It’s safe to say I was genuinely impressed with the update to this tool in Photopea. Have fun trying it out on your own images! (also, sorry for my voice in today’s video... trying to shift a stubborn cold. Just in time for Christmas...)
Great job on breaking down the process into easy-to-follow steps. This will definitely help beginners and seasoned editors alike to understand the full potential of Photopea's free tools.
Just want to add for anyone who's having an issue with certain parts within, say, a face also getting cut out by the tool; the good thing is, it's easily fixable! Just go into the layer mask and use the erase tool to remove parts of the mask you want to show in your image.
Hello, I wanted to know why when I finish a project in Photopea the quality drops a lot it always happens to me, except when I use "youtube cover" but if I choose I open a new project in TH-cam thumbnails or any other when I finish it and export it the quality drops
Hi, yes - all you'd need to do, is once you have got the normal background removed, make sure the layer mask is selected, and press ctrl + I (on a PC) or cmd + I (Mac) to invert the cutout.

Smudging the layer mask is such a good tip!
Thanks - it can be a real life saver for making quick and targeted tweaks to layer masks
Looks impressive, but you can't see how well it actually did until you put a solid color behind it.
Impressive. Both the program and your video. Can't believe how easy that is.
Thank you! Yes it's very powerful for how simple and quick it is.
