I don't think it needs to be that massive though, other channels that do news either make them much smaller, transparent, and only just one or two, not the whole sides 😭

So basically they are making it so that everyone has to play like I do, free to run until your stam goes down to %75 then you trot until it's full again and repeat. Of course I wasn't doing it because I tought it would have a penalty but I did it so if I have to fight or run I will be able to, I was doing it back in legacy and I continued to do it in Evrima because having less than %70-80 stamina gives me anxiety. So I'm glad to see that my playstyle is getting rewarded once again.

@@alcbliitz If you are playing Cera so you don't rely as much on stamina when fighting sure, but as anything else any less than almost full stam is a cause for concern for me, specially carno and omni since their abilities use a ton of stam
The funny thing about a rex having low stam is that it's actually marathon hunter, meaning it's supposed to have a lot more endurance than prey over speed. Hopefully devs take this into account for rex updates.
@@DitieBun i thought the same... idk what really was the case back then, but gameplaywise it was cool to have that one apex relying on "burst" dmg and speed, while the other one is slower, but inflicts heavy bleeding damage over time and never leaves you alone. ambush of giga is quite slow in legacy, but trot is different and normal run lasts really long in comparison to rex, while you can even recover stam while still moving. i think this sort of style should remain in the game, while more stuff just gets added to it.
14:20 I will agree with you on the map part, because I have gone back to legacy a few times because I like how V3 looks and stuff but I completely regretted it every time I got into combat, like doesn't matter if I win or lose because no matter what some people might say, legacy pvp is just objectively terrible, like I'd take most unbalanced state of Evrima pvp over legacy. But I also understand that some people just can't play evrima because it's just a heavier game to run compared to legacy. Like you need at least a 1060 6gb to play Evrima properly while Legacy can run on a toaster if you lower the settings and the resolution scale because it's an older game.
Anyone with less than a 1050 ti is not having a good time with most modern games really. The problem with Evrima is that barely anyone can get decent fps, even with great graphics cards.
@@SirKolass What I realized with Evrima is that most of the performance problems seems to come from the server, like on a full server I get 80-100 ish fps on my rx6600 + r5 5600x pc, but on a 25 player server I get the same fps if not more on 1440p, I also noticed that even on a completely empty server looking at center drops your FPS quite a lot so it's also a map problem. At this point we can only hope to see it improve on Gateway.
I dont watch the whole video but the green stuff is the plants (i forgot how theyre called) that are on the water. So that means that if u swim in such water, your back will become green, i guess? As a croc you will be completely covered with it, if you swim underwater.
Duckweed stays on the surface thats why it only sticks to the back, cuz when you resurface you lift them up, when you push them down onto the water though they wouldn't really stick

To me it seems like their trying to implement a system that’ll make you walk everywhere and only run in fights or to flee, which is realistic in a real world survival scenario, but just annoying for traveling a map that’s too big for the amount of players it can hold, going to be far worse on the bigger gateway map soon to come
If the devs actually worked on optimization, maybe people would come to evrima. Specifically in officials. A community server with 120 players is running smoother than officials.

The Diablo gaining that duckweed on its back is from the new locational effects thing, apparently it’ll improve how your dinosaur looks when wet, covered in duckweed, dirty, bloody, etc. The duckweed apparently is permanent unless you wash off in clean water according to dondi

Though I still really think they will be in the game for a few reasons, really think the devs are saying this just for multiple reasons, even if the primal carnage lore is scrapped for the magna strains, they can still have the magnas strains in the game since there meant to be the perfected hypos without the constant hunger, they have already made lore for the magnas that’s not related to primal carnage. Also they made models, sounds, and animations for the magnas. Also in the past I’ve seen kingjaffads videos on the matter in the past that would suggest the lore with primal carnage may still be on the table perhaps. Any how appropriate the info👍
Is it just me or is dondi actively trying to remove all the fun from this video game? Does he not realize it is not fun to be forced to try everywhere because if you use a bit of stamina you are guaranteed to lose a fight? This game is going to devolve into exactly what Legacy was where Whoever has the most stamina at the beginning of a fight automatically wins. The map is far too big to force everyone to try around and never use stamina out of fear of giving it to come back and being caught without 100% stamina
This game is not fun. it's a barebones walking simulator that the only fun and engaging activity it has right now is having a 1.0 dino and fighting/killing stuff. you even stated that since this affects combat, it will affect "all of the fun". These changes they are making are necessary for the game to have more depth in the long run, once other gameplay systems are implemented and we can finally have a proper gameplay loop in place (perks, actual reason to nest, better IA, better juvie gameplay, humans, better diets and physiological systems and environmental mechanics) you know? things a SURVIVAL game should have. I get why you think like that but please, even if it's true right now, stop thinking about The Isle as a pvp deathmatch.

A thought, If they are so dedicated to those details that increase realism and immersion in the game, which it is great, I don't understand why they left out something as important as the previous sense of smell, and changed it for this kind of icon radar that is so unnatural and not immersive that There is now, I feel like it's something huge that was lost, being able to track the recent steps of an animal to be able to find it was one of the things that made me start playing the game, it seemed so cool to me, now well... it's one of the only things that I don't like in the game, and I try to omit in my mind.
Wasn't it said it was hard for colorblind people with the old airborne flecks? With as many kinds of smells as there are, they would need even more colors or shapes or some way of telling things apart, which the icons solve without having a metric tonne of particle effects. The icons are likely easier on performance too. I know I'd like some more "realistic" scent indicators, but some things get compromised for clarity and gameplay

Interesting and at least so far I like the plans they have for stamina. I always _hated_ how certain dinos _cough cough looking at you Carno or Stego, cough_ could sprint forever and not run out of stamina and would end up catching up to you and killing you. Sounds like stamina Is going to be much more important than it Is now and I appreciate that.. will make fights and the overall gameplay more strategic, which I like. Also, in regards to Legacy not having a very in-depth stamina system, it's true that it didn't.. but there was a thing about Legacy that I found out after I never touched Legacy again and I believe not many people knew is that your healing was actually affected by how full your stomach was [and I think your water too but I can't remember for certain about that one]. The lower your stomach was, the longer it would take your dinosaur to heal (both bleed and actual health).. that was the only really complex thing so to speak that Legacy had.. the rest was pretty much blegh.. anyways, wanted to point that out because it was brought to my attention after you talked in extent about how you thought stamina worked back in the day heh
honestly it sounds really bad. sure managing stamina will be important, but it'll just be a lot more annoying when trying to find food or while you're starving it'll be impossible to hunt since you'll be actively rushing to get food.

@@alcbliitz It's really not that different from legacy, except that legacy is bare bones and broken. There are also realism servers in PoT, people don't have to play it as a mmo.
Annoying tbh how Dondi just continues to consistently blame the players for the game's own flaws. There is no right or wrong way to play the game, people just play it. If any given feature sucks it's because of the game and/or the way it's implemented, not the players themselves desperately trying to squeeze any semblance of fun from the experience.

Why would anyone ever want a change like this? Turning the game into a walking simulator is boring as heck and so unecessary. Literally no one had a problem with being able to sprint across the map? The map is very large, this is gonna slow the pace of the game down to a crawl for no reason. It literally doesnt add anything good to the game

Why would anyone ever want a change like this? Turning the game into a walking simulator is boring as heck and so unecessary. Literally no one had a problem with being able to sprint across the map? The map is very large, this is gonna slow the pace of the game down to a crawl for no reason. It literally doesnt add anything good to the game
