Hey everyone! I have been absolutely loving my OneFinity CNC and I continue to make projects on it, almost on a daily basis. Please let me know what type of CNC content interests you the most (e.g. the process from start to finish, the CAD + CAM design, watching the carving section, etc.) so I can tailor the videos to your interests.
Have a great day and go make something awesome.

Eating my Cafe Rio tres leches and quesadillas while watching the latest Eigen Designs video. Can life get better? I submit that it can not! Great job 👏 👍

YOU HIT 1K TODAY!!! I refreshed your sub count at least 10 times today in anticipation of you hitting it. Well done Logan.
And thank you for the continued support of my channel. I always look for your comments on my videos. I sincerely appreciate the love.

More on the way! When does your CNC come in?

I dont know if you know this, but that dial indicator on the dewalt planer, you can turn that to 1" and your stock will be exactly 1" so you dont have to worry about the gauge on the right side of the planer:). But keep on creating content! LOVE IT!

Hey! Yes I do know about that, but I actually haven’t tested the accuracy since I changed out my cutter head to the Shelix. It’s supposed to be the same with the larger OD cutter head, but I haven’t tested it yet.
Btw, are you a full time woodworker now? I saw one of your TikTok videos that said your corporate job was being relocated so you were now doing your side hustle full time.

@@EigenDesigns I guess you can say so! Lol. Still haven’t fully left the Corp job yet, but I’ve been doing 55+ hour weeks on the “side” hustle!

@@customgrains do you sell cutting board conditioner on your Etsy store? I’d like to support you.

@@EigenDesigns I actually quit Etsy due to the high fees! I’m in the process of revamping my whole website at CustomGrainsMN.com. I’ll let you know when I add that product!!! Thanks so much!!! 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🙏🏻

Just watched, I love the detail in Fusion 360, I'd even watch the entire process of you creating it, although I understand a lot of people don't use Fusion 360. I have a lot of trouble with Fusion 360 on my Openbuilds Workbee with the Z-axis so I am always trying to watch what other people do to make it work for them.

Great job dude! Trinket trays are probably some of the first projects I'll be doing with my onefinity, along with a few woby jigs. :-)
I've messed with fusion360 a bit for 3d printing, but noth9ing really serious yet. On my to-do lol
CNC projects with resin inlays are always great to see. Maybe some custom push sticks for your sawstop too.

    Thanks

Hey Jim, thanks for the support :) I ended up finding an american flag picture online and just coverted it to an SVG file using a free online coversion site.

My onefinity should be here shortly. Was your DC running when you were hogging out the trays? I went for the wall mount option as im out of space. I figure if it makes heavy dust like that Ill just build a trough at the bottom and vacuum that out at the end.

    • @EigenDesigns
      @EigenDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey George, yes my dust collector was running while I was carving out the bulk of the material inside the trays. What I have noticed is that when your dust boot partially overhangs the end of your wooden stock, it loses the suction around the bit and shavings tend to fly all around the CNC wasteboard. When it's just carving on top of a flat piece of wood the dust boot does a much better job collecting the cuttings.
I am interested to see how the veritcal mount system works out. I have seen a few people do that as a means to save space, but part of me wonders if the life span of the Y axis motors will be reduced since they have to fight gravity for every movement. I would love you to share your experiences once you have yours set up!
      Happy building!

Hows the new enclosure working out ? any changes you would make ? As a new CNC r i love watching the design process and how to do things. Great videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge its greatly appreciated !! P.S. the sketch up file 2017 opened great Thx.

That's fantastic news! I haven't come across anything significant yet in terms of major re-design items. One thing I plan to do down the road is put in some drawers for additional storage, but that will be further down the line. I am really excited for you to get your CNC!

@@EigenDesigns Thanks. it looks like November for me, so enough time to get things in order. i'm going to have to put the table on casters though, so i'm not sure how that will go. i may add some lock down feet as well ? not sure yet.your enclosure is big enough for the suck it dust boot i take it. lol. ill keep in touch. I decided to go with the carveco maker software so im trying it out and trying to learn it. big learning curve for me but interesting. cheers, Craig
