Nice playing, melodic and chordal accompaniment just exactly what it was designed for. Brilliant to see the younger generation taking an interest it keeping these skills alive. Well done.
That’s awesome! This guy has a highly trained tongue. I bet he’s a big hit with the ladies! I have been thinking about getting one of these for some time. After hearing (and watching) this video I have decided that I have waited long enough !
Schön zu sehen. Spiele selbst für mein Leben gern Chromatic Harmonica. Suzuki und Seidel. Aber meine Suzuki ist mein Liebling. Eine gute Vorstellung. 👍👍👍👌👌👌 Immer weiter machen. Schaue deinen Kanal weiter an. Viele Grüße Manuel
Diese Harp klingt wie ein Arkorden. Unglaublich. Spiele fast nur chromatic harmonica, aber diese Tremolo gefällt mir sehr gut. Gut gespielt. 👍👍👍👍👍 Viele Grüße und vielen Dank Manux
This is beautiful! My mother used to play one of these. I'd forgotten and kind of tripped over this video. I can remember hearing her play and it was very comforting. But you play much, much better than she did. Funny how young folks are taking up things from the 1970's.
Thank you again Leo, im suscribed so will get your next video, so be looking out for you... this is a song that if i close my eyes i can be sitting in the back of a parisian bar or at the fairground with the big merry go around, with all the yellow lights and horses going up and down as they silently rotate around a wurlitzer belting out this tune to the kids and the smell of candyfloss....thats the empowering vision that this tune can produce...good luck colin
Wow that was beautiful! I've been playing the Blues Harp for nearly 30 years now and am training myself on the Echo now =) a wonderful intrument amazingly played :D Thanks for the video!
Thankyou Leo, i am retired but still do a lot of work in my garage workshop, and i have music playing all the time. mostly country or jazz, and the harmonica is never far away so if the tune is in the right key (c or g) i join in...its a great way to learn..far easier than a keyboard, and one day i will be posting my playing on here...keep it up, try and find a quieter place with less background noise, and play your heart out...i look forward to your next video Leo..
Thx for the suggestion, but I and currently busy in studying, so not many time sooner I will film video. I may film a new harmonica video on holiday. Any way, cheers.
Beautiful playing! This song always makes me think of my mother singing this song when I was a child! I am a beginner and have just got an Echo Harp and hope that one day I'll be able to play this song to her as well as you did! :)
Great playing, nice demo of the Hohner Echo... Really thinking about getting one myself, but I'm considering the Hohner Comet octave also. Thanks for the video.
I don't suggest buying octave harmonica, it is hard to practice harmonica technique. Buy a proper chromatic harmonica e.g. Hohner CX12 or Buy a proper tremolo harmonica e.g. Suzuki SU-21
very well done these harps with double sides are awesome, im 65 and just starting to play and you can even play jazz one one of these harmonicas and bend notes..they are great.
Wow, that sounds great. Would you consider making another recording in a room with nice acoustics and no background traffic noise. If not, that’s O.K. what will be will be.
I have the same instrument. It helps a lot the fact that it has a strong resonance so that after you blow the sound makes an echo, so you can hear 2 sounds at the same time...
I love the way you played this song. Is this a tremolo harmonica? Is it harder to play this harmonica versus a 10 hole diatonic harmonica? I recently got interested in playing harmonica but in the U.S.A, the diatonic blues harmonica is more popular. But, I am interested in playing slow, romantic, nostalgic songs like this one,, Somewhere over the rainbow, and other soft ones like the one you played (La Paloma). I don't care for blues that much; but I do like many Christmas songs like Silent Night. Is Echo harp the same as tremolo harmonica? Well, thank you very much. Please upload other songs. Try Somewhere over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz.
I haven't play harmonica for a while and my harmonica is probably out of tune now lol, may buy a new one later haha. Yes echo harp is just one type of tremolo harmonica. Thx for the comment! Stay safe and healthy!
I am a professional harmonica player. I just wanted to buy one from you. The honher echo 2 sides player like the one that you were playing with. Do you have a contract number to call you right now to place my order?
That sounds very much like "C" to me. Am I correct in assuming that the Hohner Echo Harp is a reversible harmonica with one side in "C" and the other in "G"? If so, please play the song again in "G".
Hi Leo, very nice playing. Have you tried the Swan Tremolos? Are they playable or not worth it? I would want to use them for a couple of songs, nothing fancy. I'm mainly a diatonic player and I play a bit of chromatic too. Thanks!
Lovely rendtion my favrt from a tender age i am now 78 years old keep it up well done South africa
Glad you like the song, Happy New Year 2024 and hope you stay Happy and Healthy!

¡Bravo Leo Yu ! Efra te saluda y te felicita desde la República de MÉXICO...Excelente interpretación..
The tremolo harmonica is very much overlooked nowadays. It's nice to a young person mastering it - and the tongue-blocking technique.
Cheers!
bravo ! jeune homme je suis fiere de toi . en plus j adore cette chanson . MERCI

I think keyboard or piano is easier ..cause you don't use your lungs for it
Also you can't see the harmonica once it's in your mouth @@AndroidFerret

@@leoyu1070 this video uses two-sided tremolo, correct? Can I ask the model?
@@cis4coffee www.hohner.de/en/instruments/harmonicas/tremolo/echo-harp-2x32
@@cis4coffee I actually don't really like this harmonica due to the small range of note, compare to 3 octave chromatic harmonica
