One of the easiest videos I’ve seen to follow on motor repair. Thanks for taking the time to share your skills!!

Good, clear, and complete. It gave info I needed. My motor was hard to lift. I used a floor jack. It seemed to have a compression lock; it would lift up the whole boat when locked, then pressure would release and it would be easy again. The pressure release screw seemed to tighten up with pressure. Your description to back the screw out 2.5 turns might be what I needed to do. Thanks.

Wow! So I'm sitting here with this dilemma, my motor parked over winter in lower position and I need to bring in out for my boat mechanic, batteries are dead. So to move it, I need to raise the motor manually, SURELY there must be a way to do this, and SURELY there must be a YT video? And here I am. DUDE. THANK YOU. I'm a new subscriber. I mean, seriously, great education lesson here.

Tilt motor gave out while we were out on the water and didn’t realize until we pulled anchor. Thank your for saving us from a bad case scenario

Great video excellent explanation. Luckily, my motor was already stuck in the upright position so all I had to do was swap the trim motor and I was able to run the wiring also because it’s just a 115 but thank you so much for your help. We all really appreciate it.

Appreciate the video. Big help! Add tightening manual screw after you lower motor to run wiring before you power back up. Thank you!

Quick tip. If trim switch goes out 12v to blue wire motor goes up 12v to green wire motor goes down. Green like grass blue like sky

Gotcha. Assuming the motor is good and the relay died?

My 84 doesn’t even have trim. It’s old school!!! And a bitch to get it up and down at the lake. Plus my lift locks on the side’s broke off . Try to get the shaft out to replace
