Maybe just MAYBE this whole thing could’ve been avoided before it got to this level. All the internet commandos in here, remember when you bring a firearm, you also bring the full weight of a worst-case prison sentence to what may have been initially avoided with verbal judo. I don’t blame the home owner at this point for carrying a gun, since it’s escalated to a daily show of weapons etc.. but some of you sound like you’re just itchy to get in a gun fight, which is either an indication of false bravado or it may mean you have no business carrying a firearm to begin with. Blank Blank I feel for you buddy. Had an ass move in behind me, started shooting guns into the hill my house was on. Coming up the hill and telling me I was putting brush in his yard, threatening, whole trash family up at 3 in the morning tripping on who knows what, with 10 flashlights up and down said hill screaming at each other, and an imaginary man. Then my neighbor beside me starts deciding she’s a mechanic and stacks 15 cars and an RV in her 80’x 35’ wide front lawn. Then the jackass that just walks into your yard looking for a drone that he was flying around your bedroom window.
Not a good indicator,...my neighbor seemed ok,...until he attacked my 15 yr old grand daughter,in OUR yard...

I love how it's legal for these people to harass him and prevent him from accessing his property, and if he were to do anything about it he'd be facing the legal issues.

Edit: We used to deal with people like this that made life hard for the herd, now we give out participation trophies and tell people "bad, don't do that". Add insult to injury, we sit around and wonder why this country is royally fucked right now. I had neighbors like this. They smashed their truck into my shed, poisoned my dog and stole anything I didn’t tie down. As a single mom I was so glad to finally move, I knew I was going to end up in jail if I didn’t.

You saw it in the video, they are trying to goad him into a situation where they think they'll be able to justify gunning him down. They never will precisely because this guy has tons of documentation against them including police reports and previous charges.

The host said that dogs are considered properties and that you can't shoot a neighbor's dog that attacks your dog since the neighbor's dog was only posting a danger to your "property" when his dog attacks your dog and not a human being. If that is the case, then how come he can't shoot the neighbor's dog since it is only property anyway, right? Can't afford a dog the same rights as humans, right?

I had a neighbor like that.
I'm a single woman living out in the country on a farm. I had a crazy neighbor, and his son, that lived about a quarter-mile from me. Our road is on a dead end as well, but HE had to drive past MY farm.
It started with his 5 dogs coming on my property and killing my chickens.
My farm is completely fenced with an electric gate at my driveway. My whole property is pole fenced with a 4x4 inch hog wire. My chickens were free-range chickens, so they stayed in my pasture during the day, and would roost in my barn, or a tree at night.
His dogs would dig under my fencing. I'd come home from work and find 10 dead chickens in my pasture.
I live out in the wild with cougars and coyotes, etc. And only one time, has a coyote came into my pasture, and taken a chicken. I don't mind that, because they EAT the chickens and it was springtime, so there were probably pups involved. However, when dogs kill chickens, they just leave them lying around dead...THAT pissed me off.
I called animal control, numerous times and was told because my chickens weren't in a "coop", they weren't considered "livestock," and there was nothing they could do. I couldn't even take pictures, because I was at work or sleeping when the attacks were committed.
There were NO guns involved, but the son drove a jacked-up pickup and had two giant Confederate flags blowing from each side of his pickup cab. When he would drive by my house, he would rev up his engine, spinning his tires, all along my property line...rinse and repeat, every damn day or night. It was CONSTANT harassment. And, just about every day, we had some vile laden, screaming matches you wouldn't believe.
I own guns and keep them handy. I would take a few potshots at the dogs to scare them off, but they always returned.
However, these men were HUGE and MEAN. I NEVER backed down, (because a country gal wouldn't even think about that)...but, I was terrified of them.
I bought my farm in 1996, they bought theirs in 2005...the bank foreclosed on their farm in 2011...YAY. I still own my farm and they are GONE, but there was some bad, scary stuff going on.
Glad you had the patience to wait it out, and it was resolved without bloodshed.

It’s insane that we keep letting criminals wander the street. This seriously pisses me off. These people get away with tormenting others, get “cited” and then will likely do something worse or kill something, and then go to jail after the fact. It’s ridiculous!
Police are useless alot of the time unfortunately. They don't do shit until someone ends up hurt or dead. They act like it isn't their job to handle neighbor disputes. I had a neighbor my wife and I feuded with for months, they destroyed one of my daughter's toys, cops said they couldn't do anything, sent a message to a mutual acquaintance showing a pic of a gun saying our dog was barking and he wanted to shoot it, cops did nothing, it's pathetic how useless they are alot of the time. Luckily they got evicted for not paying rent but it was only a matter of time before a physical confrontation ended up happening and someone got hurt.

They let most negligent, reckless, and criminal killer / dangerous motorists go even with insurmountable cut and dry evidence (a criminal motorist has to basically be DUI AND test positive for drugs / alcohol at the scene for a chance of being charged after a crash that results in serious injury or death whether clearly intentional, not, or somewhere in-between) / fail to enforce laws and issue violations against motorists sufficiently enough to deter nuisance and dangerous driving, shrug when you ask for help, victim blame, cite you for violations that don't exist or do not apply, don't receive proper training and / or enough of it, prevent those that are 'too smart' from joining the force, etc. Then the DA is just as bad. All of this while making use of classic North American universal 'reactionary policing' rather than proactive policing beyond just level 1: presence (i.e. security theater).
These degenerates just need to face the wall.
The lack of action could be related to who they are. I can see the confederate flag on the property, so maybe they are politically connected.

One of my friends shot his neighbor after a year of harrassment, threats and violence. The neighbor moved a month later after being arrested at the hospital, losing his job and his wife kicking him out. This stuff can definitely escalate. People are absolutely insane!!
The authorities not dealing with the prohibitive possessor is dangerous for everybody. They should be held legally accountable for not enforcing the law.

You don’t know how the law works. Can you prove beyond a reasonable doubt that is a firearm and not a cap gun? Not common sense, physical hard proof? Unless she shoots if off or gets caught with it, you can’t tell if it’s real or not.
As for the drug dealing, same thing, you do not know how the law works. If you call the cops and say I have a lot of traffic coming and going from my house and you believe I’m selling drugs, they can’t get a warrant or arrest me off that alone. If you cant testify on the stand in court that you saw me sell drugs with your own two eyes, then whatever you say is irrelevant. If the cops come in my house off that information and do not find drugs, you just got the state sued.
I feel for this guy. We had neighbors not quite as bad. After nearly 30 years, they moved away. New neighbors are the nicest folks you could imagine.

The guy had dogs that ran at large constantly, killed livestock from multiple houses around the area.
Threatened me, and my friends with a firearm, cut our phone lines....
We called police and animal control multiple times, even took him to court.
Some people are just broken.
I'm so glad I moved, because I know if I didn't he would've ended up regretting his actions.
I think the real tactical lesson here is, don't live on a dead end road.

Few years ago a guy was at a coffee shop here in Oregon. His dog was attacked by another. He shot the attacking dog and didn’t face any charges.
