- A Rendezvous in Melbourne! For the IFFM. My first in front of a live audience! It was a wonderful experience. Rishi was amazing! He was in great form and Neetu was fantastic! Both hilarious ..and human - this is one of the most honest interviews you'll ever see. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Simi managed this interview so well 👏 especially the question on the bond of father and son. The way she tried to make him think without putting his opinion down. Well done 👏
It's sad that the industry viewed "Amol Palekar way" as someone who won't make it big. The truth is Amol Palekar made some meaningful and relatable movies. Most of the mainstream movies made back then are cringe to watch now. But Amol Palekar movies are timeless and a delight to watch!

The one thing that's really amazing about Rishi and Neetu Kapoor is that they never hid the fact that they had a troubled marriage unlike other celeb couples who pretend to be all love-dovey in front of the public.

My father passed away..yes i loved him like anything means chat even thought ever..nd we had gret bond m his daughter elder .nd he was very sweet caring calm..funny too but I can't dare to talk of bf etc..no never that kind of respect..u can say..it's not fear it's a respect. In Indian family few still Carry on.unlike my younger sister can speak anything. But I can't nor my father ll do ...yes he talk about my marriage etc but nothing like open thing as there was a thin line...respect in my eyes nd same he given..I miss him like crazy. .it's a deep pain in heart neck whenever I discuss. .him I can only pray.

SUMIT Omg What’s wrong with today’s women? No tolorence? I have been married to my wife for 37 yrsIts a shame she decided to sleep in different bedroom three years ago to punish me. However during social events she acts like lovey doves take snaps and post it on Facebook which I never visit.No matter what u try to prove or achieve there is no bond like marriage. It’s a partnership which the couple should share their life. Life is too short to hold grudges.

Not sure why I took so long to watch this. It was the best Bollywood interview I've ever seen. They were so candid and real. Thanks Simi! Your rapport and history with them evidently helped. This man, who we call Rishi Kapoor is, and always be called in the present, the most real man, I have seen on camera to accept his flaws with so much dignity and realisation. Rishi was from our generation. In those days fathers had a different role , they took care of their family . Saying I love you all the time doesn't mean much. Rishi was old school man. These two were perfect couple this is true love a loving father & husband just didn't say I love all the time.so what. RIP Rishi.
The moment where Simi pushed Rishi to think about his role as a father was so powerful and uncomfortable at the same time! Revealed some harsh truths about their relationship, but I really appreciate Simi for delving deep without coming across as intrusive or rude. Obviously having that personal relationship with Rishi means she can get away with doing that...I hope Rishi actually goes away and seriously tries to answer that question.
And how Rishiji, in a moment, sinks into a meditative mood. He really misses the closeness from his children. But he is at a loss 'cause he doesn't know the way.

This interview might have done in year 2016,that time Rishi Ji was not ready to accept what Simi Ji was telling,but during last year 2019,Times Now took interview of this couple in New York,where Rish ji told that he was supposed to be friendly with his Son during his childhood, he missed that kind of relation and regretting for it. This he told after he fell ill and was at the end of treatment in New York. So what Simi Ji told few years back, Rishi ji was to accept finally.One more thing while you comment please maintain the dignity,because person like Simi ji you should not use that kind of words,Comments should be healthy.

Every couple has different dynamic... both Neetu and Babita are strong women in terms of how they thrive with their respective partners. Babita was the estranged bahu while Neetu with an abusive husband. The similarities of both women is their husbands came around when they enter old age... that's the cycle of life.

I feel so privileged to have attended this live in Melbourne and also got to ask Neetu how hard it was to fit in the Kapoor Khandan as a bhahu. She answered the question so honestly n beautifully. Love you both as I have grown up watching your movies and felt honoured to see you in person .

I have always loved this couple . They are completely non-fake and have the least number of controversies. In Bollywood, this is the only couple which openly talks about everything good and bad. Neetu Singh did not belong to a family as rich and prestigious as Kapoors, but she proved to be an ideal lady , a wife, a mother and a daughter-in-law. She was a good actress too. Infact, she was a very big star and one of the top heroines at that time. Kapoors have also spoken well of her. Ranbir Kapoor has got that discipline and humility from her . Rishi Kapoor is also very adorable except that he is a bit loud . But that is acceptable since he is so much senior and comes from a patriarchal family. Also, he is a little bit chauvinistic. But for a marrige to work both the spouses should contribute. Thus, they make a wonderful couple. Their son is also a talented actor who should get married now. Its highly impossible to get a wife like Neetu for ranbir since times have changed. But given that he is more like neetu and not rishi, he might adjust with his wife well. I feel bad that his previous relationships with Katrina and Deepika miserably failed, but again even after breakup, they both continue to be cordial with him and especially Deepika who gets along well with Rishi and Neetu too. They never openly speak bitter about ranbir or his family. I wish that now Alia Bhatt turns out to be a good wife to Ranbir and Rishi improves his relationship with Ranbir.
