I don't agree with the title. I'm not watching he video: it's paused on the initial adverts as I type this. People believe that science will provide answers. Atheists believe there is no supernatural deity. I believe the sun will rise in the morning and thus providing daylight for me to do whatever I need to do. People believe and have faith in a lot of things. Physicist believe in dark matter and dark energy. Scientists believe the laws of nature will continue to work today as they did yesterday. With this video I can most definitely see that poor wet baby getting cold outside.
Ironically sharing his beliefs, but nobody is to blame and there is no individual. Identity is illusory built from instinctual needs and a product of sociocultural context. True change would require addressing both the structural mechanisms, but more importantly, the deeper, more instinctual elements of human behavior that perpetuate division. Romantic notions of children of the future is complete demagoguery. For a guy eating a hero's dose of shrooms, he's surely talking out of his ass. Tune out.
I agree. Take it with a grain of salt. He also states the playing field is level, far as the Internet goes. This is not necessarily true because now we have Google which constantly censors, runs election interference, manipulates the public with disinformation, pushes government propaganda and have become another unofficial branch of the government. Google is a way for the government to go around the first amendment. The playing field is not level. The web is only another tool that can be used for good or ill.
As for the “heroes dose” of shrooms, be extremely cautious of psychedelics and other drugs, as a Buddhist, we warn that it acts only as a short cut to enlightenment and then can act only in short term. Also the U.S. government used them for mind control experiments on humans in the 50’s and 60’s. Something to think about.
As a Buddhist, this is true. we do not believe in anything. belief is one of the main fundamental causes of suffering.
