaction."
You... I swear if what happens here comes out, I will make sure that you never see any light again after I buried you alive."
"So this how you react in a stressful situation with me... played anger. Don't worry, we will continue this study for as long as we reached some conclusive results, even if this means that you won't be able to walk out if this building straight."
His eyes are filled with a dark gloom and lust, which makes your knees shaky.
This didn't go to bad as you expected. Hell this is even better than you could have imagined. The Grand Sage helping you to "conduct your study". It may not be too bad that it is him, who is going to absolutely destr...
"Darling, where are your thoughts running off to. Focuse on me. I would love to see how you react when I bite down on your thighs."
As he lowered his head down to your most sensitive parts your body heated up from the anticipation.
"Well, I hope you don't have any plans after this. We need to do a couple of rounds so we have useful "results" even when it may cause your entire body to be sore tomorrow."
"Don't disappoint me, darling."
This was so good!!!
this reminds me of thed book the love hypothesis
THE TRANSITION BETWEEN EYES OFF YOU AND DOUBLE TAKE IS SO SMOOTH WTF
(TW: A few swear words, but pretty much it. Enjoy I guess.)
-It wasn’t a question of when, but more of a how.
*What the hell?*
How can they say that when you, yourself, weren’t sure of your relationship with him?
*Even to this day, you still didn’t know.*
“I hate you so much.”
You said to him one day in response to his bullshit of a theory that you couldn’t disprove as you were absentmindedly reaching over for a cup of liquor. Curse your own self for trying to challenge him once more without any backup plan. Tighnari had dragged you over a get-together with them and of course, *he was there.*
“Harder then,” Alhaitham encouraged you with that stupid neutral tone of his, rather than responding to you normally. He then added swimmingly, “You don’t even seem like you’re trying.”
You gritted with a huff, “Watch me.”
*Do you even mean that?*
“This is getting rather boring, don’t you think?
*Now, why exactly were you easily affected by that?*
“It’s no different still.” You cleared your throat, being the first to look away as you managed to get a hold of a cup of water instead, its rim against your lips as you murmured, “Nothing’s changed.”
*Fuck,* since when were you the first to look away? Where was the determined inner you that never backed down from any dispute? You were still opposed in every way to him, and there was no way you ever wanted him to feel a triumph over you. But once again, he’s able to leave you speechless when he said-
“Ah, but you’re starting to like me, aren’t you?”
Out came bits of water, your mouth trying with all of its might not to completely spit what you've drank as you lightly choked.
…They go to hell…. bad… *vvvvvvery* bad…."
"Kaveh, what the fuck, no, you’re not supposed to back him up," You pleaded somehow, feeling betrayed that he was now on the other's side.
And you still tried to save your face by saying, “Besides, if anything, you hate me.”
At that, Alhaitham slyly smiled, although it was almost hard to tell as his expression had always been impassive.
And you're stumped once more as he whispered, his warm breath against your knuckles, “Now, when did I ever say that?”
He doesn't say more, and he let your hand go before you could even speak as he then walked out of the inn, acting like he did nothing. You could hear Tighnari and Cyno snickering from behind you over Kaveh's snores but that's besides the point.
*What was that for-?*
This is one of the best stories I have ever read ♾️/10

[EMBERS OF RIVALRY: A SLOW BURN CONNECTION]
POV
In a bustling city, you and Alhaitham found yourselves as classmates in a prestigious university.
"But I can't deny the growing admiration I have for your intellect and determination."
Your lips curved into a wry smile.
Our rivalry has pushed me to be better, and for that, I can't help but feel a certain connection."
You took a step closer, the air charged with anticipation. "Funny how competition can lead to understanding," you mused, studying him intently. "I've come to appreciate your intellect and dedication too, Alhaitham. It's refreshing to find someone who challenges me."
A small smile tugged at the corner of Alhaitham's lips. "Likewise, Y/N, You've shown me perspectives I hadn't considered before. Our debates have opened my mind to new possibilities."
As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, your relationship with Alhaitham evolved.
"You know," you began, your voice filled with a mix of hesitation and anticipation, "I never thought I'd enjoy spending time with my rival."
Alhaitham's eyes sparkled with warmth as he regarded you. "Funny how life surprises us, isn't it? Our rivalry may have brought us together, but it's our shared interests and understanding that have kept us connected."
A soft smile played on your lips. "I suppose there's more to people than what we initially see. And sometimes, the people who challenges us the most can end up being the ones who understand us the best, or the people we clash with the most can become the ones you cherish the most."
As the words hung in the air, there was a brief pause, a moment filled with unspoken emotions and feelings.
"That... that was unexpected."
Alhaitham's gaze held a mixture of tenderness and amusement. "I couldn't resist," he admitted, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "There's something undeniably captivating about you, Y/N. Our rivalry may have sparked the fire, but it's the moment we've shared that made me realize that there's more between us."
Your heartbeat echoed in your ears as you tried to compose yourself, your cheeks still flushed. "I never thought our rivalry would lead to this," you confessed, your voice tinged with a mix of wonder and excitement. "But I'm glad it did."
Alhaitham reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "Me too, Y/N. Sometimes, the most unexpected connections can turn out to be the most meaningful one."
As you stood there, under the cherry blossom tree, a newfound sense of warmth enveloped you both. The world seemed to hold its breath, as if acknowledging the beginning of something extraordinary.
And as you walked hand in hand, the future stretched out before you, filled with shared dreams, and a love that had blossomed from the unlikeliest of beginnings.
End.

pov for all you lovelies
you thought that coming to the akademiya would be smooth sailing, all of your life school came easy to you and you were always proudest to be number one. it placated your parents and the fighting at home stopped for a few days when they saw you were number one on your report cards. it was almost like your survival tactic, so when you got a scholarship to attend the akadamiya you jumped at the opportunity to leave monstadt and leave that house.
a change of pace was what you needed, what you wanted. however, it didn't come as easy as you thought. the competition at the akademiya was much more intense than you ever thought. in your class there was another boy who was the top of the class, you were jealous and felt as if your spot was stolen. you knew it was superficial and stupid but that was all you knew, being number one was your safety net and your survival. you spent countless sleepless nights in the library studying to maintain your number two spot, and even that was not easy, but you were not the only one, he was always there as well.
Poor kaveh lol Underrated. You write very well, I will wait hoping you will write part 2.
My time to shine, we love a good rivals to lovers trope, gets me giggling and shi all the time, every time
Btw, I was lazy to search up other languages, so I'll just use bold letters for that
(not gendered)
The Haravatat Darshan as a whole was holding back a deep breath for a while now.
F*ck.*
- *Nevermind, forget I said anything.*
- *No, wait, please.*
- *Just forget about it, it doesn't matter.*
- *You said "Please, don't be in love with someone else." That sounds like something that matters*
- *If you want to make fun of me, go ahead. Not like I can stop you, my dignity got hurt already.*
- *Do you take me for a jerk like that?*
- *No, but you aren't exactly easy to read, you know.*
He stepped closer, stopping right in front of you.
- *You on the other hand are pretty obvious. In the library I looked into your eyes at least 4 times and you didn't even realised it.*
Your face burnt with shame as you turned your head away from him. Unexpectedly, he put his palm on your cheek and turned your face back to him. He had a calm and tender look in his eyes, like never before.
- *Don't be like that, I start to miss your witty comebacks. Don't tell me the cat got your tongue.*
He touched his forehead to yours, never breaking the eye contact. Hope and anticipation sparkled in both yours and his eyes.
- *What are you doing Alhaitham?* - your voice barely stronger than a wishper.
- *Something I should have done a long, long time ago. May I?*
With a silent nod you granted his wish. His lips met yours within a second. You felt the anxiety leaving you as you melted into the kiss - it was slow, innocent yet still had that same passion that you two had for one another. It was perfect.
When he pulled away, he still had that look in his eyes.
- *You're starting to like me, aren't you?*
You only laughed at his teasing as you pulled him into a tight hug. Finally, that almost unbearable weight was lifted from your shoulders. Finally, everything felt right and in place. His feelings revailed, having him in your embrace with his face nestling in the crook of your neck, one of his hands around your waist the other still on your face playing with a few strands of hair.

I really felt this playlist because I wasnt one of the players who instantly fall in love with any new hot tall male character, slowly but surely he wormed his way into my mind and heart with his beautiful words and tsundere attitude. Alhaitham wouldve never admit how much he cares for people who he is close with but he shows it with his actions~ 🥰❤
He is more than just a hot man, give him more respect~♡
