I’ve been watching all reviews on them . Beautiful bikes which are hard to get hold of now been trying to get one for months . I used to have a 2011 model the last 2 stroke ever made and I miss it dearly I think about it every day being in your own world hitting that powerband every gear is a feeling I need to experience again , I had 101mph out of mine

No way this is my old bike! I Brought it from cornwall with 900Miles on the clock!, it was mint mate glad to see its been looked after, Hope you enjoy all the the littles bits i did to it! haha The Wheels were orginal Black i had them done, + The chain and sporcket kit the R n G Crash bars! OMG I miss this so much! Hope your enjoying it! ride safe

Unless it says fp 08 on the log book it isn’t full power, I’ve had 3 or these bikes, I’ve had the same set up on all three , this bike in the video is a restricted bike that’s been derestricted, my bike does 114mph with 17/40 sprockets/ 28mm delly carb/ piper cross air filter/ v force 3 reeds/ and a full arrow exhaust system (titanium) unlike this bike in the video it’s just an end can :) hopes this helped everyone oh and I forgot to mention the rave valve and racing cdi/ecu
The way you're talking about the performance makes it sound like that's derestricted, and that would be naughty on L plates, but I used to do the same so I'd be a hypocrite to criticise.

i got my rs125 spain's no 1 edition (full power from factory) it had 2 980 miles last year (december 2014) and i had 5 -6 time engine taken out and rebuild (mechanic did them), main bearings, frok seals, new gearbox, gaskets and engine seals. i am surprised how people say "i had no problems with it". and now i am about to order a new piston with rings ...

These newer models dont do as well as the older ones... Ive got an rs 125 1999, now that thing is powerful, ive managed 120mph and there was still space to go! Anyway i live around box hill, leatherhead, would be really great to go out for some rides!

Very different, you can feel the difference, i rode 3 bikes: Honda CBF125, Yamaha YZF-R125, Aprilia RS 125 and the 2 stroke Aprilia is way faster than those, or any 4 stroke 125.

I previously had the RS50 and the 2Stroke powerband is so addictive! I'm considering getting the Rs125 or a similar bike maybe as a weekend toy or commuter depending on a few factors. What speed would the bike be able to do in 6th gear at 7k rpm (below the powerband). Also what was the top speed of this bike? Love all of your videos, keep them up :D
+Ross RS Hi Ross, if I remember correctly the bike went around 70 in 6th Gear 7krpm but as soon as you hit 8krpm it shoots off top speed I had 97mph which was with a larger rear sprocket geared for acceleration. I wouldn't recommend one for commuting due to poor mpg, expensive 2 stroke oil, expensive service intervals and lack of low down torque makes it not so practical compared to a 4 stroke but as a weekend toy great choice for a 125 due to its speed, acceleration and sporty handling, not for the taller riders however i'm 5 foot 8 and it was a tight fit!

People say that 2 strokes are unrealiable. That is if you max tune it and ride it like a maniac. The restricted 2 stroke aprilia is just as reliable as the YZF for example. The unrestricted is also. It's when you start tuning it things go wrong.
+V3VANG In my opinion it's not worth getting an Aprillia Restricted as you miss out on half the fun but are going to have to take the risk of more frequent rebuilds, smiles per gallon :)
Unrestricted without mods is quite reliable as long as you use good oil and let it warm up. Restricted ones are not only slow but foul plugs and always have trouble holding idle.

£200-250 in parts for a piston and cylinder kit. Personally I would not recommend a 2 stroke bike for daily use or touring in comparison to a 4 stroke :)
hey you got rave valve? I can give u full parts list to full power these bikes mind it's not easy it's like 30 parts to full power them and a new carb and rave unit and ecu most restrictions on ecu this is y bike won't rev past 10k rpm until this bike is full power it's not the real deal

are you sure it's opening fully or jetted properly, geared properly? is should be doing well over 100mph. I've had a few of the older shape. Did they de tune the engine at all in the later models int h interest of reliability? it should be at around 30+bhp? Or are you a very big lad?
+matthew redrup In England, yes Provided you have a valid CBT, insurance, tax, mot and display L plates you can ride the rs125 the moment you turn 17 as long as its restricted ;)

The levers are a carbon copy which can be purchased on ebay aswell as the motorcycle grips :)

Technically it has to be restricted to 15bhp but my aprillia was around 26bhp! :) I mean 15 officer...

that would be painfull especially for road riding! However when the oil pumps fail a lot of people tend to pre mix their fuel
