Dear Alan, very heart warming to watch your video series and see this wonderful icon of Britain and London being put to good use. I am also most impressed with the work carried out for the conversion. I think you are making a lot of people happy in your local area. You are also making people wider afield happy (I am a Brit living in the Netherlands).
Great Video, have you ever considered batteries supported by solar and grid power with the generator as backup. Unsure of what storage you would have under the Red bus but could give you several hours of power before the generator had to kick in depending on how big your battery bank could be?. Cheers
Thank you for another enjoyable video Alan. Very interesting to see how The generator works. It’s good to see how a route master can be transformed into a mobile fish and chip shop after passenger use.
Thanks Lee. I still have all the original seats in case the next owner wants to restore it back to original - but I think it might now always be a catering bus!
Lovely to see bus again. Could you not have used an external generator, just pop it outside the bus and plug in, I use a large one for work and it is brilliant.
I have a standby 5Kw genny in case the main one fails. It fits on the platform but is very noisy - I only use it when I have to! I had though about a trailer mounted genny but not practical for village work.
Yes, unless we are connected to outside generator or mains supply. I think some people think its the bus engine running. I tried to silence it as much as possible but there's always going to be some noise. I've know the top deck to be full of people eating and you dont notice the sound of the generator! I could have mounted the generator in a seperate trailer but that wouldn't work for village work. Thanks for your comments.

Hi Alan fit a one way valve at the generator end ..it will work a treat on that setup 😎😍

Thanks Simon. Yes, hope we can get out and about soon!
Very nice
Thanks Stephen!
alan lovely job but the generator should be down at the side of the bus enclosed
Hi Robert. No room downstairs (which is where I'd have prefered it).

Does the generater be running like that when people are dining up stairs🤔
