Oh my gosh, did this bring back happy childhood memories! I loved this show so much along with Happy Days. I remember either one Christmas or birthday I got the Laverne & Shirley board game. Me and my best friend would act out our favorite scenes, I was always Laverne. I always thought in my little child brain that Laverne & Leonard would get married and live happily ever after. I don't remember how the show ended, it was so many years ago, but I wish one of the networks would start replaying this show and Happy Days. They just don't make good shows like they use to!

@@donnaleeclubb119 made no sense why they did that to begin with other than to maybe improve the ratings. The show was #1 in the ratings for almost three straight seasons until season 5 (1979-1980)when ABC made the asinine decision to move it from Tuesday night to Thursday so ‘Angie’ could take its Tuesday night slot . Ratings for ‘L & S’ plunged. Then ABC moved it to Mondays I believe before moving it back to its Tuesday night slot.

One of my favourite sitcoms of the 70s, the cast was perfect, and Penny and Cindy were brilliant at physical comedy Fav episode when the girls try to run a diner with little or no experience, never tire of that episode. Betty pick up please! LOL! and attention, attention, lucky lucky, for the next ten minutes everything comes with pancakes! Another fav episode when the girls join the army, Vicky Lawrence from the Carol Burnett show, was brilliant as Sargent Lavina Plout.

One of my favorite episodes was when Jay Leno guest starred as a guy that Laverne was interested in but he thought she wasn't feminine enough so Shirley tried to teach her how to be "girly." Shirley screaming," A cockroach! " Laverne steps on then realizes she is suppose to be scared too and says,"Joey, do something! " He says,"What do you want me to do? Scrap it off your shoe?"😂😂😂😂

Saw Pippin twice and got lots of Eddie photos and autographs and even a bootleg cassette recording of Pippin. I even had a t-shirt made with a photo of him and me! NO!!
If they did we may not have had Michael's talents for Conehead's, Airheads, The Brady Bunch movie, Spinal Tap and all the rest. A spinoff might have killed his career if the series had not done well. So...
It was a blessing in disguise.

Cindy did a movie called "The First Nudie Musical", and McKean did one episode of The Nanny with Fran Drescher, as C.C's brother, WHICH may not be a surprise, as they had already worked together in Spinal Tap.

I remember Cindy Williams starred a short lived TV show in the mid 80s called "Cindy" and Michael McKeon playing the dad in the movie "D.A.R.Y.L." I thought it was brilliant that Penny & Cindy had in their contracts that whatever one gets, the other gets too and if one of them leaves the show, the other gets double. That is why their names are the way they are in the opening credits and it was a compromise to fulfill their contracts to give them both top billing.
