If the developers make the game more complex and with multi-crewed ships they will loose the majority of players. How many people play multi-crew vs single ship is SC? Mainly because it is more fun to have your own ship and you will also be more effective. You will still communicate with voice chat so your not loosing anything by having your own ship fitted the way you like it.
Unfortunately real space maneuvering is not anything fun. You need to rely on instruments and math more than flying. The reason sc doesn't have orbital mechanics and real flight models is because the vast majority of players aren't smart or skilled enough to use them. Why do you think they simplified the mfds? i dont mind a competitive game but being $10,000 pledge deep in SC and cant afford to start again so for me it is not a competitor but to each their own!!! i bet there are lots of people that are pissed with CIG bad business practices and happy to diversify or migrate...
star citizen is going to be an MMORPGTTRSIM so all games that want to compete better hope they have a headstart or player base... with out these the game will be disadvantaged.
if the game plays well i might use this game as an interim as of current i do not play SC because i dont have fun yet... if i start this new game it will be with minimum pledge and play this game from zero to hero...
So they even copy the bugs to make it feel authentic
I didnt fall through and made it.....win 🤣
UI is already better than SC.
Yeah not feeling the Star Citizen... but I am seeing the Starfield and Expanse vibes.
Pass
Be nice to play a game where I fear piracy more than elevators or hangar doors.
@@middleagedbaldguy6774 Amen
After the removal of weapon insurance in star citizen I've been boycotting the game it's nice to know there may be alternatives out there sucks it's not released yet
it was never intended to be insurance my man. there are "other" legitimate things to get upset about. don't put words in the devs mouths.
@Mr.Universe you're free to disagree but from my perspective that's what it was and was the best QoL feature in years
@@Nero-Caesar Its not a matter of opinion I'm just stating the facts my man. I liked it as well but it was a bug and youtubers were trying to push it as a "feature" when was never intended to be. good day :)
@Mr.Universe it's whatever bro I really wasn't looking to argue
Cry more maybe someone will hand u a tissue.
I dont see how it can campete SC. Even if the whole concept is globally close I think both games are too different and do not operate in the same field. Also, and if everything goes accordly to plan, now would be the worst time to be a concurrent against SC.
@arthurjoubeaux6699 This game is only one year into development. Star Citizen was nowhere near this stage in its first year. It will be interesting to see where they go with it. Not to mention that in the state that Star Citizen is in right now with thousands of players locked out in the game. Very unplayable I think it's a great time for another game to sneak in. I'm very much a fan of Star Citizen but wouldn't mind another space game to back and play
@ I say this because of server meshing and whatever will be next, I strongly think SC will gain a much larger audience in the next years ( we there the game stays broken or not ). Either way I already do love the project Verse, it looks passionating and honestly one of the most interesting take on space game
Competitor? Probably not. Another space game? Certainly. Better than Starfield? Of course.
Well it's only year 1, will have to wait and see what it brings
Star shitizen lol. Coughs. It has improved a lot. But it needs a lot of bug fixes. I personally believe we have pieces of the puzzle out of order. Once all is complete it will be insane to play. In mean time I am kinda looking for something to keep me going. But not too good that the space marshal title I got is useless. I have a habit of making bad investments
This year will give a few more answers. If they can pull of the stability we may have something.
MMO? Then no.
I love the graphics, style, and timeline, but I am sick of games that force me to play with the unfiltered masses. I'll wait for some of the upcoming titles that let me choose who and how to play.
@@CptFugu it's so early that we don't even know much about that yet. It may turn out like elite where you can choose.
Instantly stopped caring as soon as I saw the ships.
@@null2470 to each their own for sure
back to ur broken SC hanger lol
You mean ships that works? Star citizen ships will not work irl
Not even remotely close to SC. Its exciting to see something new but its not on the same level as SC and I don't see it competing with SC.
@@kfrashmon your comparing a 13 year game to a 1 year game. With what they currently have it shows high potential. Heck I hope it ends up better.
@@MrSlvr2000 It's not even close to being on the same scope, scale and technology being developed.
star citizen is currently dead to me, with every patch they make everything more tedious and less fun.
It's the workarounds for me every single thing is a workaround and makes it take 2x as long as it should
Especially with the removal of weapon insurance
@Nero-Caesar you mean removal of weapon duplicating.
@@Nero-Caesarships still have insurance on guns
@Rusty_Louie I'm talking about fps weapon insurance
Hope so , cause SC is a mess.. I’m done with SC
very interesting, star citizen is just a dream, so bad made
Russian game? I'll pass on that then
@@lucasshepard6416 yes yes, because all Russians are bad
@@MrSlvr2000 No, because my money will go to Russia. If they had a company outside of Russia and they made a game outside of Russia, I absolutely wouldn't give a damn what nationality the creators are

Rival? Nah.
Its dead Jim.
unreal engine5 lol that means itll play like trash
@@stucclikechucc we gonna find out 😁
@@MrSlvr2000 i mean we already know how unreal engine 5 plays its not that its a bad engine its just that no devs really understand it they just use the tools that are built in. its causing a huge p[roblem in the game industry thers tons of videos on it that show how bad unreal engine 5 is on pc optimization. some say its killing the gaming industry hell its one of the reasons i started playing star citizen to support them and the engine they have as even with the bugs of star citizen its wayyy better than UE5 on the user end id rather support more devs to do there own engines than to copy paste and use built in tools that dont really work like the devs think they do.its one of the reason UE5 has to have some sort of upscale on most the time and why the upscaling always looks like trash with ghosting and artifacts all over the place
Not even close
In a word no. Reason? it lacks vision, Depth, Scope, realism and underlying tech. Its not comparable. Please do fact checking before saying this stuff..

7:30 except that the elevator in SC will just eject you into space and kill you. This one doesn't.
Theres a few types of people thatll play this game.
1. People with lower end hardware
2. People who want something less complicated
3. The people who are the doomer drones, the ones that truly hate star citizen, the ones that get rock hard anytime they see something bad going on in star citizen.

as soon as the ships were shown. i knew this aint anything of a competition for sc lol
You saw the early ships in sc right. Give them time, they are just at 1 year in, who knows what it will be like in 3 or 4 years time.
@ the early sc ships were eons better than this shit. 💩
