I love how no matter wat Amber has done Gary has always told Leah to love and respect her and never let her talk bad but also told her the truth. He’s doing a great job as a dad

That’s how it always should be. Mothers and fathers should really learn to separate the personal issues that they have as adults from the issues with the children. It’s unfortunate so many broken families won’t do the same.

Yea I think he had a really bad relationship with his own mom & refuses to let that happen with Leah even though Amber has her issues. I think Gary truly understands that not all ppl have it together & that's ok. He's not one to lord that over them, but will hold them accountable.

I don’t know why I have such an issue with this comment. Idk.. I think that’s a terrible thing to base someone’s worth based on grades. All my life I was a C plus student until I got to college and got straight A’s but I turned out better than my pupils! I just remember struggling really bad in school but in real life, I excelled! They all still live with their parents! We are well into our 30s and they still rely on their parents. I have been working since I was 9! Very little of that stemmed from public school. Honestly, it was just life! I worked for one of the richest people on the Planet! I just never understood that pressure, when I turned out better than everyone else that performed better than me when I was in school.

Right ! It’s sad! People need to stop using children as weapons towards the other parent. It’s time for adults to be adults. I love that Gary never used leah as a pawn. Even when Amber was with other guys and even when she didn’t make the right decisions he still let Leah see and talk to her mother. Because kids LOVE their mom and dad. I’m sure Gary can’t stand Amber half the time. He never put Leah in the middle of it.

Not to defend Amber but not totally true, he was immature in the beginning and kept Leah from her at times for no reason, even when she was bettering herself, getting an education and doing the right thing. He definitely used Leah as a pawn way back when. But he matured, and you can never say that he's not a great father. He even chose a wonderful stepmom for her.
That line made me sad : ( she is so much older now and sees the reality of things 😢 poor baby
Leah is amazing. So mature and wise beyond her years. She’s also gorgeous. Gary is a phenomenal dad. Who knew watching 16&P that Gary would turn out to be one of the best dads in the series!

Yeah, never would have guessed it from 16&P, he really was lazy and immature (same with Jo, too) but he and Jo both turned out to be 2 of the best Dads.

All the things that were said in this video, that was the one thing that tugged my heart.... at 1 point, I was amber, my daughter was Leah and James was my son... BY THE GRACE OF GOD, OUR LIVES OUR SO DIFFERENT NOW! GOD BLESS ALL OF THEM!!! ❤
@@laurawrenn6413 that is a blessing, when you want something so bad you will go to hell and back, especially for our children. We arent perfect but owning it and rewriting the narrative is the best thing you can do as a mother in that situation! God bless you!

I agree he has tried his best to co parent and has encouraged Leah to have a relationship with Amber.

Leah has shown such maturity amongst this whole situation the last few years. For her to see the work Amber has put in tells us she has actually worked hard. If only the judge just spoke directly to Leah. Nobody has been more honest than her over the past few years. 😢
A judge rightfully isn't going to take what leah says he is going to take the facts the mere fact that she missed over half her visits with james is enough to prove she doesn't care about the child nor deserve custody

@@missscarlet7902 yeah because she is Andrews victim and he sit back and watched what triggered her when he worked on the set of family boot camp where they met and got her pregnant on purpose knowing it would throw her mind all out of sorts because she wouldn't be able to take her meds and after the baby she'd have to take a while to get them leveled back out again. He love bombed her then triggered her when she was at her most vulnerable mental state cause he knew he'd get the baby and a income for life.

She can't let people or things bring her to that angry place no matter what. She has to learn some self control. I don't doubt though that Andrew is Shady and always had the worst of intentions with Amber
You can say what you want but Gary has grown into a damn good father, and Christina having his back is a huge part of that. The empathy they all hold for Leah’s mom is rare, positive, and special ❤
She's so mature an compassionate, she isn't even jealous that her little brother had the relationship with her mom that she didn't get to have. And she is still worried about her mom and baby brother more than herself, even though she's gotten the shortest end of the stick.
Their daughter has grown up so fast and into a beautiful, smart young lady 💕

yes, but she's a scared lil' girl in so many ways. She's scared to say wat she really means. Instead she says wat Katrina would wanna hear. just say u DO want to spend time with her mom. YES, Gary has matured...now his like it is wat it is right now n if his daughter was happy his k. props! Unlike her bday that he just fuckng made his daughter cry n shit...saying she was late when she was not,just got his ass up n left. I like how he is also supporting of Amber now , yes everythng takes time n she needs to show n let her daughter know how much she wants to be in her life. It’s truly amazing to see Leah go from being a hurt little girl who felt abandoned to an empathetic teenager who can see her mother for the human she is. God made sure to give her a wonderful father for a reason

I agree..people saying she is wise. My family used to say I was wise beyond my years. I now understand it’s because of the trauma I endured. Leah has been through a lot.

I love that Gary has always allowed Leah to mentally form her own opinion about Amber than to influence negative thoughts about her. He’s not a bitter father and I love that for Leah Amber and Kristina
Really sucks for Leah losing James but it's not forever and her mother is the one that got herself in this mess to begin with so I don't feel sad for Amber. James has one hell of a big sister in Leah. Emily and Leah are great role models for him.

It's so.sad hearing her say how much she'll miss her brother. The court system is so flawed. If only they thought about the children in all this. Wonder if they considered him having a sibling before making that judgment.
I have to be honest, I LOVE THIS LEAH !! ❤ I can see her effort and I love the fact that she is allowing herself to build that strong bond back with her mom. My mom was a drug addict when I was a child. I experienced a very traumatic child hood due to her drug use. As an adult, I’ve graduated college and I stained my BBA. I took a psychology class, and it really taught me that mentally we don’t really know our parents when we are children. Yes, we know them as our mother/father, but we don’t know what they went through as a child or what they experienced that may have made them go down a path that may not have been the best decisions for themselves or their children. However, when that person is ready to be clean and get their life back on track, with the proper support and counseling success to a straight life and rebuilding is possible. As, I said. I LOVE THIS LEAH !

Gary & Kristina have done a great job raising Leah however it’s heartbreaking because Amber should see what her violence, selfish ways and drug use has done to her children! Leah had to grow up fast because of Amber’s abandonment and now James won’t have his biological mom in the picture! Everyone makes mistakes but Amber has massive mistakes checklist than the average person and yet this show keeps her on which only continues to enable Amber because she won’t hit rock bottom till she really has no money for drugs or being able to live a lavish life anymore and that’s really when people turn their life around and begin to act right!
Hearing Leah speak she is beyond her years for sure.

My god. Gary was a super supportive boy friend to amber even when she was so horrible to him.. he really tried for their child’s sake. Even after he continued to be a super supportive, selfless, father to Leah. He stepped up and took care of that baby ALONE. God bless this man and may god protect him at all costs. Gary sets the example of what a real man is and should be.

At least it's documented that she wanted him To be around but his father is that one that pulled him away from his mom and sister. So glad to see that Leah sees how much her mother has grown and she is there for her mom.
