There was another post that talks abt that and that Peter develops a knitting hobby because of that new instinct. His whole room is full of yarn balls and things he knits
My joke headcannon is that everyone in Sonic is deaf but can communicate by reading the dialogue boxes when the characters “talk”. Too many explosions to not be a bit deaf right?
somewhat adjacent headcanon, all the Sonic characters actually make the same sounds as their non-anthropomorphic counterparts, but because they're so accustomed to eachother they can understand eachother perfectly. It's then simply translated for the player
My favorite sonic headcanon is that Eggman is basically Sonic's dad, and Sonic even laughs like him sometimes (can you tell my favorite Sonic series is Sonic X? Because he legit acts like Sonic's dad in a few scenes)
@@Kaylee-Bearmy favorite headcanon is that Sonic gets invited to Eggman family reunions and always makes a point of bringing monopoly so that everyone starts in fighting.
im glad im not the only one who believes this, i tell my parents this and they just say "no, the directors couldn't afford anyone else" then i get sad that they refuse to let me imagine something wholesome
Link was CANNONICALLY made selectively mute in Breath of the Wild, it's not even a fan theory anymore! It's said to be the emotional weight of his duty that keeps him quiet, not by total choice in the area.
One of my headcanons that I heard and now is canon for me, is that in “Ninjago” Jay still has fangs from being turned into a snake, it’s probably my favorite headcanon ever
Yes! Bonus he likes to sunbathe because of some small snake remnents Lloyd: Why are you laying on the ground? Jay: Sunbathing Lloyd: [joins him because dragon genes]
Encanto headcanon: Dolores listened to Bruno's rat telenovela through the walls and was TOTALLY hooked on it. I've seen this in so many fanfics/fancomics that it better be canon if Encanto gets a spinoff series. Also, Jack Frost from ROTG hates wearing shoes. Like hates it with a burn passion.
My personal Dolores headcannon is that Dolores didn’t tell anyone about Bruno living in the walls because whenever she would try to bring it up, they would quickly shush her and tell her not to talk about Bruno.
I LOVE headcanons that are accepted by a large portion of the fandom like this, but something that I think is equally fun is when something is canon or like, headcanoned by someone directly involved in said media, but the fandom has collectively gone "no fuck that actually"

My theory about Link being mute is Zelda got sick of him responding to every situation with his signature catchphrase “well excuuuuuse me, Princess” so she cast a spell to take way his voice so she’d never have to hear it again.
@@floweryfemme idk, could also be the fact that I watched Miraculous in my native language and it's pretty common to abbreviate similar names to Mari, especially if you're close with them. Or I could also be misremembering bc it has been some time since I watched the show or anything related to it.
There was a tumblr post were someone theorized that the reason Aziraphale always wears pastel colors is because Crowley is colorblind, so Aziraphale chooses deuteranopia-friendly colors in order for Crowley to see his outfit, and i completely accepted it as a headcannon.
On a similar note, I read a fic where Sokka was red/green blind and never really noticed until they left the Southern Water Tribe. It was just common for the culture, because being able to spot movement is way more important to the gene pool than being able to tell red from a color that they rarely see that far south. With both my grandfathers, an uncle, and brother all colorblind, it's just fun to see the representation.
@@juliahock5549 For Sokka, there's The Arrow by Naggieluide on FFn. There's a few good Crowley fics out there, too, but Eye of the Beholder by I'm Nova is the first one in my review history.
This is literally canon. If he exists in a story, he Knows he's in a story, and the author is contractually obligated to have Deadpool mock them and their story.
I really like the idea that Ferb knows Perry is a secret agent and juat doesn't tell anyone. And nothing will convince me that Perry and Stacy aren't best friends.
That is very late within Phineas and Ferb, but after that summer Stacy and Perry would definitely meet each other but pretend to not see each other as their form of meeting up.
William Afton is (at least partially) blind post non-fatal springlock failure. NOW HERE ME OUT: -Springlocks canonically damage eyes -Eyes look super different from other characters in tse graphic novel -Eyes described as “dead and flat”
also, springtrap is lured by AUDIO lures, not visual ones. Sure he can't see whether or not there is a child in the room, but he can hear it, so it must be there.
Something that I picked up from many botw fics is that Link, being mute/selectively mute, learned sing language from the Zora. To add to that, Zora have sign language because it‘s the best way to communicate underwater.
My friend and i started making a satirical au where (mute) Link joins the yiga and we made it so they use sign language to communicate most of the time bc their masks would muffle their voices and for stealth
Aizawa from mha have at least adopted two stray cats and one of them is a bastard and/or is named Bastard. It just makes sense and a lot of fics seem to agree.
@@madeleinerawlins5911 omg yes. I also love how that seems to be the most constant thing, even in cannon divergent fics. Like its either happened or everyone in the fic knows it’ll happen.
Whenever any piece of non-canon media gives a different name to a character than their canon name, I always headcanon it as the character’s middle name. This goes for pretty much any franchise. For example, Shaggy Rogers was meant to be named William before they canonised the name Norville, so to me his full name is Norville William Rogers. Other examples include Dr. Eggman being called Ivo Julian Robotnik, Purple Man being called William Simon Afton and Winnie the Pooh’s middle name being Edward. It's nothing huge, but I like it.
I love to give characters non-canon middle names! It adds nothing to a fanfic and sometimes it doesn't even make it to the final version, but it's just fun
@@RealSquidShady What a coincidence, I actually do the very same thing! I think it is positively brilliant as symbolism of how big of a grasp his father had on his life, extending even to Michael's, ie: his very identity.
Every cartoon character has its own alternate universe where they are actors in their shows. Infinite blooper reels; infinite entertainment. Coming back to reality is slightly disheartening.
the older barbie movies did this exact thing! basically, barbie was an actress which explains all the characters she played in the different movies and also, the fake blooper reels they play during the credits are comedy gold that have never been surpassed
I love the hard of hearing Bakugou and Present Mic fics, but something to add to it is that Izuku knows JSL and uses it when they're alone because Bakugou is inseccure about it
I'd like to add to this with deku learning it when they were kids and bakugous quirk first came in. He probably said something like "you'll need to sneak sometimes as a hero, and all that loud noise might hurt your hearing", and bakugou feels insecure that deku was right. Deku is also more fluent in JSL than bakugou, because he's been using it longer
My headcanon about bakugo is that the reason he is so angry is beacuse his quirk make it so he sweat a exploisive chemical that is also use in heart medicin so his boddy develop more adreanlin ao his hearth dont stop.
I actually have hearing loss and hearing aids so I love this headcannon cuz it makes sense and makes me very happy because I don’t see hearing aids with youngish people (I am young to so that why I live for it)(also most people when they think of hearing loss and hearing aids the think old people but young people have it to!)I do not see hearing aids and hearing loss in anime so I love this so much!
My Ninjago headcanon is that ninjas' bodies are affected by their powers, for example: Jay always feels static energy in his body making his hair stand on end, so in the first series he had very compact hair because he used a lot of hair gel to keep it in place.
Kai probably has a higher body temperature compared to most normal people due to his fire abilities. Zane is usually, if not always cold, but he doesn't really feel it himself since he's a robot. It's mostly just for everyone else that touches him. Cole's skin tends to feel more rough compared to other peoples (I believe this to be a genetic inherited from his mother). I also have a few of my own hc for the ninja that kinda fit this! :) Kai can sometimes burst into flames depending on his emotions (over-excitement, anger, stress, ect.) Jay sometimes suffers from short seizures and takes medication for it. Zane tends to shortcircut if he hasn't cleaned his gears in a while. He is the only one besides Wu to be fluent in sign language. If Cole gets too stressed out or overwhelmed, he causes small earthquakes to happen, same with when he gets too angry.
@@jmurray1110 Technically, it wouldn't really matter *how* his body is always cold considering both options work quite well. And besides, headcanons aren't canon, just things people make up for fun for their favorite characters for various reasons.
Not really a headcanon from a fanfic, rather from various things I've seen over the years. But I like to think Mario has a completely unhinged side he sometimes shows. Like, he uses a shotgun to kill a fly in his house.
I like to imagine that he just talks to the fly in third person like in Mario Teaches Typing while chasing it through his house with his shotgun. "Mario's gonna fucking kill-a you, motherfucker! Wahooo!"
I swear to God that I’ve seen the Pink Panther shoot out a light when the narrator told him to “Kill the light,” so this reminded of that possibly nonexistent scene.
There was that one headcanon that I picked up from Quora (not a fanfic I know but I felt like mentioning it). It is that Hermione discovered her magic ability while she was reading Matilda. After reading one of the scenes from the book where Matilda used her powers, Hermione also attempted to follow along by trying to drag a book towards her and she succeeded!
Personally in regard to the deaf Bakugou headcanon I like to add onto it that he’s not actually completely deaf just yet, but he is going deaf. The thing about bakugou is he’s actually pretty smart, and he generally picks up on a lot more than you would think a hotheaded character like him would. So I think he actually started wearing ear plugs/headphones to help protect his hearing and mitigate the damage the sound of his explosions caused fairly early on. Of course even with that consideration his hearing is already damaged and even military grade ear plugs don’t completely negate the risk of hearing loss when subjected to the sound of loud explosions on a regular basis, and I doubt he had access to military grade equipment until getting into UA.
im not in the harry potter fandom, but even as an outsider im also surprised that snape being draco’s godfather isnt canon?? the amount of stuff ive heard about the series has lead me to believe that it was true lol
As someone who has read all books many times and used to love harry potter when i heard about the snape being draco's godfather headcanon it was like suddently everything in his character made a little more sense, him becoming a death eater as a teenager, his paralels with sirius inside the story, his hatred towards harry growing stronger after their duel in the first movie, him having a clear bias and a protectiveness towards draco out of all his slitherin students, his whole presence in the cursed child book especially his softness while talking to dracos kid and helping him, i dont really engage with hp stuff animore but i whole heartelly believe that this should be canon
meh, idk, it doesn't work for me, just cause of the class difference between the Malfoys and Snape-- as an adult he's a teacher, which is shabby but respectable, but by upbringing he's not only a halfblood, but also from a working class family. Also, highly unlikely that Snape and Lucius even knew each other in school just cause of the probable age gap-- given that iirc Narcissa (& Bellatrix) are older cousins of Sirius, and given the way the high class pureblood WW seems to match British aristocratic norms, most likely Lucius is the same age or older than his wife, so the gap between Lucius and Snape may well be over 7 years. I figure they didn't officially meet until Snape started brewing Voldemort's potions, which I believe was after he left school, or at the very least in his 6th year or up.
There's a lot of reasons why it'd be kind of strange (Draco would not shut up about it if he knew, Snape's from a poor half-blood background and Lucius would have some thing to say about it, and there's more to connect /Sirius/ to the Malfoys than to connect Snape to them), but on the other hand /holy crap/ would it make the Unbreakable Vow scene go hard
I rewatched A:TLA with my mother this year, and had completely forgotten that the idea that Zuko and Mai had been in an arranged marriage situation when they were children (violently ended, of course, when Zuko was banished), and that's why Zuko and Mai are so familiar with each other and fall back into a relationship so quickly...was totally something I came up with myself and not canon. I still think it works. (yes I know there's a comic which has Azula manipulate her brother and Mai into a relationship so Zuko sticks around)
i just read a fanfic where they were in an arranged marriage, also i think azulon might've not died? or not immediately i can't remember but it was a fun read and it was complete also toph and zuko got to meet and that was sick
Frisk being mute in Undertale is one that I was shocked when I was reminded that it isn’t actually canon (they have conversations with characters even though they never have a dialogue box pop up, and there are ACT options that involve speaking) The “Chara is the narrator” headcanon is another one I forget isn’t actually canon.
My Luigi headcanon is that he has synesthesia, based on the fact that he recognizes an alternate version of himself and trusts himself in Super Mario Galaxy 2 - when he other him talked, he saw the same color he associates with his own voice, and so trusted his doppelganger instantly.
I read the books for How to Train Your Dragon, and book Hiccup is THE most aroace coded character to ever be accidentally aroace coded. It may as well be canon to me. On the topic of httyd, I read a fic for the movie and someone mentioned Astrid's family having moved to Berk from another land, hence why her name is so different from everyone else's! I just think that's brilliant.
when they introduced Kamikazi in like the second book(??) i thought for a millisecond that she was gonna be a love interest but hiccup's hiccupness just made me immediately go "nah"
@@grammy_hnng I'll be forever salty that Camicazi wasn't in the movies. Don't get me wrong, I love Astrid, Ruffnut, and Heather, but maaaaaan Camicazi was so much fun.
I recall reading headcanon in a fic that I accepted as the reason why Astrid is named like that, I looked for it in the fic: "He'd have to find out what clan she belonged to, but given the name, he'd bet that she was Hofferson. They had more normal names simply as a show of confidence or bravado-that they were simply so potent that they did not fear gnomes and trolls, as the rest of the tribe did with their silly names." from A Thing of Vikings by athingofvikings on ao3
In Pokémon, the in-univwrse reason why some typings seem to make "no sense" (Charizard not being a dragon, certain type match ups etc) is that nature is just weird like that. In the same way that not all big cats are "big cats" (meaning in the Panthera family), how there's a ton of animals that have evolved to look like crabs but aren't even closely related, or how whales and dolphins, despite sharing a lot of similarities with fish on the first glance, are actually mammals, Pokémon typings arent always obvious. They have to be scientifically determined by a team of... Well, scientists, who conduct a series of tests whenever a new species of pokemon is discovered. Naturally, a sizable group of the new species would be necessary to account for varying natures, IVs and everything. Of course, upon first inspection, a few types will be deemed "more likely", so these ones will be tested for first. The tests would contain a lot of battling with already established pokemon, then comparing how well they fair against which attacks and how much damage they deal to different types. Once they have enough data, they can finally review which group of pokemon they belong to. This is an incredibly complicated field of research, as there are almost 20 known types; pokemon can, but don't have to, have a dual typing; possible abilities have to be taken into account, critical hits may alter the results of a single test, etc. A new type is discovered when a pokemon doesn't fit the established table, and usually uproots the world of pokemon science for a while. The heads of the field would have to get together and decide on a new name for the group, which sometimes is very easy (fire, water etc) but sometimes the group is so diverse in itself that more abstract titles are chosen (flying at one point should be named bird, but they ruled gainst it because of pokemon like Gyarados, various bug/flying types etc). It Also means that most of not all other pokemon have to have their typing double checked to see if the new type might have been mistaken for a coincidental similar dual typing. When Shedinja was discovered, it was discussed if it could be the sole member of a rare type, but they later ruled that it's unusual strengths and resistances were attributed to a new ability, as it otherwise matched up perfectly with its final typing. Regional variants were a head scratcher for a long time. Pokemon scientists regularly laugh at the products of their own field, whenever some ironic sht like "solgaleo, thw pokemon of the sun, is weak to fire, and lunala, the pokemon of the moon, is even weaker to the dark" is discovered. Basically everytime I hear someone cry about how typing in Pokémon makes no sense, I roll my eyes and think "duh, not everything is supposed to fit nicely into obvious boxes"
I like to headcanon that at one time, Charizard were believed to be a Dragon-type, but further research proved otherwise. However, Charizard are distantly related to Dragon-types and do share certain characteristics and behaviors (though they aren’t nearly as high maintenance).
Reminds me of how Intelligence Factor handled typing/infinity energy. Too tired to explain rn but i recommend just readibg the fic if your curious. (Or asking me, i might elaborate later)
it's actually my headcanon but i'm sure others who have watched the series would agree: since we just finished season five of the life series with secret life, every single member has some level of hearing damage. they all shout to each other which confuses gem at first. by the end of the season, gem is shouting too

Bloodbending is some sort of reverse form of healing, therefore all healers have the potential to be bloodbenders and vice versa however many few can learn to do both... I genuinely forget this isn't canon all the time and have used it in arguments/fanwork forgetting that its not a well known fact that was just never explored in the shows :(
Jujutsu Kaisen features a blood-bending type ability with an application I don't think I've seen in ATLA or LOK: Bending your *own* blood to increase your speed and strength
In the world of ATLA, I can see this reinforcing the themes of balance the show seems to focus on. The two sides of the same coin idea that Last Airbender presents is everywhere, from the sun and moon to the YinYang fish. So yeah, I'm accepting this as canon. Not only does it seem logical, but it also reinforces the themes of the show.
I love how the whole video was just hcs about sexuality and disabilities and mostly serious stuff and then there's Don the ninja turtle eating dino nuggies while watching Jurassic Park
Had this happen in reverse, where my headcanon for a fic was just immediately accepted as canon by my readers, to the point where someone asked me where that little nugget was revealed because they'd watched the entire series recently and couldn't find any reference to it but it it just "explained so much" I've never been so sad to tell someone I made it up.
Besides the orientations of characters, I'd say 'William Afton needs glasses but refuses to wear them' is my personal favourite. It fits the era, his egotistical nature, his penchant for constantly wearing masks, the fact that Springtrap locates better with audio cues rather than visual ones, it's so perfect! ^w^

A while back I saw this one Tumblr post that given that the Pokémon Phantump are created from the souls of children who die in the woods, it's possible that many families have had missing kids returned to them as Phantump. The post went into more detail, but basically it was; "If a Phantump is spotted in the woods shortly after a child is reported missing, it will be captured and brought to the family to see if it might be their missing child. Several families have Phantump or Trevant relatives in them as a result."
For me, it has to be that the Loch Ness Monster and Lake Champlain Monster are in a long-distance relationship and that they are not related family-wise.
I headcanon fred from scooby doo as bi and I honestly feel like it's hinted as canon in the shows many times. Especially the very memeable "Happy tapioca pudding" clip.
I didn’t read it in a fic, it was more of a realization, but in a Christmas Carol, in the scene where Scrooge visits his past and sees his sister telling him about how his father wanted him to come home, I thought that maybe his dad had been visited by his own spirits. The main reason I think this is because of how seemingly sudden his change of heart came in. I guess all Scrooge’s have a bit of a jerk phase huh?

@@apocalypseofplushThe sister as the ghost of Christmas Past is canon text in the musical version our theater did last year. Hadn't heard of their dad being visited, but I love it as a Blackadder reference to the Christmas special reference.

I have so many Sonic headcanons that are canon to me, although most of them are my own imagining. Here are a few because I feel like it: - Espio's from Silver's time period. A glitch in the timeline sent him to Sonic's time period when he was a baby, where he was adopted by a local clan of chameleons. Eventually Eggman attacked his adopted clan and he was the only survivor, which led to him being put in foster care. Eventually he was adopted by Vector. Tying into this, Espio's Leaf Swirl technique is actually a form of telekinesis, and he didn't know until he met Silver. - Vector's actually an alligator, he just says he's a crocodile to avoid investi-gator puns. - Charmy hoards honey in the winter because it keeps him warm. This one's purely based on the fact that bees use honey IRL to stay warm in the winter (since they don't hibernate and are cold-blooded). - When Silver visits the past, he leaves engraved kunai for Espio to find. Espio never uses these and they stay hung up on his bedroom wall so he doesn't lose them. - You can pet Shadow's chest fluff and if he's upset he immediately calms down. - Sonic characters have animal instincts that are somewhere between Zootopia and Beastars in terms of severity. There are implications of some animal instincts existing among Sonic characters (like Scourge losing his only method of self defense in prison and becoming submissive, or Knuckles seeming to dig on impulse, especially in Sonic Boom) but when I say "animal instincts" I mean "if Tails isn't careful he'll make Sonic curl into a ball by pure instinct" animal instincts. Like when I say "animal instincts" I mean individuals that are predator species (like Vector and Tails) have to be INCREDIBLY careful not to trigger prey species' instincts. - I also read a fic where Sonic knows sign language on account of being mute in his younger years. In this same fic Shadow also knew sign language and now both are canon to me, if only because the idea of them harassing each other via sign language is hilarious. - This one's actually born from one of my fics because I realized how I was writing Espio, but Espio's 100% autistic. At this point it's all but confirmed to be canon lol. I also think Silver's autistic because of projection.
I bet the sign language scenario would go like this: Sonic & Shadow: *Roasting tf out of each other in sign language* Everyone: What are they doing? Tails: *Trying not to laugh since he also knows ASL* I'm adding to your headcanon that Tails also knows sign language since he's a big fan of Sonic and knew him quite a bit in his classic years! ^^
1:17 That's actually true for Miguel O'Hara, except for the body temperature control problem. He has claws, biological web fluid, and fangs that deliver a venomous bite.
honestly i could totally see every game with a silent protagonist as selectively mute. Every sinlge one. Not my personal headcanon, but it totally makes sense.
i found one on tumblr a while ago where Barry the Quokka (protagonist from the murder of sonic the hedgehog) was always checking the trash cans because they didn't want anything important being missed in there. they were referring to how they were left in a trash can as a child and it makes me so fucking sad everytime i think about it ☹️
there's always something in the trash! seriously that's depressingn though, then again so is being raised in a lab in space and losing your only family to the government, or losing your entire species and being the sole protector of a powerful artifact
The headcanon I'm surprised isn't actually canon is Twilight Sparkle having had built many book forts as a filly (and maybe into adulthood too lol) I don't even remember where I first read it, but it feels _way too in character_ to not be true
Today on tumblr i saw a fan comic where Larry from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveals himself to be from our world but got Isekai'd to the pokemon world and i just accepted it as canon.
I headcanon Sonic as being aromantic asexual. I saw it in a video where someone was talking about how they didn't think Sonic was straight and I just accepted it as canon. He just indirectly gets girls to want to date him, but he isn't actually interested in any sort of romantic relationship because it would slow him down. TL,DR: Sonic accidentally rizzes people up, but he isn't interested in a romantic relationship in the slightest. He also does not fuck.
i believe one of the original creators of sonic has stated that he wouldn’t be interested in romance because he is a character that values freedom over all else
A headcanon that I immediately agreed with when I found out abt it and most of the fandom agrees with: Donnie from ROTTMNT is a theatre kid. Musicals are his special interests right underneath science. He vocal stims with riffs stuck in his head, sings cheesy karaoke with April, over-analyzes characters and music. He also learnt music theory in order to better understand musicals and analyze them better. Is forever glad he lives in NY, close to Broadway and tries to go to shows all the time. I may be projecting a little bit but also, musicals are popular in the autistic community because they’re easier to digest and understand than movies or shows, the music tells you everything you need to know without having to try and read people’s faces. I mean, most of the time when you’re so far away from the stage you can barely see the actor’s expressions anyways, it was literally made so that reading expressions was unnecessary
Their Dad was a Famous Movie star. The Entire family is made up of Theatre kids ✨✨❤️💙💜🧡✨💛✨✨do you not remember the snow day episode? All of them were singing their hearts out
I love that headcanon, and another headcanon that I really like is Donnie being aro/ace and non-binary (he/ they pronouns). He is because I said so (I'm projecting because I relate to him)
They’re all theater kids. April is a theater kid too, but I feel like she’d try to hide it. If they all went to high school, they’d all be involved in the shows. Donnie and Leo would compete for leads, April would be the stage manager, Raph would be her assistant, and Mikey would help paint sets and help run costumes. That’s my headcanon.
Here are some of my canon headcanons while we're at it -Sonic the Hedgehog has ADHD -The gibberish Mario and Luigi speak whenever they talk in the Mario and Luigi games is Italian -Pokemon from the amorphous egg group have limited shapeshifting abilities(they can change their physical features, but their anatomy will genuinely stay the same) -Papyrus from Undertale learned to cook from Undyne. And since Undyne constantly burns the things she cooks, it explains by Papyrus doesn't always seem to be the best cook. -Jesse from Minecraft Story mode is a vegetarian
Papyrus canonical only cooks spaghetti because he thinks people like it. He never eats his own cooking, and nobody has the heart to tell him his cooking skills are shit. Also I accept all of these, especially the Mario and Luigi one.
@@miraculous_lady_noir2179 Can't say for sure, but it makes enough sense for me to consider it canon. Also another undertale one while we're at it: Sans has a permanent smile. Bro doesn't have the ability to frown.
Most of my headcanons are about how things work in Universe because I'm that kind of Nerd.😂 Also the one that Zuko didn't know who any of the Gaang was named except Sokka until he joined up with them and before that he only knew them as the Avatar, the Avatar's bison, Sokka, Sokka's sister and the little green one.
i like that idea but i always assumed he knew "the little green one" before she joined the team but never bothered looking into it, like just seeing a poster on a wall and just ignoring it kinda deal
It makes it funnier when in the southern raiders episode, Zuko and Sokka are talking in Sokka's tent, Zuko always says "your sister" until Sokka goes and says "Katara is just like that sometimes" (or something like that) the VERY NEXT SENTENCE Zuko says Katara's name. It's always been a headcannon of mine that Zuko didn't know anybody's name until someone else said it, and that's why he introduced himself as "Zuko here", so they would know his name if they didn't (like how he didn't know theirs)
tbh that makes sense, idk why but when katara first mentions zuko by name in the show i was somehow confused that she knew his name. zuko not knowing absolutely makes sense, especially for aang and toph who joined in s2
A weird MHA one of mine, Mina smells like a citrus fruit due to her quirk being essentially mutated citric acid. And not any specific one either, everyone has different ideas as to which kind of citrus she smells like, some people say oranges, others limes, grapefruit, and persimmons. Tsu however, thinks Mina smells like a Buddha’s hand citrus specifically. Of course this means that Iida could technically use Mina’s acid like a sort of turbo fuel in a pinch.
I have a mild obsession with making evil looking characters super silly and cute on the inside. Anyway, Ganondorf is a cake enthusiast. His favourite flavour is red velvet. I don't care what anyone thinks.
Pokemon headcanon: Red is selectively mute, but Blue Oak just understands him no problem, always. Also they're married and went to Alola for their honeymoon
While there are heterosexual explanations for Red and Blue going to Alola, the peak honeymoon destination of the Pokémon world together, they're HELLA weak. I can't be convinced otherwise that they're not at least boyfriends, if not husbands, given Red leaving Mt. Silver for *_JUST_* Alola's Battle Tree makes no sense to me compared to Red leaving Mt. Silver to be with Blue and they just so happen to be using the Battle Tree as an additional benefit to being in Alola
I have some Muppets headcanons: - Animal is paid in dog treats - Statler and Waldorf are secretly Fozzie's biggest fans, they just have to heckle him because they have a reputation to protect - Rowlf has a cabin in the woods - There are so many pig characters because the theater also housed a butcher shop at one point -Kermit is allergic to cats
Hazbin Hotel: We see a picture of Charlie during an emo phase in Lucifer's study, but this phase probably lasted like a day tops after she made ONE mean comment to someone and she was so remorseful about it, she became the ray of sunshine she is today to make up for it.
I don't read many fics, but I do like to make my own headcanons! A recent one I came up with is that Midorya has at least one scar from his childhood of bad bullying. Most likely a burn scar from Bakugou. But with all the new scars he has from battle, he barely remembers anymore
This is my own headcanon but here we go Each 2012 ninja turtle chose their mask color based on what their favorite holiday is So Leonardo loves Independence Day because he feels a lot of pride for NY, and the rest of the U.S.A for that matter (and he loves fireworks) Donatello loves Easter because he adores hiding eggs in really strange ways for his brothers Michelangelo loves Halloween because it gives him a free pass to dress up (and scare his brothers) And Raphael (even though he won't admit it) loves Christmas. And the second the clock strikes twelve and it's December 1st he's awake putting up decorations
I've got some too! For Encanto: - Bruno's visions cause pain. - Camilo doesn't recognize himself in the mirror. - The reason why Camilo describes Bruno that way in "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is because once, when he went to get a late night snack, he saw Bruno on the counter getting something with the rats, which explains the "7 foot frame, rats along his back". After they encounter each other, Bruno questioningly says Camilo's name, after which Camilo faints of shock and exhaustion, explaining the "when he calls your name, it all fades to black". Furthermore, Camilo had a nightmare that night, explaining his last line in the song: "he sees your dreams, and feasts on your screams" - Bruno has DID, explaining Hernando and Jorge. Plus, it makes sense: his gift is a curse and everyone blames him for the future. Idk exactly what the townsfolk did to him, but he was 5 y/o and got shit all over him. - Dolores has a sound-proof room. Her room never gets shown in the film, but honestly, give the girl a break for her ears. - Pepa is not immune to her own lightning. Read this once in a MCD fic and actually, why should she be immune? - The Madrigal grandkids, except for Antonio, regularly have meetings in which they discuss things that might be concerning, that the adults just ignore or don't notice. Think of how Bruno might act after he finally lives with the family again: he doesn't eat a lot, his knocking, Hernando and Jorge, generally quiet and doesn't let others help him, along with the fact that when he gets startled by someone, he thinks he's still living in the walls and just runs away For Coco: - Hector is non-binary. Yes, I played in a musical in which the actor for Hector was non-binary, but I can see it. - Miguel is able to see the dead post-movie (and maybe during "Proud Corazon" too) - Hector has trust issues. His death just caused that okay? - Hector was planning on leaving Imelda and Coco for a long time when he was still alive: why else has he written "Remember Me" and sang it to Coco for the longest time? - Del a Cruz stole Hectors shoes before he died. Hear me out: Hector doesn't have shoes in the beginning of the movie, only getting a new pair once he reunites with Imelda and the family. - Miguels sister, Rosa, was named after her aunt: Tia Rosita Okay, I'll stop now, but I've got a ton more!
My biggest head cannon is that in MHA Kaminari has insomnia from his electricity. He’s basically a walking battery so it makes sense in my brain that he just has constant energy. I also use this for KamiJiro stuff where the two end up hanging in the night since Jiro’s sensitive ears mean that when Kaminari is awake she hears him a lot. I also headcannon them having cute nicknames for eachother, Denk is “Kami” and Jiro is “Kyo”.
i headcanon that Kami struggles with seizures and that's what his "shortcircuiting" is. that it's actually really painful and that only Bakugou and Deku know and they help him out and make sure he's okay
Not from a fanfic but from a comment to a fan animation that I think most Omori fans are familiar with Kel having ADHD; to me, it just sort of makes sense. I'm not diagnosed yet but I believe that I may have ADHD as well, so there were a couple of scenes with Kel where I could absolutely see myself doing. Like using my supposed lunch money for something I don't actually need (One of his dialogues at Hobbeez), or saying things I don't actually mean to say (Kel accidentally causes a scene at Church because he yells and accuses someone of theft during a sermon) And maybe the diagnosis of ADHD might be the reason why his parents seem to care more about his siblings than him
Not familiar with your fandom, but when I see "Kel has ADHD" out of context, my brain immediately goes, "Is it truuuue?" "I do, I do, I do!" WHY does that fit the Kenan and Kel show so well?
As far as I’m aware it’s not cannon, but in pokemon a group of zoruas is a bamboozle. It completely makes sense given what zoruas are like, and I just absolutely love this idea
I totally believe that Chell, from portal, is mute, but it’s by choice. I’d like to think she stays quiet, just so she can be even more annoying to Glados.
On a related note: I love the headcanon that Chell is deaf, only because I think it's very funny to imagine that she has no idea what's going on throughout the whole game and is just winging it while GLADOS monologues to absolutely zero reaction. But the concept that she does, in fact, hear everything and is intentionally staying quiet to be annoying is also compelling. Another idea that just popped into my head: she's deaf and uses a hearing aid, which she just. Turns off whenever GLADOS starts talking.
@@kaysrandomchannel4618 I think so too. I remember that, when they had the 10 year anniversary, they had a bunch of meme references, and one of them was Chell doing the “This is so sad, play despacito”, thing. And I swear I saw an interview with Valve employees where one of them said something like this about Chell.
6:30 the reason dumbledore didnt remove harry from the dursley residence is because harry needa to live with a blood relative for his protection charm to work
True but there were a lot more issues with Dumbledore. The fact that Harry nearly died multiple times each year works with Dumbledore wanting Harry to die for the Horacrux. Dumbledore not communicating ANYTHING with Harry. Not doing anything to help Harry with the Dursely (he could have done a secret keeper + unbreakable vow once he discovered Harry’s living conditions). Manipulative/not nice Dumbledore fixes a lot of small details and plot holes.
SO AGREE WITH THE SPIDER-MAN ONE. i eat up fics like that. "peter parker acts like a spider" is the ao3 tag. i remember one where it was like. peter was a feral fucking creature, not understanding human language or anything, on an island and deadpool got sent out with some scientists to the island? to study him? vividly remember a scene where peter gets his leg stuck on a wire and wade lets him free. ive not been able to find it since. I remember I'd read them in class by emailing myself the fic (since ao3 was blocked), so I'll see if I can find it. Edit: No luck in my emails :(
@@taco_boi1167 If you manage to find it that'd be a LIFESAVER cause i cant tell u how many years ive been looking for this thing 😭. Since Middleschool at LEAST.
The biggest headcanon of mine I keep in my head is that 2012 Michelangelo is older than he says he is to his brothers because he doesn't want to ruin the dynamics before by being the older brother He says it's been a few months and he's a few months older, but its probably a year and a half, maybe even two years, and he doesn't want to admit that he's that much older to them
There have been a few fics that use this premise, namely the multiversal crossover chatfics in my experience, and it really has so many opportunities for angst material
I love how a lot of people in the TMNT 2012 fandom just agree Mikey was in Dimension X for longer than he said he was (I personally like to believe that he was there for two years, technically making him the oldest)
Not from a fanfiction, but I added Alucard from Castlevania onto my island in Tomodachi Life, and his favorite food was cheesecake, so now I like thinking his favorite food in the Castlevania universe is cheesecake, despite there being absolutely no cheesecake in any Castlevania game.
this reminds me of the time i put the guide from terraria in Tomodachi Life and his favorite food was bread, so now i imagine his favorite food is bread in terraria
I have a few headcannons I can think off of the top of my head. 1) Trolls Fandom: I read a fanfic where Branch(while gray) had one of the most explicit soul crushing intrusive thoughts of other trolls being mutilated due to being eaten alive. Bad enough where it consumed his and worsened his paranoia and depression. It was absolutely crippling but he'd never have the strength to tell anyone about them until much later. 2) Trolls Fandom: Branch has high functioning autism/ptsd and Poppy has adhd. This was from tons of compilations with research explaining why it could unintentionally be cannon. 3) Mao Mao; Heroes of Pure Heart Fandom: Mao Mao is a closeted bisexual and he used to date Tanya Keys. 4) Mao Mao; Heroes of Pure Heart: Mao Mao and Badgerclops have somewhat of a romantic relationship that goes unsaid. So they're oddly really close for friends. But seeing as my prior headcannon, MaoMao totally just convinces himself that their closeness is simply what besties due. And it would kinda make sense, considering Mao Mao never really had many friends. 5) Mao Mao; Heroes of Pure Heart: Adorabat sees both badgerclops and Mao Mao as parent figures. 6) Undertale: Frisk is either selectively mute or hard of hearing. I don't say completely because Frisk is called multiple times throughout the game yet doesn't have any lines othere than supposed "thought boxes". Which might be Chara. 7) Undertale: Papyrus may be autistic. Which would also explain why he always was infantilized in the early days of the fandom. People have a tendency of infantlizing autistic people as some people find them childish. BUT DAMNIT HE'S FULLY CAPABLE! 8) Undertale: Toriel would absolutely over react when people get sick. Especially when it comes to children, considering what happened to Chara. BUT REMEMBER THESE ARE ALL JUST HEADCANNONS! I'm gonna keep adding the more I'm think about it.
I think people infantilized Papyrus because of his personality, because he seemed innocent and because he was the younger brother, I think it was just because of that.
I'm into a lot of vocal synth fandoms and I have two major headcanons: 1) There are two separate people called Flower - v flower and ci flower (the Flower available on Vocaloid and CeVio respectively). They're siblings, with v flower being the gremlin younger sibling and ci flower being the more mature and responsible older sister. 2) All of the dreamtonic synthv units are actually vinyl record cases (for those unaware, the dreamtonic synthv vocal designs are just a plain grey black background with 1 or 2 letters (and one time a number) in a few colours) and the fan designs are holographic projections they use for singing or performing. As such, they're extremely light and in their default appearence can be easily transported in a bag (sorry if that sounds confusing)
Omg, I didn’t expect to see another vocal synth fan here! Anyway, I love these! Especially the first one, though I view them more as cousins. V Flower is the older, more extroverted one (though still a gremlin) and Ci Flower is the shy younger one! (because she’s newer)
The only “headcanon” I had that didn’t have enough evidence to be considered a theory/hypothesis was this whole thing about Finn and Flapjack being the same person reincarnated But then Fionna and Cake comes along and decides to canonize Flapjack to the Adventure Time universe, so can it even be considered a headcanon anymore, now that it (kinda) has proof?
Excuse me what? As someone who grew up watching flapjack and hasn't watched much of Fiona and cake yet, I'm baffled. Also, care to elaborate, please? I need more context on this.
I have a whole heap of TMNT headcannons, which change depending on the interation I'm dealing with. Some of my personal favourites are -Rise Donnie is actually deaf, and that's why he's so good at reading lips and sign language. His hearing aid, homemade, are hidden in his goggles. -2012 Leo is transgender, MtF, and Karai gave her gender envy, rather than it actually being a crush -1987 turtles don't consider themselves as brothers. They keep a personal distance between one another, and are friends rather than family -2003 April named her children after months as well. Cody, in Fast Forward, is short for "October"
One of my favorite headcannons I read in a fic once related to a magical artifact that in the original books allowed the user to view other's dreams. The fic breifly mentioned that one of the blind characters (who lost his eyesight in a terrible accident) could still see his children through visiting their dreams. I don't even remember which fic it was, but that one throwaway line has stuck with me since.
Everything Neil Gaiman has ever written exists in the same literary universe Aside from subtle canon crossovers here and there, the idea that all fiction "exists" in the Sandman's realm, The Dreaming, makes this plausible
now i’m thinking about aziraphael and crowley running into the main characters of the graveyard book (or ‘the day i swapped my dad for a goldfish’, which is infinitely funnier)
@@thelazyomegawolf939 There's a character from "The Graveyard Book" that has a connection to one from "The Ocean at the End of the Lane," so it's already part of the web of Gaiman lore
I fully believe that Death from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series is the same Death as Death the horseman of the apocalypse in Good Omens. In the books they both speak in all caps. I just think Death comes off scarier in GO because he's doing his job that day.
@@thelazyomegawolf939the real question is is the ghoul world from the graveyard book actually a part of hell or is there a Secret Third Afterlife which includes ghosts and God's just not let any of the angels know about that one
Sonic used to be mute and would exclusively communicate in sign language or regular body language but as he spent more time with Tails and Knuckles, he started speaking more (hence why classic Sonic didn't talk in generations but classic Tails did). I also like to think that Eggman learned sign language to actually understand Sonic, not out of a place of compassion or empathy, but just so that they could more easily insult each other and have a "proper" rivalry. Also, Tails commits tax evasion and is dyslexic (the latter being inspired by him not being able to read many names in the Twitter Takeovers that well).
Paper Mario is autistic and selectively mute. When he "says" something by picking a dialogue option, he uses a form of telepathy to put the words into the other person's head. That's why most characters repeat what he "says" back to him.
That kinda does make sense. Explains his body language in Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam. When he first appears, he responds to Starlow with his fist in the air while facing the player.
genuinely forgot present mic wasn't canonically deaf or HOH lol, im not in the fandom anymore but its so ingrained into my head from the sheer amount of fanfic i read
The one about link being selectively mute is actually cannon. This was proven through journal entries in the Japanese version of BOTW, where link actually speaks (no audio though) to Zelda, her being the only person to hear his voice. The reason he is mute is because he feels that if he doesn’t silently bear his burdens, then he’ll show weakness.
With the Spider-Man one near the start, some of that is actually true for certain versions of him. The original Spider-Man movies had Spidey produce natural webbing, and both the fangs and the natural webbing are characteristics of Spider-Man 2099. As for bad body temperature control, that would be a MAJOR downside to the powers Peter would get. I mean, sure, if you want to make Peter Parker a freak, make him a freak, but life already hates him and gives him the worst luck. He doesn't need a major flaw like bad body temp control from saving people.
I have a couple Amity Blight head canons. -She has a big sweet tooth and LOOOVES strawberries. -She is a dog person (the bigger the better) with a cat-like personality and she and Luz work so well because Luz is a cat person with a dog-like personality. I also love the idea of her getting a steel blue German Shepherd puppy named Max and causing all kinds of trouble with him that they both cute their way out of with Luz. -She and her siblings have body image issues. Odalia is such a controlling perfectionist, I can see her withholding and limiting food from her kids so they don’t become “chunky” which leads them being an unhealthily low weight. When they start eating properly, Amity has a mental breakdown over her weight gain, despite her becoming a healthy weight and Luz helps her through it. Another reason why I think this is because it’s established that Luz isn’t very strong in the first episode. Yet, by the Grom episode, she’s able to pick Amity up and twirl her around. This takes place in a matter of a few weeks to a little over a month, NOT long enough for her “weak nerd arms” to gain the strength to pick up a 14 year old girl of a healthy weight. But definitely enough to pick up and twirl around an UNDERWEIGHT 14 year old girl. She is also one of the most slender and petite of the characters, despite having been an athlete not long ago. I also just like the idea of Amity having an absolute mental break down because she’s over a hundred pounds and “gaining a belly” and Luz just logics her out of it. “I’m fat” “no you’re not” “I have a belly” “all healthy bodies do” that kind of stuff. -She’s an animal lover and constantly bringing home some kind of stray. When she and Luz are a couple years into her marriage, Luz hears a noise one day and finds a hidden room of over a dozen kittens of varying ages and other random animals, the Amity comes home with a baby rhino wearing a knitted bunny ear hat, because she thought that would be enough to fool Luz. -She’s actually quite chaotic. -When carving Ghost, she actually wanted to carve a fox and was using the activity to distract herself from Luz, but she kept thinking back to the kiss she had given Luz and got frustrated because it was causing her to carve a cat with foxy facial features. After resolving things with Luz and becoming her girlfriend, she decided to just go with a cat because they’re what Luz associates with (among other animals). I have this idea because ghost is obviously short furred, like her real life counterpart. But she has these pointed little tufts on her cheeks that give her face an kind of foxy look, something short furred cats don’t really have. I like the idea of her absorbing herself into something else to forget kissing Luz only to not have it work, get frustrated, then come back and finish after with Luz in mind.
I have a hc that Alador had gone to bat for his kids and that's why he didn't get a day off for five years. In the few scenes regarding the kids interacting or talking about him, it seemed like they genuinely felt that their dad would stand up for them and that his lack of presence in their life was more recent development. It got me thinking that he pushed back on something big and Odalia realized that for her to keep the kids to her expectations then she would need to keep them and Alador as separated as she could, so she increased his workload to the point that he was barely functioning.
@@amandajohnson3531 yeah, that makes sense. Abusers separate their victims from people who can help them, so I can see her doing that with her husband and kids.
Ive never played a zelda game in my life but the mute link headcannon feels incredibly correct to me (probably because I was introduced to it alongside the base media) so much so that I get rather confused when I see clips of link talking.
It wasn't a fanfic, but I adopted a headcanon that a friend told me. In the Hobbit movies, Thranduil, Legolas's dad, the elf king is blind. Because of the dragon fire. He just hides it with magic. I just watched the movies not that long ago, and it actually makes some sense.
For the Avatar headcanons, the guy is actually RIGHT. That's exactly what happens in the comics. Being an Airbender is more of a spiritual thing than a genetic thing, and the airbenders are revived largely through their culture living on rather than genetics, though Aang DOES have kids with Katara.
That's actually true of bending in _general._ Genetics simply determines which kind of bender you can be. Spiritual stuff decides whether you're a bender at all.
@@thewanderingmistnull2451consider: the type you get is also spiritual, and culture affects it. So, if the characters were raised in different locations/countries (i.e. fire nation toph), theyd have different bending! :)
@@BookWyrmOnAString fire nation toph sounds cool, i've seen a popular head canon thing about how if a firebender was blind they'd be able to sense people's heat signatures through bending
My headcanon is that Louie from the Pikmin series is a fantastic cook, as well as often going camping on his home world, I also really like the idea that Louie and Olimar are legitimately close friends
PIKMIN HEADCANONS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO ‼️‼️‼️👺 I headcanon Louie has multiple insect collections and has some kind of mental illness but I can't tell what (sociopathy probably)
That second headcanon is nice and all, but I could easily see it being more that Olimar believes they have grown to be close friends due to their shared experiences. You know, trauma bonding and all that. But Louie just doesn't care at all because if you were to put him on an alignment chart he's just Chaotic Hungry.
The scooby doo squad are all in a poly relationship (minus scooby) because fred says "unless were dating, then you can call me freddy" and they ALL call him freddy at some point
Does Scoob never call him Freddy or are you simply too much of a coward to let him join the polycule? Scooby Doo passes the Harkness test and that fact gives me life
More theory than headcanon: Leo’s sword from ROTTMNT has the ability to not only have access to a certain location, but to an entirely different universe due to the sword having similar technology to the Krang portals shown in other carnations. If the show didn’t get cancelled, then we could of had dimension jumping between the different carnations!
I’m really into the “Doctor Nyarlarhotep” subsection of the Doctor Who Fanfiction circles, where it’s theorised that Time Lords don’t actually look like humans, it’s an illusion over their real, cosmic horror like forms, with extra limbs and wings and stuff all tucked away in higher dimensions. The first one I found even postulated that “a TARDIS needs 6 pilots” actually means “a TARDIS needs 6 pairs of hands to fly”, which all Time Lords have - with the Doctor’s own being withered from disuse due to hiding them so as to not freak out their human companions.
There's an episode where David Tennant, as the 10th of course, is in a school for bright kids pretending to be a teacher. He stands in front of them and says, "Physics, physics physics physics." Some people over the years have theorized that perhaps he was actually saying some kind of advanced science, to see if the kids were far gone enough (they were being intellectually juiced up by the bad guys to make them super smart for nefarious purposes). They didn't understand him end just heard him say the word physics a few times, but the fan theory goes that he was really saying something else. This would be kind of similar to both your theory here, and the perception filter that is supposed to be on the TARDIS as well.
A whole slew of Peter Parker hcs: Peter Parker 100% read fanfics in his time before becoming Spider-man and partially into it. Now has to live with the ghosts of his past while looking the Avengers in the eyes and acting like he doesn't know what people dream of doing to them. Surprisingly, he manages to keep it a secret. Not even Natasha knows. He'll take the things he saw on Wattpad to his grave. Also, Peter is autistic or at least has similar sensory issues due to his senses. The sensory issues are a must. The explanation is dependent on my mood but I favor autism tbh. Both because I'm autistic and because I feel like his behavior is also impacted, not just his senses. Also a huge fan of spidery spidey. It's just interesting and makes for fun interactions. Also makes the changes from the bite more negatively impactful. I feel like you should not get out of being bitten by a radioactive spider being physically better without any adverse reactions. Bucky 100% sees Peter as a mini Steve. That's Steve on steroids. Used to be small and sickly. Has no self preservation. Sense of justice bigger than even his strength. Peter just is mini Steve in all the ways that count and Bucky will keep him safe.
I've imagined personal headcanons for the Pokémon anime, specially for Ash: - He has many scars from his adventures, fights, falls, injuries caused by wild pokémon that attacked him while he was protecting his friends/pokémon, etc... - He can hide the majority of his scars with his aura powers - Only a few of his friends know the exact amount of scars he has. - As he did battles with his greninja, and so, uses the Bond Phenomenon, a mark in the shape of ash-greninja's water shuriken has appeared on his back. - The mark burns him each time they use the attack Water Shuriken in a battle. - It happens that Ash sometimes gets a nosebleed if he and his greninja overuse the power of the Bond Phenomenon. It's happened that in the middle of a important fight, Ash gets a nosebleed but refused to pause/stop the battle because he was too invested in it and he wanted to finished it even if he might faint, collapsed or worse...
1:24 - Also Peter automatically gains sewing skills to make his costume because spiders are naturally good at weaving
Wait, I love that-
That’s especially cool because as far as I know, no spiders raise or actively teach their young so the web weaving is all instinct
i've always used that theory, glad somebody else brought it up
There was another post that talks abt that and that Peter develops a knitting hobby because of that new instinct. His whole room is full of yarn balls and things he knits
@@kikiscribblesI saw that one and immediately took it as canon.
My joke headcannon is that everyone in Sonic is deaf but can communicate by reading the dialogue boxes when the characters “talk”. Too many explosions to not be a bit deaf right?
That's amazing 😂
somewhat adjacent headcanon, all the Sonic characters actually make the same sounds as their non-anthropomorphic counterparts, but because they're so accustomed to eachother they can understand eachother perfectly. It's then simply translated for the player

It was just common for the culture, because being able to spot movement is way more important to the gene pool than being able to tell red from a color that they rarely see that far south. With both my grandfathers, an uncle, and brother all colorblind, it's just fun to see the representation.

I really like the idea that Ferb knows Perry is a secret agent and juat doesn't tell anyone. And nothing will convince me that Perry and Stacy aren't best friends.
Me too
Canonically Stacy even knows about Perry being a secret agent and helps him hide it. This would make a lot of sense.
That is very late within Phineas and Ferb, but after that summer Stacy and Perry would definitely meet each other but pretend to not see each other as their form of meeting up.
William Afton is (at least partially) blind post non-fatal springlock failure.

-Eyes look super different from other characters in tse graphic novel
-Eyes described as “dead and flat”

Something that I picked up from many botw fics is that Link, being mute/selectively mute, learned sing language from the Zora. To add to that, Zora have sign language because it‘s the best way to communicate underwater.
I mean they're also fish dudes, so they could maybe talk like whales ya know. Specially since water can be murky and dark.
He is a cat man
every fic where we meet Aizawas cats, one is ALWAYS called Bastard! most of the time they're a fluffy grey cat i've noticed
I read a fic once where all of his cats were named Bastard
Also on Aizawa-related headcanons, it’s basically fanon that he and Present Mic are married and have adopted Shinsou and Eri, and I love that for them
@@madeleinerawlins5911 omg yes.
It adds nothing to a fanfic and sometimes it doesn't even make it to the final version, but it's just fun
ngl, i would give my faves middle n last names if i wasnt both lazy n bad at names
Okay that's actually a really good way to combine the names of characters.

Every cartoon character has its own alternate universe where they are actors in their shows. Infinite blooper reels; infinite entertainment.
Coming back to reality is slightly disheartening.

This is legit my favorite headcanon in the entire fandom
My headcanon about bakugo is that the reason he is so angry is beacuse his quirk make it so he sweat a exploisive chemical that is also use in heart medicin so his boddy develop more adreanlin ao his hearth dont stop.

My Ninjago headcanon is that ninjas' bodies are affected by their powers, for example:
Jay always feels static energy in his body making his hair stand on end, so in the first series he had very compact hair because he used a lot of hair gel to keep it in place.
Kai can sometimes burst into flames depending on his emotions (over-excitement, anger, stress, ect.)
Jay sometimes suffers from short seizures and takes medication for it.
Zane tends to shortcircut if he hasn't cleaned his gears in a while. He is the only one besides Wu to be fluent in sign language.
If Cole gets too stressed out or overwhelmed, he causes small earthquakes to happen, same with when he gets too angry.
My Headcanon is that the Ninjas age slower than regular people. And that explains why they look the same in Dragons Rising
No Zane doesn’t contain a functional cooling system his body is just cooled by his icy powers

Not really a headcanon from a fanfic, rather from various things I've seen over the years. But I like to think Mario has a completely unhinged side he sometimes shows. Like, he uses a shotgun to kill a fly in his house.
That's fucking hilarious!
SMG4
I like to imagine that he just talks to the fly in third person like in Mario Teaches Typing while chasing it through his house with his shotgun. "Mario's gonna fucking kill-a you, motherfucker! Wahooo!"
I swear to God that I’ve seen the Pink Panther shoot out a light when the narrator told him to “Kill the light,” so this reminded of that possibly nonexistent scene.

There was that one headcanon that I picked up from Quora (not a fanfic I know but I felt like mentioning it). It is that Hermione discovered her magic ability while she was reading Matilda. After reading one of the scenes from the book where Matilda used her powers, Hermione also attempted to follow along by trying to drag a book towards her and she succeeded!
omg I love that! Totally accepting that as canon now
I've never heard this one before, it's utterly delightful! Perfectly in character for her
OMG IM STEALING THIS!!!
Looooooooolll
I can imagine the scene in my head
I've been a fan my entire life and hearing it wasn't canon genuinely made me do a double-take
As someone who has read all books many times and used to love harry potter when i heard about the snape being draco's godfather headcanon it was like suddently everything in his character made a little more sense, him becoming a death eater as a teenager, his paralels with sirius inside the story, his hatred towards harry growing stronger after their duel in the first movie, him having a clear bias and a protectiveness towards draco out of all his slitherin students, his whole presence in the cursed child book especially his softness while talking to dracos kid and helping him, i dont really engage with hp stuff animore but i whole heartelly believe that this should be canon
meh, idk, it doesn't work for me, just cause of the class difference between the Malfoys and Snape-- as an adult he's a teacher, which is shabby but respectable, but by upbringing he's not only a halfblood, but also from a working class family.
If he wasn't before that blood oath he took for Narcissa should count.
This makes so much more sense now actually. And I think the scientists and professors would get a good laugh at some of the typing ironies.
Reminds me of how Intelligence Factor handled typing/infinity energy. Too tired to explain rn but i recommend just readibg the fic if your curious. (Or asking me, i might elaborate later)
and then they screw over all that research, POKEMON ARE NOW EVERY TYPE BECAUSE OF TERASTALLIZATION

Bloodbending is some sort of reverse form of healing, therefore all healers have the potential to be bloodbenders and vice versa however many few can learn to do both... You think blood bending you could be like, a controlled blood letting? You could also use it to staunch blood flow to a wound, possibly?
Damn that’s a cool one!

I have so many Sonic headcanons that are canon to me, although most of them are my own imagining. Here are a few because I feel like it:
- Espio's from Silver's time period.
I love the first one!!

Okay. I immediately accepted all of these, especially the one about Shadow. I knew he was actually a softie too.

Yeah, I'll adopt the Vector one into my beliefs.
I bet the sign language scenario would go like this:
Sonic & Shadow: *Roasting tf out of each other in sign language*
Everyone: What are they doing?
Tails: *Trying not to laugh since he also knows ASL*
I'm adding to your headcanon that Tails also knows sign language since he's a big fan of Sonic and knew him quite a bit in his classic years! ^^

Even without the musicals, Don gives big theatre kid energy
Their Dad was a Famous Movie star. The Entire family is made up of Theatre kids ✨✨❤️💙💜🧡✨💛✨✨do you not remember the snow day episode? All of them were singing their hearts out
Yes
I love that headcanon, and another headcanon that I really like is Donnie being aro/ace and non-binary (he/ they pronouns). He is because I said so (I'm projecting because I relate to him)
They’re all theater kids. April is a theater kid too, but I feel like she’d try to hide it. If they all went to high school, they’d all be involved in the shows. Donnie and Leo would compete for leads, April would be the stage manager, Raph would be her assistant, and Mikey would help paint sets and help run costumes. That’s my headcanon.
My favorite head cannon is that Chell in portal ain’t mute, she’s deaf. That’s why she never responds, there’s no hands or lips to read
Press A to talk (It actually makes you jump)
NO WAY, I HAVE THE EXACT SAME HEADCANON!!!!
(Screen says "why don't you talk?")
Chell: "How the hell was I supposed to know you guys were talking?"
Honestly, I believe that she's both deaf AND mute.
According to Valve, Chell doesn't talk because she's stubborn and doesn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of hearing her reply
Here are some of my canon headcanons while we're at it
-Sonic the Hedgehog has ADHD
-The gibberish Mario and Luigi speak whenever they talk in the Mario and Luigi games is Italian
-Pokemon from the amorphous egg group have limited shapeshifting abilities(they can change their physical features, but their anatomy will genuinely stay the same)
-Papyrus from Undertale learned to cook from Undyne.
Gardevior in the amorphous egg group 👀
Isn't the Undertale one canon?
@@miraculous_lady_noir2179 Can't say for sure, but it makes enough sense for me to consider it canon.
Also another undertale one while we're at it: Sans has a permanent smile. Bro doesn't have the ability to frown.
Jesus Christ I keep forgetting that Sonic having adhd isn’t actually canon because like. Look at him.
Most of my headcanons are about how things work in Universe because I'm that kind of Nerd.😂
Also the one that Zuko didn't know who any of the Gaang was named except Sokka until he joined up with them and before that he only knew them as the Avatar, the Avatar's bison, Sokka, Sokka's sister and the little green one.
i like that idea but i always assumed he knew "the little green one" before she joined the team but never bothered looking into it, like just seeing a poster on a wall and just ignoring it kinda deal
Lol
tbh that makes sense, idk why but when katara first mentions zuko by name in the show i was somehow confused that she knew his name. zuko not knowing absolutely makes sense, especially for aang and toph who joined in s2
Of course this means that Iida could technically use Mina’s acid like a sort of turbo fuel in a pinch.
i love how this video is a safe space for sharing headcanons for any characters from any fandom
I have a mild obsession with making evil looking characters super silly and cute on the inside. Anyway, Ganondorf is a cake enthusiast. His favourite flavour is red velvet. I don't care what anyone thinks.
Ganondorf would like red velvet cake! XD
I love red velvet cake
I wonder if ganondorf has a kitchen we can all make cakes in
@@freezingcoldmilk That makes sense, his character color theme has always been a sort of mottled red, so it would make sense.

Pokemon headcanon: Red is selectively mute, but Blue Oak just understands him no problem, always. Also they're married and went to Alola for their honeymoon
Agreed
This is real (my uncle works at game freak and he said so) (trust)
REAL AND CANON (source: trust me bro)
alola debut mentioned !!
I have some Muppets headcanons:
- Animal is paid in dog treats
- Statler and Waldorf are secretly Fozzie's biggest fans, they just have to heckle him because they have a reputation to protect
- Rowlf has a cabin in the woods
- There are so many pig characters because the theater also housed a butcher shop at one point
-Kermit is allergic to cats
Just wanted tp point out that in Muppets Babies, Statler and Waldolf are actually rather nice to Fozzie. So I could see that
Hazbin Hotel: We see a picture of Charlie during an emo phase in Lucifer's study, but this phase probably lasted like a day tops after she made ONE mean comment to someone and she was so remorseful about it, she became the ray of sunshine she is today to make up for it.
I don't read many fics, but I do like to make my own headcanons! A recent one I came up with is that Midorya has at least one scar from his childhood of bad bullying. Most likely a burn scar from Bakugou. But with all the new scars he has from battle, he barely remembers anymore
This is my own headcanon but here we go
Each 2012 ninja turtle chose their mask color based on what their favorite holiday is
So Leonardo loves Independence Day because he feels a lot of pride for NY, and the rest of the U.S.A for that matter (and he loves fireworks)
Donatello loves Easter because he adores hiding eggs in really strange ways for his brothers
Michelangelo loves Halloween because it gives him a free pass to dress up (and scare his brothers)
And Raphael (even though he won't admit it) loves Christmas. And the second the clock strikes twelve and it's December 1st he's awake putting up decorations
i honestly really like this theory
This is really cute!
I love this as a theory. I feel like that would absolutely be something that happened especially the Raph part
I've got some too!
For Encanto:
- Bruno's visions cause pain.
Furthermore, Camilo had a nightmare that night, explaining his last line in the song: "he sees your dreams, and feasts on your screams"
- Bruno has DID, explaining Hernando and Jorge.
Think of how Bruno might act after he finally lives with the family again: he doesn't eat a lot, his knocking, Hernando and Jorge, generally quiet and doesn't let others help him, along with the fact that when he gets startled by someone, he thinks he's still living in the walls and just runs away
For Coco:
- Hector is non-binary. Yes, I played in a musical in which the actor for Hector was non-binary, but I can see it.
- Miguel is able to see the dead post-movie (and maybe during "Proud Corazon" too)
- Hector has trust issues.
- Miguels sister, Rosa, was named after her aunt: Tia Rosita
Okay, I'll stop now, but I've got a ton more!
I read a fanfic once where the author called Miguel's sister Coco (in honor of Grandma Coco).
I've head-cannoned that ever since.
Snape being Draco's godfather also makes sense for that scene in book 6 where Narcissa begs Snape to save Draco's life.
This made my heart happy 😊
My biggest head cannon is that Kaminari has ADHD and/or Dyslexia
i headcanon that Kami struggles with seizures and that's what his "shortcircuiting" is. that it's actually really painful and that only Bakugou and Deku know and they help him out and make sure he's okay

Not from a fanfic but from a comment to a fan animation that I think most Omori fans are familiar with
Kel having ADHD; to me, it just sort of makes sense. I'm not diagnosed yet but I believe that I may have ADHD as well, so there were a couple of scenes with Kel where I could absolutely see myself doing.
Like using my supposed lunch money for something I don't actually need (One of his dialogues at Hobbeez), or saying things I don't actually mean to say (Kel accidentally causes a scene at Church because he yells and accuses someone of theft during a sermon)
And maybe the diagnosis of ADHD might be the reason why his parents seem to care more about his siblings than him
Not familiar with your fandom, but when I see "Kel has ADHD" out of context, my brain immediately goes,
"Is it truuuue?"
"I do, I do, I do!"
WHY does that fit the Kenan and Kel show so well?
As far as I’m aware it’s not cannon, but in pokemon a group of zoruas is a bamboozle. It completely makes sense given what zoruas are like, and I just absolutely love this idea
That's adorable and I'm stealing this now
I am not really in the Pokemon fandom at the moment but I have immediately accepted this as 100% correct.
That’s adorable
We need canonical names for groups of pokemon
A group of furret should be called a walk
I think Valve actually confirmed that. Either way, I love that headcanon.
@@kaysrandomchannel4618 I think so too.
I read a fanfic once where Astarion had claustrophobia, and I now fully accept that as canon. it just makes sense

The biggest headcanon of mine I keep in my head is that 2012 Michelangelo is older than he says he is to his brothers because he doesn't want to ruin the dynamics before by being the older brother
He says it's been a few months and he's a few months older, but its probably a year and a half, maybe even two years, and he doesn't want to admit that he's that much older to them
I love this one, it's got so much angst potential
That's exactly why there isn't cheesecake in Castlevania, it would make Alucard too powerful
this reminds me of the time i put the guide from terraria in Tomodachi Life and his favorite food was bread, so now i imagine his favorite food is bread in terraria
I love the idea of Vampires having their favorite food just not be blood but something funny, like this and Valvatorez from disgaea
About the 7th one- As an autistic person, I've never heard or thought about Papryrus being autistic, but it's canon to me now lol.
I think people infantilized Papyrus because of his personality, because he seemed innocent and because he was the younger brother, I think it was just because of that.
Papy being autistic is canon now.
2:08 this is… surprisingly accurate to the canon reason, in that it’s a feature of the spirit that can be given, taken away, and passed on.
I'm into a lot of vocal synth fandoms and I have two major headcanons:
1) There are two separate people called Flower - v flower and ci flower (the Flower available on Vocaloid and CeVio respectively).
*steals the flower one*
THE VFLOWER ONE IS SO REAL THOUGH???
like i love Vflower SO much, Ci Flower is not V4flower:(
@@YYuVOXAgreed like the Ci Flower isn’t Flower, that’s Grass
Omg, I didn’t expect to see another vocal synth fan here! Anyway, I love these! Especially the first one, though I view them more as cousins. V Flower is the older, more extroverted one (though still a gremlin) and Ci Flower is the shy younger one! (because she’s newer)
tbh i thought v flower and ci flower being siblings was already canon (or at least the closest thing you can get to canon with vocal synths) 💀
The only “headcanon” I had that didn’t have enough evidence to be considered a theory/hypothesis was this whole thing about Finn and Flapjack being the same person reincarnated
But then Fionna and Cake comes along and decides to canonize Flapjack to the Adventure Time universe, so can it even be considered a headcanon anymore, now that it (kinda) has proof?
Excuse me what? As someone who grew up watching flapjack and hasn't watched much of Fiona and cake yet, I'm baffled.

I have a whole heap of TMNT headcannons, which change depending on the interation I'm dealing with. Some of my personal favourites are
-Rise Donnie is actually deaf, and that's why he's so good at reading lips and sign language. His hearing aid, homemade, are hidden in his goggles.
-2012 Leo is transgender, MtF, and Karai gave her gender envy, rather than it actually being a crush
-1987 turtles don't consider themselves as brothers. They keep a personal distance between one another, and are friends rather than family
-2003 April named her children after months as well.
Ah a fellow wings of fire fan.
Everything Neil Gaiman has ever written exists in the same literary universe
Aside from subtle canon crossovers here and there, the idea that all fiction "exists" in the Sandman's realm, The Dreaming, makes this plausible
now i’m thinking about aziraphael and crowley running into the main characters of the graveyard book (or ‘the day i swapped my dad for a goldfish’, which is infinitely funnier)
@@thelazyomegawolf939 There's a character from "The Graveyard Book" that has a connection to one from "The Ocean at the End of the Lane," so it's already part of the web of Gaiman lore

And Luigi speaks for him in Super Paper Mario, so that makes sense to me. Headcanon accepted
That kinda does make sense. Explains his body language in Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam. When he first appears, he responds to Starlow with his fist in the air while facing the player.

“Perry you are so right i should go with Coltrain (im being phonetic cut me some slack) to that concert”
genuinely forgot present mic wasn't canonically deaf or HOH lol, im not in the fandom anymore but its so ingrained into my head from the sheer amount of fanfic i read

I'm stealing the body image and fox hcs
I have a hc that Alador had gone to bat for his kids and that's why he didn't get a day off for five years. In the few scenes regarding the kids interacting or talking about him, it seemed like they genuinely felt that their dad would stand up for them and that his lack of presence in their life was more recent development. It got me thinking that he pushed back on something big and Odalia realized that for her to keep the kids to her expectations then she would need to keep them and Alador as separated as she could, so she increased his workload to the point that he was barely functioning.
Your mind god damnit, permission to steal these hcs?

It wasn't a fanfic, but I adopted a headcanon that a friend told me. In the Hobbit movies, Thranduil, Legolas's dad, the elf king is blind. Because of the dragon fire. He just hides it with magic. I just watched the movies not that long ago, and it actually makes some sense.
At least partly blind, I'm pretty sure that one of his eyes was burned away
Damn, so that's why he has that blank stare in every scene he's ever in 😂
For the Avatar headcanons, the guy is actually RIGHT.

That second headcanon is nice and all, but I could easily see it being more that Olimar believes they have grown to be close friends due to their shared experiences. You know, trauma bonding and all that. But Louie just doesn't care at all because if you were to put him on an alignment chart he's just Chaotic Hungry.
My headcannon is that in the Diary of a Wimpy kid universe, Instead of screaming, they just yell "SCREAM!"
The scooby doo squad are all in a poly relationship (minus scooby) because fred says "unless were dating, then you can call me freddy" and they ALL call him freddy at some point
You know that’s very revealing.
Bro has so much rizz he landed himself 2 girlfriends AND a boyfriend
@@0XBlondie96X0 fred has a secret to get ladies and dudes
Does Scoob never call him Freddy or are you simply too much of a coward to let him join the polycule? Scooby Doo passes the Harkness test and that fact gives me life
@@theflyingspaget I can’t remember a time where Scoob ever called him Freddy. And second, ew! Why would Fred Jones ever get up to something like that?
The Snape being Draco's godfather isnt even too mucb of a stretch, he made an unbreakable vow with Mrs. Malfoy to protect Draco.
I disagree. The fact that he is from a different age group than Lucius and the fact that it’s never brought up once.
I love making headcanons that have no proof but also have no proof against them
Ah the old favourite
Drops a headcanon
Refuses to elaborate
"No, actually"
Leaves
"Why do you believe that, it's obviously not true."
"Why do you _not_ believe that, it obviously _is_ true."
I love this logic sm 😂
He stands in front of them and says, "Physics, physics physics physics."
Some people over the years have theorized that perhaps he was actually saying some kind of advanced science, to see if the kids were far gone enough (they were being intellectually juiced up by the bad guys to make them super smart for nefarious purposes). They didn't understand him end just heard him say the word physics a few times, but the fan theory goes that he was really saying something else.
This would be kind of similar to both your theory here, and the perception filter that is supposed to be on the TARDIS as well.
I've also heard a theory that the Dr Who theme song is actually the Doctor's name 😅
A whole slew of Peter Parker hcs:
Peter Parker 100% read fanfics in his time before becoming Spider-man and partially into it.
I've imagined personal headcanons for the Pokémon anime, specially for Ash:
- He has many scars from his adventures, fights, falls, injuries caused by wild pokémon that attacked him while he was protecting his friends/pokémon, etc...
- He can hide the majority of his scars with his aura powers
- Only a few of his friends know the exact amount of scars he has.
