I own this specific Optimus Prime, had it for years. The arms have gotten a little loose over time, and I lost the matrix, but compared to the studio series and the newer voyagers, this one is still the best Optimus I've owned.
I have this. It's like a more affordable version of a masterpiece optimus prime and shows how long of a way Hasbro really got from where they started with this version. It's so much more accurate than previous ones. The only issue is the ankles tend to detach a bit but it's such a good overall figure.
No way this beats the leader class version. I never owned this figure, but I did have the leader class. The backpack is the main issue with this. The leader class handles it way better. This figure is hands down the best voyager Prime and probably the second best Bayverse Prime behind the leader class.
@@ArthurBr1000Oficial I had that figure there were breakages like the smoke stacks broke off and the ratchets weren’t working properly and the weapons able to get in the hands

This deserves the title of mini-masterpiece more than the studio series because it's literally a scaled down version of the mpm which was made out of the old leader class, that one was probably the best Optimus Prime Hasbro/Takara has ever made no wonder the voyager version is also dreadful
Speaking of Studio Series, Hasbro and TakaraTomy should get to work on another Studio Series Peterbilt 379 Optimus Prime mold. Or Hasbro and TakaraTomy can recycle and retool the Hunt for the Decepticons Battle Blades Peterbilt 379 Optimus Prime mold and make it combine with Studio Series ROTF Jetfire.
Studio Series: Faux parts but with accurate proportions in robot mode and a not so good truck mode HFTD: Slightly inaccurate robot mode proportions but little to no faux parts and almost accurate transformation + clean truck mode
Based on this video, I made it a goal to aquire one of my own. And as of today, I have one. And it lives up to this video and is easily one of the top Primes in my collection
I just ordered this voyager prime after watching your video!! 🥺 This prime is much handsome than the ss one and the size is big enough to compare with ss ironhide
I like the Stars and moon exclusive a bit better, but this one is still amazing. Ive said since its release when I found it at Kmart, this was the best movie prime you can buy at retail.
I still find it so weird when I hear people say the ROTF leader Optimus was so hard. I still have my figure from all those years ago and even as a kid I found it complex yet easy.
I think it is a very good figure, I mean, it has the transforming complexity as the leader class, but the back, although is very similar to the animation model, is very big. The studio series 32/44 has a better robot mode. But lets be honest, the vehicle mode of the battle blades is way superior
I've been waiting for this throwback so much, this figure is simply a Masterpiece shrunk down. I just got the Dark of the Moon version of this mold which comes with Cometor (the original HFTD version is too expensive for my wallet). And boy was it worth the wait, the fact that it manages to include the blades, integrate the ion blasters and even a movie-accurate matrix of leadership is so dope. And, as always, your content is impeccable, keep the amazing work and keep bringing these old movie classics back to the spotlight. I would love to see a remake of your Lugnut review with the pure white background :) PD: The roof also moves back to allow the head to get out of the chest, but you have to be careful with the sides of the truck so they don't get in the way.
A very very nice figure, I personally prefer this figure over the Studio Series versions since he just feels a lot more solid and he actually uses the truck windshield as his chest section
Have one open and displayed, and another one new in the packaging. While the back back is a little cumbersome. I think this kills every one of the studio series Optimus primes (besides the Bumblebee and RotB versions)
Always wanted to get this figure back in the day, but never could! 😅 he's absolutely dope! I did have the big ROTF leader optimus though! He was incredible! 😁👍🏻
I managed to get the japanese version from a friend who was overseas when it came out, he never opened it and I am aboslutly inlove with it, they paint the matrix and give him the hooks instead of the blades, along with changing alot of that weird brown colored plastic with normal grey and silver for me THIS is THE bayverse Prime, and as far as im concerned I wont ever have to pick up another one for the forseeable future. This lets me build the entire bayverse autobot fleet without breaking the bank.
