    For sure even as a new Figure Skating Coach, you know the sequence of teaching the next section of a figure skating class. I know our next Saturday figure skating class will be 'SPINS" . great job on this Coach Jazmin.
    Thanks. CHEERS

    Love the details!! Maybe a backspin? And back scratch? Or just a regular scratch spin :)

    Hi Jasmin, I found that learning a 1 foot spin was easier than a 2 foot spin in the beginning. I think this is because I'm too used to the turnboard or something.

    Thank you very much for teaching. I'm a beginner and I've tried doing 2-foot spins several times, but I haven't been able to. It will be possible if you teach how to 2 foot spins in detail. It's something I want to pass but I haven't succeeded when watching other teachers' clips. I really like your teaching. It really made me improve. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    I’m glad I found this video! You included some details my coaches never even mentioned. I’m excited to practice this now!
    Also LOL at the kid. They always gravitate towards the more experienced skaters.

    your tips absolutely make sense!! I won‘t be seeing my trainer for a couple of weeks so I‘ll try these out tomorrow :) I‘ve been doing exactly what you said beginners usually do: lead with the left arm and then try to force the spin lol

    Im moving soon and switching rinks. My current rink is isi and my new rink is usfs. What level would be freestyle 6? Lol I’m sure someone on here will know. Also loved the video! My favorite spins are my layback and my flying camel lol

    any tips on centering? mine travel so much i never get speed

    • @jrg305
      @jrg305 ปีที่แล้ว

      I travel but have plenty of speed lol. Never been able to center. The edge skids if I hold it deeper. I think it is just a matter of being able to have body balance, which I feel more when I use my spinner regularly. But I'm just blind teaching the blind here.

    I tried your tip in putting the right arm in front for the LFO entry edge, and it really helped, as you said, in making it less “swingy” thereby stabilizes my spin. However, at times I find my spins look more like loop turns both in the ice tracing and videos of my movements. I don’t know what I did wrong and how to correct it. Any suggestions?

    i already started learning the scratch but i feel like i have missed a step on learning the regular spin, it is hard for me to get balance and speed, when i straighten my leg (that's on the ice) while spinning i almost stop and i don't know what i have to improve. it feels like i can't find the balance on the ball of my foot like that part of the blade that we have to spin

    Question - when you pull your arms in, does it matter if you place the arms more to the left or the right side, or in the middle of your chest?

    I find my spins have a lot of a scraping sound from the toe pick, any tips? Also how tight should the spin circle be (blade on ice)

    This video is really helpful I sometimes myself have to go back and work on the one foot spins even though I can do others like the: Camel spin, Sit spin and Layback spin I tried doing it into the Bellman spin but it’s just too complicated!!

    • @SparkleSkater
      @SparkleSkater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't like layback.
      In the Bellman spin I hurt my neck and my shoulder 4 years ago and after that I don't do that anymore, right know I want to get back again my Bellman spin
