Funny how the human mind works. I didn’t bat an eye when RT mass-murders an entire map in Hitman, yet I felt very uncomfortable when he force-fed a Bugsnak to Gramble while he was asleep. That just felt wrong to me. Is it just me being weird?
Nope, not weird at all. You get to know the characters in Bugsnax, and because of that, you care about them, maybe even sympathize with them. In Hitman, you know nothing about most of the people there, so you can't really form an attachment. Perfectly normal human stuff :)

He was right that the Grumpanati had some sort of connection to Bugsnax (maybe it was formed by other people who managed to escape Snaktooth Island?) He was right that Bugsnax were created specifically to taste good and get eaten He was right that there was a factory under the island (although he was probably thinking mechanical factory, I'll give it to him) He was right that Lizbert, the Earthquakes, and the Snax Shortage were all connected. I find it fascinating that he was right about everything

Fun Fact: there is a video where the developers of Bugsnax watch a speedrun of it and were super chill about the game breaking. They even said that there was an (at the time) undiscovered trick that the speedrunners hadn't found.

Floofty left due to other reasons and still doesn't know it was the Grumpinati which is why they still think Snorpy is out of his mind, and 2. The fact that you have to eat them raw and that ribblepedes don't have bones makes it all the more disturbing with the bugsnax that look like cans since you eat them whole. Are they rubbery? Brittle like a chocolate coating?
RT's a good person, yeah! The way RT plays certain games reminds me a bit of how I play certain games. It's like punching a pillow. It's better to take your rage out on fictional one dimensional characters in a video game where you play as a bald dude with a bar code on his neck then on real people

This game having a Polish translation as is is rare, and the fact that as special thanks they put the Polish website about explaining pronouns (usually used by nb people to explain non-standard pronouns to refer to them) in the game credits made me smile. They/them pronouns don't always get properly translated into Polish so I'm glad that the translators went an extra mile to make sure Floofty is done justice.
This is like my 15th time watching through all the Bugsnax vods RT has made, and I’m here to ask how tf do they keep getting better each time I watch them??? 😭 I’m 99.9% sure that I just have an addiction to the vods at this point. Honestly, it's not an uncommon theme in sci-fi short stories. In fact, " explorers find paradise with non-threatening creatures, who discover that eating the creatures turns people INTO the creatures(after it is too late)" is the exact premise in a short story in this 1950s sci-fi anthology book I have. I know there are more recent examples, but my mind is blanking on that.

the beginning got me feeling so high istg so i woke up in the middle of the day after having been passed out for like 4 hours from sleep deprivation and I click off of Hitman 3 part 11 to watch more bugsnax and arrive to hearing some weird song about how good bugsnax were and then out of nowhere listening to Jerma talking. I dont do drugs, but im pretty sure my utter bewilderment can only be summed up to "man this must be what it feels like to be high"
From my understanding, its both The bad ending is if you fail the ending sequence. Doing all the side quests of a person prevents that person from dying (they won't eat the snanx at the end sequence). Its still possible to suceed without doing all the quests, its just not as easy.

This is like my 15th time watching through all the Bugsnax vods RT has made, and I’m here to ask how tf do they keep getting better each time I watch them??? 😭 I’m 99.9% sure that I just have an addiction to the vods at this point.
But I guess that just shows how good and entertaining this darn game is. The rewatch-ability of these vods is absolutely insane and they have given me HOURS of entertainment over the past 2 years 💀

Bugsnax should be the blueprint for how to do gay and nonbinary characters. Literally, until I watched this stream. I had no idea floofty was nb. Which, in actuality. Is wonderful, because most of the time. Hack writers have a gay or nb character and that's it. Though, in bugsnax. They just, happen to be gay or nb as well. The rep in this game is amazingly made.

And the chat's response was not the greatest. Continually berating the man for making an innocent mistake is a terrific way to make someone feel like they shouldn't care, because caring will lead to them getting bullied even if it was just an accident. So if they don't care and don't pay attention to someone's pronouns, the berating won't upset them. Like, RT apologised a lot and was clearly sincere, keeping on going was not great of chat.

Honestly, it's not an uncommon theme in sci-fi short stories. In fact, " explorers find paradise with non-threatening creatures, who discover that eating the creatures turns people INTO the creatures(after it is too late)" is the exact premise in a short story in this 1950s sci-fi anthology book I have. I know there are more recent examples, but my mind is blanking on that.

so i woke up in the middle of the day after having been passed out for like 4 hours from sleep deprivation and I click off of Hitman 3 part 11 to watch more bugsnax and arrive to hearing some weird song about how good bugsnax were and then out of nowhere listening to Jerma talking.
I dont do drugs, but im pretty sure my utter bewilderment can only be summed up to "man this must be what it feels like to be high"

From my understanding, its both
The bad ending is if you fail the ending sequence. Doing all the side quests of a person prevents that person from dying (they won't eat the snanx at the end sequence). Its still possible to suceed without doing all the quests, its just not as easy.
I really enjoyed this and the game is hilariously disturbing. I'm not gonna show it to my younger cousins either though
