Our city is 8am to 10pm it can be as loud as you want.
We had a cop stop at the garage we practice out band at . Around 8pm and instead of telling us to turn it down, he sat in on drums for 2 songs 😂 told us at 10pm to switch to the acoustic guitars that's it .
This is probably why they didn't charge him with a noise violation.. because it was during daytime hours.

There is ABSOLUTELY no legal basis for coming into a house WITHOUT a WARRANT in the absence of “exigent circumstances” like, a fleeing bank robber, gun shots, screams for help. Coppers cannot just go in and arrest somebody for a violation of a noise ordinance INSIDE THEIR HOUSE, without a warrant. This guy will likely get a SHUT TIN of moolah in the federal law suit. Just double checked our local house ordinance. No decibels mentioned anywhere in it. Rather, they use "plainly audible" verbiage and that's absolute BS.
In theory, my neighbor at the opposite end of our cul-de-sac violated it when she yelled from her front door to her parents getting in their car, because i could tell that she was telling them they forgot something in her house, even though i was more than 300 feet away.
I hear other neighbors a couple streets over playing as a live band some evenings. It's "plainly audible" from over 300 feet away but objectively NOT disturbing. That's why there should be a specific decibel level in all such ordinances. Regardless, unless it was louder than EVERYTHING i was doing, i wouldn't dream of calling police. Even if it was, that would be my last resort.

2ns video, straight up home invasion, no warrant, illegal entry. Those cops are lucky the citizen didn't exercise his 2nd amendment right. To all oath breaking LEO, if you value your "officer safety," I would advise not engaging in unlawful behavior because it would be detrimental to your health. Tread lightly.

Had a incident at my apartment while I was out of town. I gave a friend who has a delivery/ taxi service permission to have access to my apartment to rest use the bathroom and so forth. But said no drinking or smoking weed which is legal in Michigan. The start of this is because a neighbor accused me of cooking crack . Had the apartment manager come over twice with no evidence.Daid neighbor called again while I was out of town . Had 13 cops show up at the door . Being dumb he let them in . Nothing was being done wrong. They searched my apartment. Went thru my trash and medication bottles. Apartment manager had him trespassed from the property. And he still is. The issue I had was the cops just walking in with no warrant. And failed to contact me immediately to confirm I gave him permission to be here. Also I am a disabled Veteran. Friend would always swing by to check up on me . If i needed help or anything from the store he would help.

I had this happen for fireworks on 4th of July about 25 years ago. The police came. Asked are you done? I said yes, and they left. That is how it should be. Some anti-patriot called them on July 4 for fireworks. The police back then were a bit more practical.

I had a neighbor who would call the police on me 3-4x a month for whatever they could harass me for. Because I built a 2 car garage out back on my property, with a city permit. The cops came every time like I was the bad guy so I stopped answering the door, or I'd throw their law back into their face. I told the neighbor they were moving they just didn't know it yet. They moved within 2 years. I can't tell you how I got them to move. Statute of limitations isn't up yet. Let's just say they got hardcore mind fucked.

We had a cop stop at the garage we practice at . Around 8pm and instead of telling us to turn it down he sat in on drums 🥁for 2 songs 😂. Told us 10pm we have to switch to our acoustic guitars . Thats it . These cops suck !

"We verified the music is too loud." Really? What was the decibel level? How did you measure it? What time is it (because some ordinances are time-of-day specific - between 10pm and 6am, typically).
It's going to be important in court. The law is specific and the cops will have to be too.
