i was mind blown at how much Ranbir expressed himself. He truly loved talking with Nikhil Kamath. The way he just started expressing all his feelings regarding his own relationship dynamic with Rishi Kapoor felt really wholesome.
I feel neetuji also seems a bit open & happy after rishi kapoor passed away. Not that she didn't love him or doesn't miss him but she is being herself now
As kapoor men never allowed their women to work etc.. Restricted life.. Kareeena karisma could as babita left her husband.. Their father was a flop actor.. Babita was too but she Walked out of his life
@@JBM0411Babita also does not have a reputation of a good person. So let’s not get into how their personal lives too much. Not all women like to work outside the house. I think this is raw emotion there. He just expressed about his childhood and his dynamic with his father. It make sense to me why he scared of get sattled with one person. But seeing him with his daughter feels like he is breaking the cycle of father-son toxic dynamic. Which tbh we all faced to some degree.
When I watched Ranbir in Animal, I remembered him in barfi, rocket singh, rockstar, ajab prem.., wake up sid, etc. There was a pre existing impression of his, an affection, admiration for his tremendous versatility. Imtiaz Ali ( ace director on an episode of Mid-day's Sit With Hitlist series) nailed it : "You can't bully him (Rishi Kapoor), You can't give him bull shit"! Ranbir is full of it, disrespecting his great father. There are boundaries, there are family matters, there is respect for parents , regardless. Why did he choose this venue to express himself? Because behind close door with a psychologist who is actually trained to help people with these kind of mental issues , he would not be able to try to put down his legendary father in front of millions and millions people around the world who admire, cherish, and respect Rishi Kapoor not only as a great legendary one of a kind actor but also as a person. This interview is not about Ranbir opening up, its about him degrading his father's memory. Ugly man inside and outside. His father understood him and could not relate to his son even though he loved him (so many interviews you can hear it through Rishi Ji comments). Power House, humbleness (even if he always called a black spade a black spade), and intelligence of Rishi Kapoor personality are striking opposites of his son's personality. Professional jealousy is what brought Ranbir here.
Appreciate Ranbir for so being honest about how a part of his childhood was, it comes from a place of maturity, seems like he is in the process of healing. Thankfully we are better aware today and are starting to have an open conversation, which is a very solid first step . Having said that, its difficult to watch the host toying with his beard/ looking judgmental/ distant/ lost & maybe some understanding the body language would be helpful for the future
The only line I could connect to is he didn't feel the loss when his dad passed away. Guess I will have the same feeling when I am in that moment. Though throughout my life I have felt it as the biggest loss and my biggest fear.

This is the first time I'll be saying this , I have mad respect for this person . I do understand where he is coming from now and coming from the same kind of family environment , just with more intense fights , it really does shape your whole personality. Just that you go through a lot mentally that it make you too cold and quiet .
Ranbir ji, now you are a father, and you will realize what your father was going through ... year's pass by ... you might give the love and affection what you missed from your father to your children.... you will not be able to justify yourself.... it's a chain .... chill being a son of Rishi ji ...
Why does Nikhil keep looking at his phone under the table, after asking a question?! As if he is not really interested in the answer. Does he understand it seems a bit rude. Ranbir is damn sweet here.
i think Neetu sing is a great wife brought up two wonderful kids ...I can understand Rishi ji its different generation. Ranbir is such self satisfied only concentrate on his work . he has not insta account
I saw him infront of display where I worked so I tried to talk to him , he was a very quiet and young a teenager . I asked 'Are you a Rishi kapoor's son? and he just looked at me, surprised and said 'yes!'[ I was more curious to know his father than young Ranbir who wasn't celebrity yet.] So his who was in the lobby came so fast with a drink on his hand ..he was lil concern towards his son like who you talking with . I took a pic with dad not with son. [I wish I should have taken with him too..thinking future star✨]
I never really liked him as a person... as an actor .. Yes,he's a superstar..but I thought he is NOT what he shows himself to be. But after this interview, I think I have some mad respect for this guy! ❤️🔥
Love you, Mr. Ranbir Kapoor, for your honest answers. Kudos to the interview, very dignified and somber approach not trying to demean but understand. God bless your new phase with your wife and daughter, Mr. Kapoor🎉
He is trying to be truthful but understandably hiding the extensive verbal/ mental abuse he has endured and is imitating either his father with own wife and child. Appears depressed and numb !
Nikhil Kamat has a serenity and calmness about him that almost no one in the podcast space has. Want to explore more of his content. The fact that he’s a 10th grade dropout and a self made billionaire is also mighty impressive…..
Ranbir Kapoor is undoubtedly the most talented actor. His humility and honesty also comes across quite clearly. It is these underrated qualities, that set him apart . He has a star quality about him that is just so unique. 🎉
Like everyone else, am fascinated by fascinated by the Prithviraj family of actors from Peshawar. Was very surprised to hear how Rishi Kapoor was! This looks like an interesting conversation.
I feel rishi never grew up and drinking didn’t help. He was used to being the baby of his star studded family and being the star and maybe there was an element of not wanting to let that go and pass that on to or share with his so, maybe felt threatened to some extent by the younger kapoor. Love Rishi kapoor, a good heart, a kind of childlike purity (and childishness on the negative )honest to the point of a fault and hurtful to his son. A kind and pure person. Some of it is the the way rishi himself related to his own larger than life and famous personality living in the shadows and trying to carve his own personality and Soace in the world and career.
Doesn’t matter if you had tonnes of wealth or lived on daily wages, every woman & child has gone through hell & everlasting trauma in the name of patriarchy, matrimony, culture & respect💔
Loved each other?? First time i see this kind of parenting being called love... I really thank god for my parents never did misbehave with each other... We children didn't know to abuse, fight, argue, giveback,anger.....

From woman to woman, take this podcast with a grain of salt. Why are you picking 10 secs out of this whole thing? He is talking about mental health issues, relationships with his family and literally talked about therapy as well. We need more men to come out and support other men in society because such issues are real, & that's how they become less violent, less agressive and be more empathetic. Why would should we as a society use entertainment to dictate our morality? I haven't watched that movie because that's my choice. Like every person is entitled to their opinion. Liking one thing doesn't make their whole personality. Grow the eff up.
@@ishygoel Ranbir actually talked with so much humility. I don't know if it was scripted honestly. He opened about his father which I never expected. Whole pod has such mature vibe. I loved it.
Hiii, Nikhil we are working on a project and would want to discuss with you can you provide just a chance to the startup please, it is in early stage and in HRtech domain
Ranbir and I are the same age, so it would be false to say that I watched much of his fathers work. Though, it may be cliche but I always felt the late Rishi’s personality was very much larger than life. He had that aura of patriarch, in that kind of self-assured, exuberant way. It’s not at all surprising to hear that Ranbir feels he hasn’t grieved, there are some losses that leave such a large vacuum, that you would rather not confront it and look away. Clearly, Kapoor Senior made mistakes, but nobody can accuse him of not making an impact. You need impactful characters in a family. I hope their family heal, and by extension I’m hoping therefore to see a shift in Ranbir, he is still that well-raised, humble, polite kid. I hope that he becomes a little more abrasive and assertive. Clearly as an artist, there are some underlying issues with self consciousness, and possibly guilt. It would be nice to see him shed that.
lets face it..a guy who was named after his legendary grandpop (and is quite talented himself) should be doing more films like rocket singh and less films like animal
@_chapternumberone_8782 the video has a thumbnail of Ranbir Kapoor...I'm sorry I don't have the attention span of a "reel watcher" like you. Also, did you just say Ranbir speaks so much? Why did you even click on the video then? He's expressing himself, not giving two-word answers like you'd have him do. Anything more than two words in a sentence would seem nonsensical to you because you cannot make sense of them, so, I'm not surprised by your comment. I wish you well, I wish you get to see the world beyond the two words you can comprehend.
Interviews are the best when the relevant and right questions are asked. This is one such interview. Not the plain stupid how you feel regarding xyz film
Such a great interview. I love you even more after this interview, Ranbir. Who is this interviewer? So rude. He seems to only be interested in the food.
Rishi seems like a really toxic person. Abusive and cheating husband. Distant and loud father. Very entitled and opinionated as a person. Seems like he was somehow jealous of his son to me.
i was mind blown at how much Ranbir expressed himself. He truly loved talking with Nikhil Kamath. The way he just started expressing all his feelings regarding his own relationship dynamic with Rishi Kapoor felt really wholesome.
Ranbir needs a hug. Rishi Kapoor was a great actor, but - by his own admission - had real failings as a father. Kudos to Ranbir for his honesty.
I feel neetuji also seems a bit open & happy after rishi kapoor passed away. Not that she didn't love him or doesn't miss him but she is being herself now

I 100% agree with you. Neetu Singh seems a much happier person now she is lovely and deserves to be happy.
It takes a lifetime to talk-about our childhood trauma and then it takes years to find that one person to connect,Trust and listen to us.

I loved it.
The anchor looks very nervous"………he is just keeping on eating Ranbir Kapoor is very good
not nervous. He is showing his stupidity
This style should be trademarked by Nikhil: "You talk, I eat" 🙃
I also want such conversation with some one
😂
He is married to my favourite actress : so glad he married her: I feel she will love and look after him:
He missed one of Ranbir’s best performances- Tamaasha.
9:49 glitch
Very natural interview. Truthful. Ranbir Kapoor is really a very good guy.
Hiii,
Nikhil we are working on a project and would want to discuss with you can you provide just a chance to the startup please, it is in early stage and in HRtech domain
I think this interview was Refreshing casual and interesting felt more like talking 🗣
Why the anchor is so ...careless, more interested in the food...I didn't like a bit...
This was really a great conversation
Interesting to hear that NK liked Animal 😮
Ran it kapoor and karishma kapoor very decent kapoor blood not like kareena same with shashi Kapoor children very cultured down to earth childrens
The host is only interested in gulping and humming 😅
I love whole podcast if there is no cut ..5.22 time
0:30 fake compliment? Feels like it lol.
The interviewer needs to let him talk...I'm 2 and a half minutes in and he's already cut him off thrice...
ranbir speaks so much! just watch the interview first before speaking nonsense
@@_chapternumberone_8782so is he playing some sort of puzzle over here?? Obviously it's a podcast and he is expressing himself
Write a letter to your father
Interviews are the best when the relevant and right questions are asked. This is one such interview. Not the plain stupid how you feel regarding xyz film
Nikhil says he loved animal movie…
Such a great interview. I love you even more after this interview, Ranbir.
Who is this interviewer? So rude. He seems to only be interested in the food.
Cut a long story short his old man was rude to others.
Rishi seems like a really toxic person. Abusive and cheating husband. Distant and loud father. Very entitled and opinionated as a person. Seems like he was somehow jealous of his son to me.
Rk you are the best human being and a best son
Why is the interviewer more at home than Ranbir???,he shoube leading the chat more?
Because he is worth more than Ranbir😂 3.5 billion dollars
