Excellent kits. Wish that the RFS would look at a broader adoption of kits such as these instead of the standard style "workplace" first aid kits. The IFAK should be standard issue for all mitigation, RAFT and chainsaw operators.
Thanks for the video. Do you have a purpose IFAC for hunters? You didn't mention anti-septic or pain killers. I've found Hydrogen Peroxide to be a very good anti-septic, but it has a limited shelf-life. Do you have any knowledge or experience using Bicarbonate of soda as a coagulant? I've found it effective on shallow, bleeding cuts; better than just a bandage and less restrictive on the hands. You didn't mention anti-septic or pain killers. I've found Hydrogen Peroxide to be a very good anti-septic, but it has a limited shelf-life.
Mike Thanks! The Operator IFAK in multi cam is real popular with hunters. We don’t do meds in our kits and the wound cleaning is saline. I haven’t heard of sodium bicarbonate for haemostasis!

Ben Plummer I fully agree! Hopefully we’ll keep doing our thing and it’ll spread!
