As usual crisp and to the point. Fabulous one Dada. Looking forward for the next one....I am begining my option journey from this video in a systamatic manner.
@@3bong Haha..see how closely I observe you.. I always look forward to your updates on Twitter/TH-cam. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us.. Please upload more videos on Option Greeks in future. :D
Awesome video on basics Subhadip da. Can you please demonstrate adjustment as well? what if in spite of all the analysis your positions do into losses, how do u come out unscathed?
There is no single solution or shortcut to adjustments. Each position/strategy is different, the place where you get trapped had a different time position, a different vega view. So each adjustment depends on the position and the prevailing greeks at that point of time. And btw, it's not always I come out unscathed, sometimes have to give up and book losses 😄
Underlying price is the price of Future or Cash? If a stock is trading at 200 in cash & 250 in future than 200 CE is ATM or ITM ? what finally happens on expiry?
Sir cash price and future price will same at the time of expiry so before expiry days the price move with respect to future price you have to follow future price and at the expiry both price will match ....thanks any doubt 7471110609 Raj option seller
Underlying price is the price of the "underlying asset". So it will be the stock's price in cash (Spot price). In case of your example, a Rs. 200 strike option will be ATM as the stock's spot price is Rs. 200. ATM options have only extrinsic value and no intrinsic value. In your example, if at expiry, the stock is at 200 exactly, the 200 CE will have no value and expire worthless. At expiry, if the Stock is at any price above 200, the 200 CE will have intrinsic value, becomes ITM, and will expire with value. If at expiry, the Stock is at any price below Rs. 200, the 200CE option will be OTM and expire worthless....Hope this helps :)
@@sujoymistri402 please go to BNF option chain and co relate the delta there with spot and future to satisfy your answer. Spot is 35000 and it's corresponding delta is 58.
And why would the cash trade at 200 and the future at 250? That would be a highly unusual scenario. I strongly suggest that you first understand the normal basics before thinking of abnormalities

First observe any stock future and monthly options. Ensure that there is no dividend.
