Bought one new for 50% the price by mid 2020, when Huawei-USA thing was well known and nobody wanted Huawei devices anymore, despite the Nova 5t having Google. Still have it today since remains pretty fast and works fine, I can't see a justification to buy a replacement. Today has the same "problems" it had at day one: battery not so great, low screen brightness under the sun, loudspeaker a bit weak. Add to that the lack of updates, EMUI 13 never came and Android 10 forever. Still a perfectly good phone 4'5 years after launch.
Still using it to play mlbb and codm. No issues since 2019, the only thing i don't like is the screen and the low sound when not using earphones/headset
I have red lines on my phone and had to charge twice a day. bought this phone last dec. 2019 it's still alive and kicking. if there is a good price for screen and battery replacement, i would jump right on it.

I have this too since 2019 and use it as my secondary phone. This phone is special to me and the ui is so simple compared to other android phones making you not so overwhelmed when you are also using an iPhone.
I used it for 2 years as my main phone, then another 3 years later and I still use it as my Pokémon Go phone haha, It is still just as quick and doesn't struggle with gaming or heavier use. The battery isn't great but it is 5 years old. Fantastic phone and its cheap

brought it since release and still using it until now my battery is almost dead im not planning of changing the battery really im just waiting for the phone to die but since released never had any issue with my phone except the battery all and all its good compared to the phones thats are releasing so far
The processor of this phone is still 7nm which is a bit old and suppose to be power hungry but the phose has a great software that make this phone last very long.

That's my phone now' 2024 is work it 🥰👌 bcoz I use nova 5t for gaming to CALL OF Duty mobile actually my phone is have something damage on screen like black ink something but the touch is work it also no ghost touch but have something problem now to my phone like a hang to apps sometimes not responsive to open bcoz of hang to phone. That why I need to restart my phone to refreshing that' it's overall is good to use for me

was shopping for sub 100 phone to use for work (drone, remove view cameras etc) mostly crappy 700x1600 res no brand phones with 3gb ram , then spotted this refurb for £80, result.
Why my Huawei nova 5T was lagging I always getting fps drop I don't know the reason but that's because of EMUI 12 OR NOT please help me to get out of this lag😢

got my Huawei 5t last Feb 2020. battery is still superb! didn't encounter any problem!
It worth it. I can still make quality videos using it. I bought it 2019 and its still working pretty well.

I dont think ita a good idea to get it repaired. It will get broken again eventually. Buying a new phone will give you new excitement.

You can't demand an ip rating for mid range phone especially nova 5t released in 2019 which that time flagship phones only has ip rating

Go for a flagship phone. Ip14 or 15 pro max, samsung s23 or 24 ultra. Google pixel 8 pro otherwise you will not feel that you have an upgrade.
s23 or iphone 13 (pretty similar in price). No midrange phone is way better than nova 5t atm
