- The Tibetan folk opera, "Sukyi Nyima" ("As Radiant As the Sun") was performed to a packed, enthusiastic audience at Emory University's Cannon Chapel on April 6, 2013. Religious themes and romantic intrigue blended together in a fantastic display of sound -- drums and voices -- and color from the spectacular costumes and masks.

All them loud colors & the big masks make me think I'm watching something African or American Indian, but the patterned silk brings it back to Asia. Crazy how some cultures, thousands of miles apart, have so many things similar! God bless
Oh my late had seen this opara so many times that she could tell this story in detail . This opara made me miss my mother. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR PRESENTING THIS SHOW.
