      Exactly Tonya! As viewers, our part in supporting the VMF is more important than ever! Many of us fell in love with Kyle's smile, and appreciate all that he has done, more than he'll ever know. Now we have an opportunity to show Kyle, the VMF, Dave, Josie, along with the staff and volunteers how much we enjoy seeing these babies, by keeping the channel going strong.

    I am so fascinated with the sound of their voice and the multitones they are able to produce in their distress call. I love the sound, actually, even though it might mean something unpleasant for them.

    Thanks for keeping us posted. I found it interesting how the monkeys go through a separation anxiety in the beginning. So much for these little guys. Thanks for showing us the care on Skippy's wound on his foot. I hope the foot will heal well. Time will tell. It's interesting to see the areas that you have had to travel to acquire these little guys. It was so cute to see how the little one fell asleep on you on the drive home. I loved when your voice relaxed during conversations interactions between you and the worker about the monkeys and in certain segments when you were showing the little ones at Disneyland. Thanks for everything you and the workers do there at VMF.

    Poor little baby Maddok. Was he enjoying the trip in the car at all. He looked very curious.
    I think Skippy won the Cuteness competitiion. Older boy Mitch after he had his banana sure
    figured out who the Alpha Male was in the car haha.
    Dave it had never occurred to me that these babies many times are being taken from their families twice.
    The first from their natural mom and troop and second from the human family that had first taken them in.
    Bless you and your foundation volunteers for giving these beautiful creatures a good chance to grow up
    in a safe place and to become the monkey they were meant to be.

    Dave, I love how you keep the focus on the monkeys. This was a great video. I enjoyed Kyle...he was entertaining but I found my self getting involved in the workers instead of the monkeys a lot. It is all a learning thing and Kyle is young and will learn what is good and what is not as good as he keeps working. These monkeys are so precious. I watch different kinds of monkeys but enjoy these particular ones the most...their personalities. If I was healthier and younger, I would apply to be a volunteer. • @TheShiftersMusic
      @TheShiftersMusic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Technically it's not illegal federally to own one as long as it's bought from a certified breeder or broker inside the US. It's illegal to import them to keep as pets. However, every state has different laws about what types of monkeys you can own, what type of requirements you will have to meet, and some require you to hold a license for certain primates. Then you will need to check your local/city ordinances about housing the little guy. Some cities do not allow it or have strict rules about how they are housed and what type of enclosures they have. Honestly, it sounds like alot, but it's to deter people who are highly unqualified from owning monkeys and mistreating them. Honestly, they are such social creatures that I kinda feel like it would be cruel to just have one monkey raised alone in captivity. They do best when they can be rescued by a service like this and raised in a social environment with other monkeys and be in the most wildlife like enclosure possible. Don't get me wrong, there are some awesome human parents to monkey pets in the US, however, unless there is no other option, monkeys should not be caged up in someone's home for the duration of their 30+ years on this planet. However, you could check with any facilities in your area and look into the requirements of becoming a foster mom, who would only care for the babies them temporarily until they are able to be moved to a sanctuary or something.

      @@guylenetaylor3011 I totally understand! I think I see so much of human babies in these baby monkeys. I'd give anything to be able to provide a snuggle and some care for these little guys. People are always arguing that animals don't have emotions and blah blah blah, but I don't know. These monkey babies clearly express human-like emotions to me. Maybe I'm crazy. I'd love to have one. It really makes you realize just how connected we are to a lot of different types of monkey. Sometimes I can watch their faces and literally be following exactly what they are thinking and feeling at the moment. Soo precious. The thoughts of people abusing them and hurting them makes me sick.

    • @VervetMonkey

      All depends on the age from 8 months there may be a possibility depending on maturity as in most cases we dont know if the mom survived and in that case the little one wont get milk and would starve to death, from around 8 or so months they eat solids aswell as milk so chances are higher
