Buell's are not the fastest bikes around...but damn if they aren't the most enjoyable, addicting, beautiful sounding and looking machines on two wheels...Makes me want to take out my X1! There's just something about them. The sound combined with the torque and seating position/handling that just makes me never want to go around the long way one more time!
I don't understand, I don't know a lot about bikes. I found 1100 or 1200 buel. I figured it would be a lot faster than the 600 ninjas or other bike lower than 1200

that’s how you properly ride a motorcycle in general. Road he’s familiar with, staying in his lane, pushing it hard enough to have fun, but not so hard that he’s risking a crash, and only wheeling on longer straights. Good man!
@@viciouscycles88 having a pile of liter bikes over the years I randomly rode a buell xb9s in the smokey mtns n loved it. Now have an 09 xb12s, 98 S1 and a 2015 EBR 1190sx and turbo vrod. The xb12s is my favorite bike to hop on n rip up the streets with. Just fukn love it. Theres nothing like them. The 1190 is a fukn monster but the xb12s is just fun in town and curvey roads. Buddy also has an 05 xb12s we just put an nhrs1250 kit on ported heads with the stock valves/springs and nhrs cat3 cams and with just the factory buell race ecm its is a substantial power gain from my 09. Both have d&d exhaust. I'd highly recommend doing it if u get another u wont be disappointed. I will bein doing a similar build to mine this winter but hammer performance 1275 kit, impact 560 cams an ported heads. His rips wheelies is 3rd with hardly any clutch. It's a riot.

ripmax333 this bike technically is a Harley. They are just modified sportster motors in a chassis Buell built. The insurance even is considered a sportster so it's super cheap. The only Buells built without Harley motors are the 1190's technically EBR they were made after the Harley Buell breakup
It does drive me crazy! It's been that way for the last two days off and on. I unplugged my battery for a few and it quit. Not sure why it did it but the bike ran fine so I didn't worry about it

Buells kick ass. Awesome handling. Zero to 100 they hang with anything. Xb series are great bikes. Sound awesome just fun to ride n rock solid. Had all 1000 sport bikes until I got into Buells. Just got an 2015 EBR 1190sx. 171hp to the wheel on Dean Adams exhaust. It's a fukn animal.

1990 they are Renthal street bars low bend. They are standard size bars not the typical dirt bike bars. I agree other than not having a 6th gear Buells are amazing highly underrated bikes

It’s simple my man. 1st gear 3500 rpm hit it. 5000 rpm shift to second no clutch just shift keep going. Either way it’s all about higher rpm and your good. Just keep your foot over back brake incase it gets too high. But yeah they are wheelie machines.
U can put an XB9 primary gear and chain in the case its like going up a couple teeth on the rear sprocket. St Paul HD sells them. As far as 2nd gear wheelie. Should come up real easy in 2nd with a lil clutch around 3500 rpm.

i think its too late for the answer, but the flashing light is the trouble Code light (it says there are no Problems found). Check the ECM Diagnostic Port and Check if there are short wirings between Ground and ECM-Send. Hope this will fix.
What exhaust are you running? Make sure u send your ECM to Ids (intelligent design solution) to tune accordingly. Its 100$ to returned your existing ecm. Then run k&n filter and depending on year u can open up some holes in the air box for more breathing. Also u can run an XB9 primary front sprocket and chain its 34 tooth instead of 38. U will lose a bit of tip speed but not much maybe 500 rpm increase but it will wheelie alot better. Same as going a few teeth up on the rear sprocket.
Best bikes ever created. The feeling overwhelms me from start up to shut off. I have the 08 xb12scg with a lot of carbon fiber. I have owned and ridden many bikes but the buell makes me truly smile
They used modified harley sportster motors until the 2008 Buell 1125 came out. That has the Rotax (Austrian) built liquid cooled motor. The EBR 1190 is essentially a bored out 1125. I've got the 09 1125R
check mine out. I got an xb12r. They aren't the fastest thing ever but they are a bit deceptive! I did a highway roll (which is admittedly where the buell gets beat by faster bikes), against a coworker's dynoed 410 whp evo. We did it on the third honk starting at 50, and I kept in it to 7000rpm in each gear and let out at about 115mph, we were literally neck and neck the whole time, although he still had a lot of steam when I let off and me not so much. From a dig, I doubt he would have been able to catch me in a 1/4 mile. I got some videos up if you're interested
I got it off eBay pretty cheap. I've had it for years it works good. Super stable as you can see. Thanks the bike is super Bad ass. I wish I never sold it.

Zx10 zx14 cbr1000 then switched to Buells and now switched to Harleys. Sport bikes are for young dudes I'm in my mid 30's now so it's down to cruisers. I still like sport bikes but I'm over that stage of my life. The cross plane crank R1 are pretty sick sounding tho
Buells are fun bikes to ride, handle insane, different, and sound kick ass. I owned all liter bikes since I started riding at 18. Mostly cbrs 900,929,954,1000r, zx14, ducati 848, Turbo Vrod. got a buell xb9s for bopin around town a few years ago n rode it in the smokey mountains. Got me hooked. Now i got an xb12s, older tube chassis X1 lightning, and the real deal EBR 1190sx. That bike will absolutely kick the shit out of just about anything out there in corners and acceleration 0 to 140. Once u get a sport twin it's hard to go back to an inline 4. N every squid on the planet has a rashed up r1.
That motor sounds absolutely amazing. Absolutely one of the best-sounding motorcycles in existence, full stop.
Damn I miss those days. XB12R was the most enjoyable bike I've ever owned.

Buell is about the lower end torque and the smooth power delivery in and out of the turns.
