    Son far I have tested/used both Opentrack/Neuralnet and Opentrack/AITrack and they work flawlessly. Thanks for sharing your experience. 😀

    Opentrack has an included neuralnet option that serves the same purpose as AITrack.

      In my testing the Opentrack's neuralnet is about as good as the "Fast" AITrack model (using the same curves, etc). AITrack "Medium" that I am using in the video is better.

      @@tomskst-pierre6981 i'm trying that out for a long time now and Opentrack with the same settings but without AITrack feels way more sensitive, unstable, and impossible to have a steady look and especially zoom, than "Fast" on AITrack. But AITrack gives me 10/15 fps less. Is there a way to have the "Fast" or "Medium" feeling without AITrack on Opentrack? Or a way to fix all of this jumping around and shakes?

    It's been 9 months already. Are you still using this bundle? Can you tell me what kind of camera you have? Or a link to the store?

      It's a generic no name 1080p camera I got from Amazon eons ago. I still use the face tracker when it's too hot for headphones or when I'm too lazy to plug in Opentrack/TrackIR diodes, but diodes are still better. You get 120Hz smoothness with Ps3Eye/TIR and better precision. I treat facetracker as a very workable compromise.

    Thanks for the video. I'm in the process of setting up a similar system for a friend. I myself have TrackIR, and the problem I have now is that the response time feels a little off with the AItrack/opentrack variant. TrackIR is much more responsive and responds instantly. It's easier to focus and follow with TrackIR through fast movements. We mostly play prop and then there are very fast and tight movements. :)
    I have tried with normal webcam at 30fps, and I tried to connect the mobile phone via iVCam and run it at 640x480 60fps, because the normal camera only had 30fps, it feels smoother in the movements but feels that it still has a small response time delay . TrackIR uses 120 Hz and this may be the problem with the response time delay. I assume that there will be a faster response with a faster update frequency.
    I saw that the PlayStation Eye camera is 120Hz at 320x240, so I ordered one for $10 and will try it out when it arrives. The only question is whether it is too low a resolution?
    What kind of camera are you using and do you notice any delay in the response time when you turn your head?
    I really appreciate you sharing your settings, it really helped me along the way. :)

      In short, TrackIR is king, there is nothing on the market that matches its responsiveness. I know, I've compared it against PS3eye, my current no name 60fps cam used in this video. TrackIR has 9ms response time (120Hz @640x480), PS3 eye has 50ms (75Hz @640x480), GrassMonkey Odyssey has 24ms (240Hz @640x480). So this video is an example of a compromise, certainly not state-of-the-art headtracking. But do let me know if you find something better:)

    What webcam are you using? Is the frames of the camera essential for smoother tracking? Is 30fps not enough for smooth tracking?

    • @sklify1232
      @sklify1232 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It's some no-name camera from amazon. 30fps +smoothing gives decent results. But, as I've said before, this setup beats TrackIR andPS3eye only in convenience, the outright performance and precision of 120fps diode tracking systems is better.

    Does using both OpenTrack and AITrack at the same time in background while playing issues/lag/freezes/overheat or any kind of problem? Even on low end PCs or laptop? I know using just Opentrack is ok, but is there any complication if i use both? I've set everything with Opentrack but wanted to try combining the two, since you said just Opentrack neuralnet is not as good as AITrack "medium". Why is that? Is using just Opentrack too fast or sensitive? Or unprecise? Thanks for answering to all my questions

    • @tomskst-pierre6981
      @tomskst-pierre6981  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DCS is multithreaded these days so extra 10% (medium AItrack) or extra 15% (heavy) should be equally unnoticed on a reasonably new CPU with 6 cores or more. I chose medium as it felt every bit as good as heavy. Low end PC - I do not know.

    • @RogerNorse
      @RogerNorse ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tomskst-pierre6981 so choosing "low" or "medium" doesn't change the accuracy of tracking, it just adds load to the CPU?

    • @tomskst-pierre6981
      @tomskst-pierre6981  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RogerNorse I'm sure it does add accuracy, it just doesn't feel like it.

    • @RogerNorse

      @@tomskst-pierre6981 got it. And what about the Z axis (zooming with your head)? When i do it the camera turns extremely sensitive and jumps around, i used just your settings, but with Opentrack/Neuralnet, trying other games like War Thunder Sim or SF2. May it be due to not using AITrack? Is there a way to fix it? And another thing: I just tried the same exact settings, combining AITrack too, but i have to press "start" on both Opentrack and AITrack to make it work, you pressed it just on AITrack, why is that? And all settings are inverted and the octopus head is like half rolled and feels very weird. Are you sure AITrack adds accuracy? Otherwise i'll just stick with Opentrack/Neuralnet

    • @tomskst-pierre6981
      @tomskst-pierre6981  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RogerNorse The jumping camera maybe due to the filter settings, make sure you set them like @11:02 in the video. Also, turn on preview in AItrack and make sure the pink mask does not lose your face. AI track needs to be switched on separately from Opentrack. As for the rest - feel free to experiment :)
