I remember watching a Lucy Hale interview from a few years ago (around 2019 or 2020 or so) and she mentioned that she LOVES Snow White and that would be a dream role for her. IF Lucy Hale gets the role, she's going to rock hard as Snow White and will give that role 100% of her energy. Lucy Hale would be awesome as Snow White.

The race swapping doesnt bother me, but Snow White is suppose to be well, Snow White! It's in the name. Even so, It's all the LBGT stuff disney is sneaking into the movie. I don't want my child to be progrmmed by a souless corporation who has gone morally bankrupt.

I can not agree more. As much as I loved how he portrait Tyrion in Got, at least in the earlier seasons, Dinklage just showed how much of a joke he really is with his double standards regarding other dwarfs being type cast.
The difrerence between GoT and Snow White is the stereotypes used in writing the characters. I'm not sure how much he knows about the animated disney movie since he claimed the dwarfs live in a cave together (which they do not, though they do live in a secluded cottage and are miners) but it seems like he's against the portrayal of little people as (or similarly as) the mythical being dwarf (which in itself may or may not have been created or influenced with ill intent towards little people). HOWEVER, Peter Dinklage have played at least one role like this before in Narnia: Prince Caspian. He might have changed his mind since then, but... yeah. I think he needs to be clearer with what exactly he finds problematic with disney's Snow White since disney clearly has no clue.

I'm wondering what's going to happen when Wish comes out and it flops, as all indications point to. Two major big budget flops that close together? Investors may put up with a little nonsense, but when you start losing them 100s of million dollars repeatedly, their tolerance drops off a cliff.
Real problem at Disney is the top leadership, not the actors. They're focusing on symptoms, not causes. Every top leader from Iger on down needs to be fired and replaced with someone who recognizes what made Disney special all these decades.

This was being said of Lucy Hale years ago when a particular Halloween special of Pretty Little liars was aired where her character Aria was dressed as Snow White. The resemblance was absolutely striking! She has one of the most beautiful faces I've seen on an actress in a long time. She kinda reminds of old Hollywood actresses like Gene Tierney or Hedy Lamar. She seems very sweet too.

I really wanted to watch the new hunger games movie but I changed my mind when I realized she was in it.
I saw the ballad of songbirds and snakes an hour ago. Trust me, go into it with an open mind and you’ll be glad you stepped into that theatre. Maybe to get yourself more hyped you can binge the audiobook first if you haven’t already. It helped me to see Lucy Gray as Lucy Gray when her character came onscreen, if that makes sense. Anyway, it was absolutely worth the watch.

Can we all remember that Snowwhite is a tale of a young girl running away from a home that endangers her safety, finds 7 dwarf stepdads, yes they ask her to do chores but in her situation it is good to keep her safe at home when everyone has to work and can't stay behind to watch her.
They also DO caution her about stranger danger and she gets manipulated as young kids do, into not fully regarding the advice 3 times.
Seriously, 2 times the dwarfs manage to safe her from what happened as well. Showing the people who care about you will do what they can, but if ya don't listen: Ya might get into a situation where they CAN'T help you.
Like many fairytales: They were meant to show the very harsh reality from back then of making mistakes. Why ya think they were so gruesome?
They didn't know how else to teach their kids: This can end REALLY badly.

The "marry and live happily ever after" trope is in many folklore and tales a way to find a end to a story. Maybe because people like the idea of not ending alone in a story.
What turned me off so hard was Rachel's attitude. Snow white was no girl boss or leader. She was a innocent teen girl, who was postive, kind and caring even when her life has not been kind to her. She does not give up and keeps trying to live as happily as she could. That is such a strong characteristic. To show such strength in the face of adversity. And that's what I loved about her.
But showing such hateful attitude towards the original, making such rude comments about her co-star, being so entitled, it is gross. I don't want to see such a person playing snow white. Any actress would do, brett Cooper, Kirsten Stewart, Lucy Hale, or even Mackenzie Foy, anyone who has respect and love for the original and shows proper respect to the series! I don't understand what message does disney wants to push by making SW some leader? The original already has a good message. They could have just tweaked it a bit to make it a bit 21st century like they did with Cinderella
This is why I put all my faith and attention from Disney's Snow White to the Daily Wire's. No political motivations, just passion and care for the original story.
Lucy Hale would be an upgrade.If they recast Rachel with Lucy all Disney would have to do is change the script & get dwarf actors. Even if Disney sticks with CGI dwarfs, they could at least make them smaller instead of keeping them as balloon sized characters that belong in the Macy's Day Parade.

Rachel is amazing as a singer & actor, and i think that she would kill snow white. Sorry that she doesnt fit into the disney stereotype but she deserves the role. But Honestly im so sick and tired of disney in general. Its lost the magic and their movies continue to get more and more disappointing.

As a former tour guide at WB, I was fortunate to have a tremendous amount of interaction with the talent over the years and I’m happy to say that included Lucy Hale during the Pretty Little Liars years. Though the show PLL dragged on for years without focus and a couple of highly underwhelming reveals, the talent was really gracious. Whether it was Troian, Ash Benzo, Shay, Lucy, Ian Harding, Brant, Brendon or Chad Lowe I ended up with a treasure trove of memories where I got to introduce my thrilled tour guests to these actors and it amounted to a lot of gratitude and joy. I even ran into Lucy at the bank one day and she signed my Pretty Little Liars rap lyric sheet. That rap tribute is on TH-cam if you want to hear it. Point is, Lucy rocks!

I worked for WB too during those days (or maybe a little before, 2007-2010). When actors were more appreciative of their fans and the properties they were building up. ….. back when the were WINNING. My favorite person hands down was Kristen Chenoweth when they were making Pushing Daisies, she literally would come up to you and just be the nicest most pleasant person. There were though a few, I won’t name, that you would stay clear of once you knew them.

I do not see anything wrong with Rachael Zegler portraying Snow White at all for she is a fine actress who is strong and talented too... And just because Zegler is part Coloumbian does not mean that she is unsuited to play the role of Snow White.

If Dizzyknees had wanted to send a strong social message, they could have made the dwarves social underdogs and Snow White promising to change things for them when she became queen. That would have been a strong, poignant and actually empowering moment in so many ways, not woke and still in keeping with the themes of love and friendship.

I don't know about the original story but in the Disney cartoon movie, the dwarfs were successful diamond miners. They seemed to live pretty normal lives other than living in the middle of nowhere (which was near their work so that makes sense)
The dwarfs didn't live in a cave. They mining the diamonds in the cave and when the day is over they go home to the cottage they live near their mines. So no they don't live in a cave. actually, Disney's problem is the idea that you have to be inclusive of everyone except white people. It's a racist ideal that's been perpetrated by this woke culture. It has nothing to do with story structure, and Disney has actually killed star wars because of it, and is dismantling the MCU due to not focusing on story structure, and instead focusing on inclusivity instead of which actor/actress best portrays the given role. Just watch the force awakens, with it's mary sue character of Rey, or the MCU and the marvels, which has no story structure at all. If your character cannot overcome a real obstacle, then there is no story.
Hopefully zegler is out of the movie industry, as she's more interested in pushing a corrupt ideology than what actually benefits story structure.

For most of female protoganists in Disney movies there in story structure at all, when they make her perfect with no struggles at all and at the same time absolutely powerful with nobody being chance against them at all and this already ruins the chance for the movie to be exciting to watch and it will be even worse to watch, if the main female hero has obnoxious prideful personality where she thinks she is the best just, because she was born as woman, like four billion other humans on earth.

To me Snow White is about love of friends, animals, home, and that certain someone. Snow White faced great danger and survived due to the power of love. If a Snow White remake doesn't affirm the value of love in every scene then it isn't Snow White.

Speaking as a German myself, being educated in Germany and speaking the language, I found it incredibly offensive to put so much emphasis on diversity in a German folk story. The same emphasis on diversity was ignored in Wakanda forever... Diversity is only considered when it involves eliminating white actors. Movies are made for fans. If movies alienate existing fans and fail to draw new fans, they will be flops. When directors, producers and actors blame "toxic" fans for flops, they ignore their own shortcomings.
I understand what you're saying, being Italian and let's say seeing that Pinocchio was set in Switzerland with all the other changes Americans always do felt weird, and not respectful🇮🇹🤥...but for them it's normal, since they don't care about their EU roots and our folklore, the focus is their specific Hollywood little bubble and "diverse people" (those ones they like of course, the others don't count LOL).
Therefore it is what it is, and if we want movies more faithful to our original tales we'll have to produce them by ourselves next.😉🇪🇺🎞️💙

I don't care which way you feel. Whether you love Disney or not it is still heartbreaking to watch the end of an Era. Disney used to be something great and it is hard to watch it fail so spectacularly.
Disney is probably afraid of a lawsuit by Zegler and her management and PR team if the role of Snow White is recast. Disney will, of course, pay her off to buy her silence. Also I don't think Disney will simple shelve the project since that would be admitting defeat.
Disney have a lot more money then Zegler(so better layer) and the world on her site so no bad pr when they fire her

I think that what Peter meant to say was that since the Snow White role was being more progressive, they shouldn't tie the dwarves to stereotypes too. Not the "cut the dwarves" or "no more dwarves in the movie" I've been seeing.
They had the direct quote from peter in this video so we can hear him say it with his own mouth, thanks but no thanks on your half baked comment about it. Peter said “…but you’re still telling a story about 7 dwarves who live in a cave? … i mean what the fuck!?”
And he even said more if you actually listen, or, its 2023 and you could see the clip outside of this video for the whole context where he fully explains how fucked up it is that they cast a latino actress for “snow white” but are still telling a messed up story about cave dwarves.

When will Disney learn, to make money, produce movies appealing to 90% of people as opposed to .002 percent of the population.
Should you decide to make a remake of an iconic movie or franchise, you have to follow an unwritten rule to the T: be aware of the fans of the original and never mess with them. They can make or break the finished product.
Disney foolishly opted to ignore the rule and are now trying to glue the pieces of a broken vase by this point. They should just scrap the project altogether. They have lost the trust to the previously eager demographic due to incompetent leadership.
In the 2012 Snow white and the Huntsman. All the Dwarf characters where played by normal size actors but were CGI’d on to smaller bodies.. no one complained at this st the time….

Peter Dinklage is pissing me off. He's successful and he thinks he can talk on behalf of other dwarf actors who actually struggle to find roles because of their size. If YOU find it problematic, ok don't play characters like that, but don't think others think the same. He seems to have forgotten how hard it was for him to find roles, and now when there are people who WANT to play the 7 dwarfs, we still listen to him. Why? HE doesn't want to play such roles but that doesn't mean every person like him also doesn't want to play them. Some people have been waiting for roles like that to come, like imagine the fame these actors will get. But no, we listen to Peter Dinklage

GOOD NEWS!! I have a friend who works for Disney. He says Disney is working on what will be the movie that puts Disney back on top. The movie is about Martin Luther King Jr. when he spent a month in Mexico at El Chapo's ranch and how King tried to explain to Chopo that he needed to hire more black people, so the NAACP doesn't shut him down. Leonardo DiCaprio is playing Martin Luther King and Christopher Walken is playing El Chapo. It is a great concept with a great cast. What can go wrong?
Why was no one boycotting Halle Bailey this much? In my opinion, she as Ariel is far worse than Rachel as Snow White. Yeah, Halle is a great singer, but she's just not so good at acting and doesn't look like Ariel at all. Like, AT ALL. She was also promoting the movie as a "new look at an old story" with Ariel being in love with the whole humanity and not with Eric specifically.
Where were those people who now want Zegler to be recasted just because her skin is a little bit tanner than pale? I just don't understand it.

I thought I heard up and coming Brett Cooper was taking over the role of playing Snow White. It is impossible to keep up with all of the changes Disney is making in everything nowadays.

Anyway it woule take more than replacing Zegler with Lucy Hale to save this movie. It would take good story telling, and I think Disney has got so lost in their agendas to really tell a good tale. They hired Zegler in the first place because she fit the Snow White they wanted. Until it backfired on them when Zegler revealed what they were planning to do with their version in her Weird, wierd way.
If Lucy Hale is in the movie then at least there will be a reason to watch it.
